After advancing to the middle stage of the mana condensation realm, Allen’s mana increased several times. His body was covered in impurity.

He rushed out of the hole and went to the river. He plunged into the water and got out after no impurity remained on his body.

Allen knelt and closed his eyes to focus on other visions. Eren and Ren met with Johan. They were peeking inside the village from the two wooden gates. His undead minions seemed to decrease, but their numbers were still many, around fifty from hundred.

Allen couldn’t connect to the third ghost woman that followed Mircalla. He looked at the situation inside the gate through the ghosts who were with them.

Mircalla was fighting with the black goblin shaman. In the middle of the village, Vanilla and Reymond were hung to wooden crosses. Below them were straws.

The other goblins gathered to watch the fight between shaman and Mircalla.

“I can’t take this anymore!” Ren suddenly shouted.

As Ren wanted to step into the gate, Johan spoke, “Oi, where are you going, Early Stage Acolyte?”

“Where? Saving my fiancée of course. The goblins are focused on Elder Karnstein’s fight!”

Johan sneered. “You are too weak. They will find you.”

Ren gritted his teeth. “So, what’s your solution? Elder Karnstein is in trouble too facing the shaman. We can’t just watch and do nothing!”

“Who said we will do nothing? All of you, line up!”

Johan lifted the cross necklace over his chest and chanted, “Mass Package!”

Everyone, excluding undead minions and ghosts, was enveloped in white mist. Johan pointed his cross necklace at Ren and gave him another buff that increased his level to 30 temporarily.

He looked at the undead minions and ghosts. Allen made them wary. The light attribute is good at dealing with the undead, dark creatures, and evil spirits.

“You who are controlling these undead. I don’t have the intention to exorcise your playthings. Relax.”

Johan chanted a spell and a light cube appeared above him. It blackened before exploding, enveloping the undead minions and ghosts in black mist.

“My buff only increased their strength slightly. That’s the only thing I can do for your undead. You can still help with your undead’s number.”

Ren who had gained buff still intended to go alone. However, Peter tapped his shoulder. “Don’t be reckless, Mr. Ren. I have an idea.”

Peter looked at Johan. “Mr. Ashker, can you speed up the process of channeling spell? I intend to use my supreme magic against the black goblins.”

“As expected of someone who is blessed by my lord. I have a spell that can cancel the channeling time. I can use it once a day. What’s your supreme magic effect?”

“I can open a dimensional rift that can be used to trap people or hide allies for thirty minutes. Magus below magic core realm can’t escape from it. I need them to get close.”

Johan nodded. “Alright, my knight can lure them. After that, I will cast the spell to you. Then, we will gang up to fight the shaman and help—uh—the vampire.”

The woman knight smiled at Johan. “You have developed, Master.”

Eren looked at Johan with one eye closed. “More like hypocrite. I still remembered his phrase ‘we don’t tolerate evil, nor we cooperate with them’, but I guess we are the same in front of danger, eh.”

Everyone got silent. The woman knight pulled his shirt and lifted him. “Say it once more.”

“Let him go.” Johan folded his arms over his chest and grinned. “Would you rather be trapped here or go outside together? As if you contribute to our fight.”

Eren a spell. Vines grew from the ground and wrapped Johan’s waist. “Down there you are thick, just like your mouth. Here is my help to wrap it up. Don’t thank me.” He yawned and sat, leaning against the wooden wall.

They ignored Eren and proceeded to continue their plans.

The woman knight opened the gate and rushed to the goblin crowds. They immediately sensed someone was coming. At the sight of her, they hissed and pulled their weapons.

Brandishing her sword, she cut five goblins. She was stronger. However, she didn’t get cocky. She turned back and ran toward the gate.

Johan gave Peter a buff.

Peter’s body was enveloped with a glowing mist. He rushed forward and chanted a spell.

Peter put his hands on the ground. A black portal opened below the goblins’ feet and swallowed them. Johan, Peter, and the woman knight advanced to the shaman, giving Mircalla aid.

Mircalla frowned when she saw Johan. But, she couldn’t do anything to deal with him. The shaman was too strong.

As she clawed at his body, the shaman turned into mist. He reappeared again behind her and shot a dark beam to her back.

Mircalla knelt as she regenerated her wounds. The shaman combined Elder Doortrick and Lord Stargazer's specialty magic. Suddenly, a glowing mist enveloped her. She felt lighter.

“Only this time, vampire,” Johan shouted.

Mircalla’s crimson eyes glowed. Blood mana gathered in her legs. She leaped to the shaman before his body turned into mist again.

“Moonphase-Eight Form: Waning Crescent!”

She pierced his chest with her nails. Blood floated out of his chest and got absorbed by Mircalla’s blood mana. It kept going on until he got thinner. His body became skin and bone. He fell after letting out his last breath.

Mircalla trampled his head; it exploded and brain scattered everywhere. She turned back at Johan. She didn’t want to admit it, but she could defeat the last stage magic foundation realm magus because of his supportive buff.

However, it didn’t have anything to do with her hatred toward him. She leaped and stood before him instantly. She grabbed his neck and lifted him.

The woman knight pointed her sword at her. It was annoying. She threw Johan aside and leaped to the woman knight.

