Ok...
Now I feel stupid, what appeared to be the afterlife void was actually an egg...

And apparently it wasn't the only one. Looking around there were several eggs similar to mine, some of them still breaking, others not so much.
Humanoid green lizards the size of children still in the broken shell of their eggs, looked around them with sparkling eyes of curiosity. 'Uh?'

Immediately I cut off the thought realizing a fact that I overlooked, I stared at my hands...

'Scales... As expected, I was hatched from an egg after all.' I thought, mentally sighing.
'Uh? Why do they all have green scales and mine are red?'

'Wait, don't tell me... I'm a dragon? Oh, please tell me I've been reincarnated as a fucking over-powered Dragon.'

Excited I immediately looked at my body.

Red scales shining like blood, five fingers on my hands with big sharp claws, a tail as long as my whole body, little horns sprouting in my head, no wings...

'No wings, huh!' I thought disappointed.
'Dragons kinda have wings right? Maybe they'll grow later? Thinking about it, I've just been born... reincarnated... hatched?

'Whatever I think about that tomorrow.'

Apparently baby lizards feel very tired right after being hatched and need sleep, myself included.
So I shut my eyes and surrendered myself to the sleepness of the dream world.
