When I wake up I was instantly bit by pain of my wounds. It was covered in bandages now, guess somebody already cured my arms.
I survey my surrounding and all I see was boxes of I think was fruits and vegetables. I'm not sure because they are different from the normal vegetables on Earth.
"Hello?!" I half yell because the wheels of think cart was noisy. I was fascinated because I never seen a true cart before. I only saw one on pictures and movies.
"Hello?" I said again because i think the one the one driving this cart didn't hear me.
I walk towards the front of cart because the one driving this cart have to be in front for the driver to see the road
When I reach the front of the cart I see was a man which I think was in his 40s. He didn't notice me yet so I call for him again
"Hello!!"
"Wahh" he was startled causing him to jump on his sit. When he recovered he looked at me. He really did look like a man in his 40s
"Hohh, young man it was just you. You scared me there. I nearly piss my pants there" the man said with relieved look on his face
"Sorry Mister" I said feeling guilty. I did not intend to scare the man or anything
" It's okay, how are you felling now anyway?" he asked clearly worried about my well being.
"I'm okay mister and thank you for letting me ride in you're cart" I sincerely thank him
" You're welcome child" the man said
I fell silent because I don't really know what to say next. As I was thinking what next to ask, the man was the one to talk first
"What you're name child and by the way my name was Malon" mister said and now his called Malon
"I'm Calwick mister Malon" I said, giving him my first name
"Ohh, that's a nice name but Calwick can I ask you why are you in the middle of the forest when I found you?" Mister Malon said inquiring how did I end up in a forest
Of course I cant possibly say to him that I came from another world. Because that should never be reveal
" I don't remember mister when i come to my senses i was already in the middle of the forest then suddenly a wolf attacked me" I said not saying how I truly end up in the forest
" You really don't remember?" He said
I just nod my head so that he will drop the subject
" That's right. Mister Malon, where is the person who saved me from the wolf. I want to thank him for saving my life." asking him having just remember the man who saved me from that wolf
"What man when I found you. You were the only one there with that crushed wolf" Mister Malon said clearly saying the truth
I looked at the forest on the side felling disappointed because I don't get to thank the man properly and got curious on who is that man.
"Oh okay, by the way Mister Malon what are also doing in the forest and where are we exactly?" I asked him digging for more the information.
Because in my years as an author and a reader of novels. I learned that when you are in a completely unfamiliar place. Information about that place is always vital.
"First Calwick you can drop the mister you can just call me uncle and to answer your question I was a gatherer. We are in the Forest of Lore" mister Malon said or now Uncle Malon.
"But Mist..uhm Uncle Malon what is a gatherer and can you tell me the name of the full place?" I asked him inquiring more about our place
" Well you really cant remember anything are you?" he asked more about my memories
I just nod my head. He just looked at me and smiled then continued on what he was saying
"A gatherer is a job where you gather materials and we are in the border land of Lupos Clan , Lore forest" Uncle Malon said with a smile on his face
Based on what he said, there were different jobs here in this world. Maybe there were many other kind of job here. Then there was a clan what are those? So I asked Uncle Malon
"Clan? What's that Uncle?"
He looked at me like he was so astonished on what I asked then his eyes widen like he remembered something
"Oh right you don't remember anything" he said
"At least I remember my name" I rebutted Uncle Malon and he just laugh.
After he laugh he said " A clan is a group of people with Regalo they are powerful people. The one leading them is called a clan master he is the sometimes most powerful member of the clan"
I stared at him for a good minute digesting what he said and thinking what he meant by Regalo. So I just asked him
"But Uncle Malon, what are Regalo?" by asking that he stared at me not believing in my question then his eyes widen like he remembered something important
" oh right you don't remember anything" he said again with righteous look on his face
I swear to tree why is he so forgetful is he a fish for him to forget like my "lost" memory. Maybe he was startled before because he forgot that I was in the back of his cart. Before I can tell him anything about his short term memory loss he continue on what he was saying.
"Calwick, Regalo is an ability the we awaken at some point of our life everyone has a Regalo. Some are useful while some are.. hmm how can I say it ahh.. the less useful one. For example some people have a regalo of fire while some have a regalo to make their nails longer"
After he said that to me. I again fell silent, after a couple of seconds I asked again
" So I can also awaken a regalo?" He looked at me then asked
"You mean, you did not yet awaken your regalo?" I just nod at him then he comforted me by saying:
" Yes Calwick everyone can awaken they're regalo"
I didn't say anything about me awakening a regalo. Because maybe I will never awaken mine.I doubt that because I'm not from this world
I don'enjoy apoil our talk so I just asked uncle on whats his regalo
" Mine, my Regalo was was Find" he informed me but I don't get it.
" Huh? But what does that do?"
