The creature’s form stabilized at 90% completion. Now, it was time for the final phase. The BEC entity required an external energy source to remain functional outside of its containment field. Traditional power cells wouldn’t work, the quantum nature of its body would interfere with standard electrical currents. Instead, the designers had devised a unique solution: a quantum vacuum energy siphon.

The chamber pulsed as ultra-high-frequency Casimir fields were introduced, creating a localized zero-point energy draw. The creature’s form absorbed the fluctuations, its body pulsing as it synchronized with the energy signature. "Power levels stable at 84%," Ego reported.

Zack crossed his arms. "That should be enough for a test run. Initiate final sequence."

The chamber’s restraints disengaged. For a moment, the creature remained still, its body rippling like liquid glass. Then, it moved. Zack tensed as the entity took its first step forward, its motion smooth yet uncanny, like a being unstuck from time, shifting between frames of reality. He activated his visor’s spectral analysis, monitoring its quantum resonance. "How’s its stability?" he asked.

"98% cohesion," Ego responded. "No structural degradation detected." Finally. The BEC Creature was taking form again. This was the power of technology. The power to reshape the future.

Zack watched the process unfold, already planning ahead. "If I can perfect this technology, then taking over Earth will be even faster."

He turned to Ego. "Ego, keep monitoring the system. If anything happens, alert me immediately."

"Understood, SIR."

Back at the mansion When Zack returned to the main hall, he found Sophia and Carter sitting together, watching TV. Annie’s voice immediately rang out. "Brother! You went straight into the lab without even looking at us when you got back!" She pouted, arms crossed
.
Zack chuckled. "I had something important to work on. I’ll show you something cool later."

Hearing that, Annie’s mood improved slightly. But before Zack could sit down, Carter suddenly looked up at him and, "Daddy…" Zack froze. The casual smirk on his face stiffened instantly.

The way she looked at him, like a daughter gazing at her father, made him feel deeply uncomfortable. When the hell did I get a kid this old?! Sophia, watching his reaction, couldn’t help but burst into laughter. "I’m going to make some food," she said, still amused. A warm meal. A simple thing, but in a world like this, it was something to cherish.

Just as Zack was about to sit down to eat, Ego’s voice interrupted. "SIR, there’s an issue with the BEC Creature production line."

The alarms in the facility had activated one after another. Zack’s movements stilled. ‘A problem?’ He took a final bite, wiped his mouth, and stood up. "Thanks for the meal, Sophia," he said.
She raised an eyebrow, surprised. "You’re being unusually polite."
Zack smirked. "I’ll be back soon. Wait for me."

Then, without another word, he left the mansion, heading straight for the production center. Inside the factory, red warning lights flashed. Every machine was sounding an error alarm. Ego had been working on restoring the production system, but something was wrong. Half of the production line had shut down.

Zack’s brow furrowed. The values on the monitors weren’t adding up. And yet, the data and instructions were inputted exactly as calculated. There shouldn’t be a problem. So why was the system failing?

Zack’s eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, ready to find out. One of the energy bodies began to show signs of instability. The values on Zack’s monitors spiked dangerously. Alarms blared. "Ego, what the hell is going on?" Zack’s expression hardened as he scanned the fluctuating data.

"SIR, still analyzing the cause," Ego responded.
Zack frowned, cross-referencing the production values with his own calculations. Everything matched perfectly. There shouldn’t be an issue. So why was the energy body going berserk. Before he could pinpoint the cause, BOOM!

One of the containment chambers exploded. The impact sent shards of reinforced glass flying, and blue energy liquid splattered onto the production lines. "SIR, the energy body has gone rogue!" Ego's voice was urgent.

Apex Mk2 automatically moved to shield Zack as the situation escalated. Zack slipped on his VR interface, giving him a real-time enhanced view of the unfolding chaos. Bose-Einstein Condensate was already difficult to control under normal conditions. Now, it was going critical. "SIR, I recommend immediate evacuation!" Ego insisted.

"Stay calm, Ego." Zack’s tone was sharp but steady. He wasn’t the same man he had been before, he didn’t run from problems. He solved them.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

More containment chambers detonated, sending energy fluids surging across the factory floor. The liquid ate through metal like acid, short-circuiting equipment and triggering small fires. Even from the mansion, Sophia and Annie could hear the distant explosions. "Brother’s messing with something dangerous again, huh?" Annie muttered, still fiddling with her gadget.

Inside the factory, the situation worsened. One energy body had begun devouring another. Then another. Each time it consumed a fellow condensate, its energy signature intensified. The air temperature plummeted. Zack could feel the unnatural cold creeping into his bones. This isn’t good.

A single rogue entity was manageable, but an unstable, merged Bose-Einstein Condensate? That was a disaster waiting to happen. "Ego, locate the core energy body!"

"SIR, directly in front of you!"

BANG!

Zack didn’t hesitate. He fired. A plasma burst struck the energy mass dead center, sending shockwaves through the facility. The explosion ripped through the production line, momentarily halting the entity’s growth. The chilling air began to recede, Then surged back even stronger. "SIR, we need to evacuate immediately!" Ego's warning blared in Zack’s helmet. "The rogue energy is undergoing polymerization."

Zack gritted his teeth. He had one last fail-safe. "Ego, initiate Plan B!" Apex Mk2’s thrusters ignited as Zack propelled himself backward.

BOOM! BOOM!

At that moment, the factory detonated. Zack had anticipated a potential containment failure. That’s why he had ordered his manufacturing bugs to create a high-temperature ceramic isolation zone around the facility.

As the explosions tore through the factory, the ground beneath them ruptured, releasing molten ceramic slurry. A superheated wave of liquefied ceramic engulfed the lab, incinerating everything in its path. No matter how powerful the Bose-Einstein Condensate was, it couldn’t survive this.

As Zack hovered above the smoldering ruins, he remained expressionless. ‘Good thing I was prepared.’ Had he underestimated the threat, he might have been consumed by his own creation.

The mechanical bugs swarmed in, swiftly working to extinguish fires and assess damage. "Alright, let’s figure out what went wrong." Zack descended, scanning the remains of the production line.

The data should have been flawless. The numbers were correct. The formulas were precise. So why did the system collapse? Then it hit him. "Wait… The problem wasn’t my calculations. The system itself is unstable."

Ego ran a secondary analysis and confirmed Zack’s suspicion. "SIR, as you predicted, the production system contains fundamental flaws."

Zack’s gaze darkened. Even if he repaired it, the same issue would happen again. And next time, he might not be so lucky. His expression hardened. "Destroy it," he ordered. "It’s not worth the risk." Ego immediately complied.