The woman knight didn’t have a chance to react. As she came back to her sense, a hand had penetrated her chest. “I—it’s a glorious death for me. All hail The Ancient Beast of Enlightenment and Knowledge.”

Mircalla pulled her heart out and threw it. As the woman knight fell, she caught her. She ducked her head to the hole in her chest and drunk her blood.

Ren had just arrived after rescuing Vanilla and Reymond. He was dumbfounded as he watched the scene. Everyone was silent.

Johan rubbed his neck and sighed as he watched his servant got that treatment. “Glorious death for you, Amanises.”

As Mircalla finished, she looked at Amanises’s face. The woman knight had the expression of serenity in the face of death. Her taste was gentle too.

Mircalla kissed her forehead and whispered. “I am sorry. I was on the verge of frenzy.”

She stood up and approached Johan. She pushed his face to the ground with her foot. “I spare you on her behalf this time.”

Eren looked at Mircalla in fear. Even though she was naked, had pink hair that reached her waist, and had a bombastic figure, he thought of her as a terrifying person. To think he had thought that she was kinder than his master.

Eren chanted a spell and wrapped Mircalla’s body with green vines.

After her body had been covered, Peter didn’t feel awkward anymore and approached her. He put his hand to the chest and bowed. “Elder, I have caught the remaining black goblins. Do you want to deal with them now?”

“Where are they?”

“I contain them inside a dimensional rift.”

“Oh, that’s the supreme grade spell of yours. I’ve heard of it. After I finish chanting spell, you can open the dimensional rift.”

Mircalla channeled blood mana in her hands and chanted, “Moonphase-Fourth Form: Waxing Gibbous!”

Peter opened the dimensional rift. Mircalla shot the red beam inside it. Then, he closed it again.

As he cast off the dimensional rift spell, the goblins inside it had vanished. Ashes scattered to the air.

Mircalla looked at them and sighed. “Allen didn’t survive.”

“You are wrong,” Eren said. “His undead minions are still here.”

“So we have to rescue him,” Mircalla replied.

Reymond patted Mircalla’s head. “Let me check him. Maybe he is trapped in that burrow.”

“I will accompany Mr. Evest,” Peter proposed. “Elder can focus to finish your quest.”

Mircalla frowned. “Wait, I have killed the shaman and the remaining black goblins. Our task should be completed!”

Reymond rubbed his chin. “Maybe some of them hide in the tent.”

“Moonphase-Sixth Form: Waning Gibbous!” Mircalla’s aura spread and surrounded the village. However, she didn’t find any goblin alive.

“I was sure all goblins gathered here to watch my fight. By the way, Allen is inside the shaman’s tent. I am glad that she is okay. Let’s go to him, Reymond.”

Mircalla grabbed Reymond’s wrist and pulled him. She could hear him chuckling. Her step halted when Reymond didn’t move a bit. She turned back.

Reymond smiled at her gently. Blood spurted from his mouth.

Mircalla caught him as he fell. She hugged him tightly. A sword of light penetrated his back. Johan looked down at them with a twisted smile.

Peter pulled out the magic gun and shot at Johan. At the same time, Ren swung his sword to his neck.

Johan’s body turned into mist and reappeared again a few meters back. Half of his face resembled that of the black goblin. He chanted something but stopped midways. He suddenly screamed in pain.

Johan rolled on the ground and his goblin face disappeared. He straightened his body and looked at the surroundings. He was confused about what happened.

Mircalla understood what was going on. Johan was possessed, but something happened to the goblin shaman and he came back to normal. However, it didn’t mean he could get away after he injured Reymond.

A rub to her cheek diverted her attention. Reymond smiled at her. “You have grown, Mircalla. How many years since we first met?”

“Don’t say anything, Reymond.” Mircalla looked at him. His face was older than the first time she met him. However, he was still the same cheerful person. He was always there for her.

She met him when he was seducing her foster mother on the street. She kicked his ass. The next day, he came to her home and seduced her foster mother there. She kicked him again.

He always visited them and even stayed in their house. Mircalla had accepted him as fatherly figure after staying with him. Their lives were peaceful.

One day, she was promoted as a countess for an unknown reason. Later, she learned that it was Reymond’s doing. He researched about her past. It was said the empire owed her big fortune in the past.

Life as a countess was difficult, but Reymond helped her managing everything. She became beloved by her citizens.

One day, the Church of Enlightenment heard of her. They came to her territory with Executioner that was led by young Johan Ashker. They slaughtered her citizens; killed her foster mom, and hung her head in the town hall.

She escaped with Reymond to the Alliance. She met with the president and he gave her the title of mayor.

Reymond was always there. Always there. There. For her.

Tears flowed out from her eyes. “Father, please be with me. Don’t go.” As she begged, Mircalla realized that Reymond had stopped breathing.

“Johan!!” Mircalla cried. “You always stole everything from me!” She put Reymond’s body gently and stood up. She dragged herself to walk toward Johan.

Suddenly, a message sounded in her mind. “Task is completed. Moving to the next stage.”

“No, no! At least, let me kill him first!”

Mircalla reached toward Johan, but her body had become translucent and vanished.
