Aletha looked at Hikaru. She still wasn’t sold on this whole meditation stuff. But seeing how it changed Kailu and how Hikaru was speaking highly of it, Aletha couldn’t bring herself to say something condescending.

“Ahhhh, I’m stuffed” said Jessica as she finished drinking her soup.

“Want another bowl?” asked Hikaru but she smiled and shook her head.

“If I keep eating and eating I’ll get more fat. So I better not” said Jessica playfully.

“Huh, do you get fat and slim in this world? Just like the real world?” asked Aletha.

“Yeah. Everything about this world is so real and similar to our world. Well, except the super powers and the bizarre environment” said Jessica.

“There is still so much I don’t know about this world. Hey, Hikaru. Do you have anything to share to us?” asked Aletha.

Hikaru looked at the ceiling for a moment but chuckled and spoke:

“If you wish to hear me, I have a lot to say.
But such is the case with people and their ears.
They open when what they hear suits their wants
They close when what they hear hurts their beliefs.
I am not an entertainer of your prejudices.
I can only speak the truth and only that which matters”

Aletha looked at him for a while. But soon grumpiness took over her. She was getting impatient with how mysterious the man acts and talks.

“Then answer me this. Who created this world? And why? I know Jessica was the one who awakened my soul from an orb state. But why was I here in an orb state to begin with? There has to be some answer to all of this”.

Those words bulleted out of Aletha’s mouth. Hikaru heard all of those with a smile on his face. Then spoke:

“What I speak is not fact.
It is merely my own observation.

Life is a mystery of sorts.
A mystery such that cannot be unraveled.

  Little does the mind know.
That life may contain the mind
  But mind cannot contain life.

To know the mysteries of existence.
  One must not question.
  One must become the question.

   To know the whole
One must not question the whole
   One must become whole.

   The ways of the whole
   The ways of the universe.
   You may not know
   I may not know

The grass is green because it is green
The earth is round because it is round.

Whatever happens, it is the will of the Omniwill.
Such is the case. Will of the willless existence.
The matter that we have met one another is such
The matter that we may depart at some point is such
Such is the case. Will of the willless existence.

Dear Aletha. I have been in this strange world for over a year.
I have not encountered the god who made the world.
I have not encountered the devil who threw us in the realm of pain
Such is the case that whatever existence wills is mindless, purposeless.
Only man lives in purpose and goal due to his mind of time.
On the other hand, the universe simply floats endlessly”.

When Hikaru finished his rhymes Jessica and Aletha peered towards him cluelessly.

“So, you’re saying that this world has no creator? No mastermind behind it?” inquired Aletha.

“There is no mind that desires to master over you, do not be worried.
The only observation that I have of this world is that it’s limitless and purposeless.
A goal oriented mind would not create such a place” said Hikaru serenly.

“Hoo, so there really is no creator to this world? It just sort of been created?” asked Jessica.

“Yes, just like our world, this world of fantasy is no exception” said Hikaru.

“But…are you sure that there isn’t a creator in our world too?” asked Jessica.

Hikaru smiled as he cleaned the plates and bowls in the bucket.

“If there was such a creator, things would be…troublesome” said Hikaru.

“Why would that be?” Jessica asked.

“Man’s pride does not allow him to be a machine made with a purpose.
Man would fight for his freedom, no doubt.
To surpass his creator and find his own purpose.”

Jessica became silent and pondered over the words.

“Alright. It’s definitely a weird revelation. But besides that, I wanna ask this. What do you mean by how I mustn’t question and instead become one with the whole? Become the question. What does that mean? You’ve been mumbling about nonsensical stuff. Even if I don’t believe you one bit, I still paid attention” said Aletha with sharp eyes and cold voice.

But contrast to her mean attitude, Hikaru chuckled and spoke:

“It is good that you don’t believe me.
A doubting mind is a natural mind.
A believing mind is a naïve mind.
But one must not stop at doubt and logic.
For doubt is the seed to faith
For logic is the seed to the illogical.
Observe, Aletha.
Observe your doubting mind, the doubting thoughts, the inner chattering.
And know that you are different from the voices within your head”.
