We at the DaiKami certainly speak for everyone when we say that Dai-Sensei is the best demon lord to ever live and, indeed, who ever will live. We can all aspire to be as great and powerful as Dai-Sensei. We may never reach his level of greatness, but we can try to meet it.

However, even our greatest of great leaders has a few odd points to him. We all know that Dai-Sensei is a powerful shapeshifter, but have any of us really seen his true body?

Every time the Daimyo appears, he does so under the guise of a new form. We know it’s not mere illusion magic for how he interacts with the world; each body he inhabits is a physical form, but they are often so different that common features can not easily be found.

We know that Dai-Sensei uses true transformation magic, so perhaps we should consider what types of Demons could do such things. We at the DaiKami have been hard at work to bring you this comprehensive and thoroughly researched list of possibilities for Dai-Sensei’s scandalous true form:

Changeling - The defining characteristic of a changeling is the ability to look like anyone. An advanced changeling can even mimic animals and inanimate objects. In this regard, the changeling theory seems strong. However, what changelings have in self-transformation they usually lack in outward force. Just one of the many ways in which Dai-Sensei is simply the best is his super-demon ego and mastery of transforming others in addition to himself. There is simply no way a weak-willed changeling would be able to accomplish these feats, much less become a Daimyo!

(Although a changeling could probably impersonate a Daimyo just fine. Going to need to bring that one up with Dai-Sensei later.)

Dragon - This option would answer a lot of questions. Dragons are known to be masters of many kinds of magic, transformative ones among them. They are also known to be ludicrously powerful with massive egos, though perhaps not always especially bright. Unfortunately, so far as we at the DaiKami are aware, Dai-Sensei has never breathed fire. We are 190% sure that this disqualifies him from being a dragon.

Fox or Raccoon Dog Demon - These are interesting possibilities but considered unlikely by the DaiKami. For one thing, it’s somewhat unclear whether these demons use illusion- or transformation-based magic. For another, Raccoon Dogs are known cowards and ball draggers. As for the Foxes, basic spirit mathematics dictates that it would take your average Fox Demon thousands of years to do even the simplest of tricks that Dai-Sensei can accomplish, and they would have a corresponding tail count of about a billion. Dai-Sensei does not have a billion tails and therefore can not possibly be a Fox.

Slime - I’m actually not sure sure how this got in the list. He’s obviously not a slime. Pretty good joke though.

Succubus - Succubus are well known to take the ideal form of their lovers. Unfortunately, they are even better know to turn their lover’s ideal form into them. Moreover, Dai-Sensei has no lovers! That’s a bit scandalous in its own right, but disqualifies him from being a Succubus

And there you have it; Dai-Sensei’s demonology will never be known because he is not any existing type of demon. He is a being wholly unique to himself which we here at the DaiKami have chosen to dub “DaiDemon”.
