After Malon said those words he started walking to the forest on the side if the road.
Seeing that Malon was already walking, Calwick quickly get down the cart but he forgets that now he was back to being a child so he was not prepared for the height of the step causing him to fall on the ground
" ahhhouch!!" He yelled when he prop himself with his arms causing the wounds to reopen and bleed
When Malon heard the boy's yell he look only to see the boy with it's bandaged arms soak in his blood
He quickly run to the boy while blaming himself ' How can I forgot that the steps were to high for a child.
When he reach Calwick it was already sitting up, checking his wounded arms.
"Are you okay?" He said also checking the wound
Calwick looked " I'm fine I guess" he replied sarcastically with a pained look on his face
Malon looked at the kid " Sorry I should have known that the step was to high" apologized the man
But how can Calwick accept the apology if the one's at fault was him
"No you don't have to apologize, it was my fault I didn't look at the steps" he said declining the apology
"Let's go to the there a medicine kit there" He said and lifted the boy up
Before Calwick could react they were already at the back of cart.
When they reach the back Malon gently sit him inside. Malon shuffled through the cart before he found what he was looking for
Malon started treating his wounds. He started with gently remove the bandages that was covering the wound but no matter how gentle he tried to remove it Calwick still wince in pain when the bandage was being removed.
After it was removed the wound was washed by special water after it was clean the wound was quickly applied with a special medicine so the wound would heal faster. After that a new bandage was put to the patched up wound
During the process Malon was watching the boys reaction seeing that the boy behave during the process he ruffled the boys hair
" Your a brave boy you didn't cry during the process" He said as if his the father of the boy
"Of course, I'm a grown man you know" he said seriously
" Yes your a grown man now" Malon answered like he was talking to a kid.. Well technically Calwick was a kid
Calwick's face reddened because of what he heard ' Did I just got pacified like a kid' he thinks being ashamed for himself
He just look away at the man
Malon sees that the kid was so he just smiled and change their topic
" Do you still need the proof that you asked earlier?"
When Calwick heard that he immediately faced Malon
"Of course, I still don't believe that wolf was was the weakest creature in the Lore Forest" he seriously said.
Malon was amazed on this child persistence and just said "okay" and once again walks to the forest
But before he walk far he turns around " Hey big guy don't fall on your way down again " he teases the boy
Calwick was preparing to go down when he heard it and his face immediately reddens.
Alas what can he do but suffer silently and catch up to his Uncle before he enters the forest.
After ten minutes of walking inside the forest Calwick cant help but ask Malon
"Uncle where are we going?" He tiredly asked
Its not his fault that his stamina was getting drained. Because while walking he have to watch out for big roots and uneven ground
" To the proof you ask" Malon answers the boy
" But how are you sure that it was a proof I was looking" Calwick ask curiously
" Did you use your Regalo to find the proof" He asked again before Malon could answer
There's nothing Malon could do but answer the boy.
" Of course I'm sure , and yes i used my Regalo to find it"
" When did you use your Regalo" he asked again
"When I touched the ground earlier"
Calwick POV
I was going to ask Uncle another question when he suddenly signaled to stop
He looked at me then mouthed to look behind the bush in our front
What I saw shocked IT WAS A SMALL HEADED WOLF
But it did not notice us so I to go back 'Ix don't want to endanger my life again' walking back to our track before
But before I could go far uncle grabbed my neck and whisper to me" we will follow that wolf"
I was shocked in what I heard. Me going to follow that?
" No, let's go back I don't wanna endanger my life again" I whispered back
" We will follow that. Isn't this what you want"
I swallowed the words I was going to say because I'm the one who wanted this on the first place so all I can do was face my fear now
We followed the weak before the wolf found a rabbit. Uncle said we should go up the tree so we can have a better view on what is going to happen
I was baffled "Isn't it obvious that the wolf will eat the rabbit" I said like I already know the outcome
Uncle Malon just smirked at me and said " Just watch and learn big man"
" oh okay" I said. I was watching ckosely when uncle ask me
" Do you know why the small headed wolf was in the bottom of food chain here " He asked me
I don't know the answer so I shook my head
" Its in their name their stupid"
While uncle was saying that the wolf moved if slashed its claws and directed its special ability to the rabbit
I thought that the rabbit was done for when it suddenly vanished on its spot. The next thing I knew it already jump on the tree and bounce itself to the position of the wolf causing the wolf to be hit at the back.
The wolf howled in pain but still tried to fight rabbit but the same thing happened the wolf was suddenly hit by rabbit
The insides of the wolf was already coming out of its mouth but instead of retreating it still fight the rabbit. Showing the wolf's stupidity
With one last jump the the rabbit stepped on the head of the wolf causing the brain mater and blood to scatter on surrounding giving it a disgusting smell.
I was so shocked on what I just saw. My world view was ruined. Now that I have my proof I don't have the courage to live by my own now
I turned to uncle and he also looks at me
" Uncle where's OUR house. Let's go home" I shamelessly declared
