It's been about a month since I woke up in this world, and there is one thing that keeps sticking in my mind. My father, the stoic villain that kills the king and takes over the kingdom, is a total doting parent. He's been constantly by my side asking if there was anything he could do for me, prasing me for every little thing I do, and keeps putting on this goofy face like he's in total bliss when he stares at me. Honestly, it was a little creepy at first, but I seem to be getting used it now.

"Luna~ Papa has a surprise for you~" 'Papa' ran into the library where I was currently reading a wonderful novel about dragons and placed a box on my lap. "Now, now, don't make that face. You're gonna love this one, I promise~" Does he really have to drag out his sentences like that? It's getting annoying. Still, curiosity got the better of me when the box moved a little and a small thumping sound could be heard. Sighing as I felt his happy, expectant gaze on me once more, I opened the lid and peered inside.

A tiny black kitten was staring back at me with big purple eyes. It had to be the most beautiful cat I had ever seen, even it's soft meow was adorable. I thanked him over and over again as rubbed the silky fur on it's head. I could practically feel the happy vibes coming off of my father as he came over to rub my hair like I was doing to my cat.

"This is a special kitten, Luna, that Papa got just for you~"

"Really? How special, Father? I-I mean, Papa." Please stop giving me those hurt puppy dog eyes, it's oddly effective.

"This is a Black Gartende, a winged panther. It's parents were killed for their materials and this little guy was going to be sold on the black market. Luckily, Papa was able to capture all the bad guys and save all of the animals kept there."

"That's is amazing, Papa, but why is he special? Are Black Gartendes really rare?"

"Yes, so rare that most people believe them to be myth. You see, Gartendes are believed to be the messengers of the Gods and the black ones belong to the Moon Goddess, Lunafey. She, along with Solutos the Sun God, helped to create our world."

"Can I really have him then?"

"Of course! Even the king said to give him to you as a present since he couldn't come and visit when you woke up. Speaking of which-" I kept nodding to whatever he was saying as I focused my attention on the kitten in front of me. Tiny nubs near his shoulder blades could be felt as my fingers passed by. His purrs could be heard as he lay falling asleep on my lap. With such a calm personality he needs the perfect name.

"Yue."

⌈Meow⌋

"Looks like he already knows his name." Smiling, I looked up at my father and gave him a big smile.

"Yes! Thank you, Papa!" His face went bright red for some reason and started stuttering something about no boys when I tuned him out again. Now that I have a cute kitty, I need to make sure I have everything he needs. With that thought in mind, I headed out of the library in search of Baston, leaving my father behind.

Baston was able to help me set Yue's things up in my room and taught me when I should feed him and how much. He told me that the maids would take care of things like that, but I wanted to be a responsible pet owner since I never had a pet in my old life. Now that everything was done, I could waste the day away playing with Yue and being cured by his mofumofu*-ness. Ah~ fluffy animals were life itself~

"My Lady! Are you still not ready?" Mary had come in and started to drag me away to the closet. I had no idea what was going on, but I guess it had to be important since she's putting me into one of the finer dresses I own. Not that I can say much since my fashion sense only came out during the dress up games I used to on my phone.....I miss my phone. I wonder if any manga and fanfiction have updated since I came here.

"I know you may not remember them, but don't worry, Dear, your father has explained everything." Before I could ask who 'they' were, she rushed me off to the parlor room and opened the door. Walking in, I see my father and another man talking to each other over drinks while a younger boy stood up and came my way.

"Lunastella."

"Yes? Who might you be?" He stared at me for a bit with a weird look on his face.

"So you really don't remember, do you?"

'Obviously, dude, didn't Mary say that Papa explained it to you?'

Oblivious to my thoughts, he bowed his head and pulled me towards the sitting area of the parlor. As soon as Papa saw me, his face lit up and he pulled me into his arms. I guess this is where I'm going to be sitting for now.

"Luna, It's good to see you again. Sean has told me what has happened since you woke up. I am your Uncle, Silvester Byron. I married your father's sister, Sallie. This is your cousin, Gene, he wanted to come along today to see how you were doing." Gene nodded his head at me, but didn't say a word. Somehow, I could sense some hostility in his stare and wondered what the previous me ever did to him.

It didn't take long for Uncle Silvester to suggest us kids go play in the garden while he and my father talked about 'grown up' stuff. Papa couldn't be reasoned with until I told him that I wanted to spend sometime with my cousin. Is there anything I can do to make it where he doesn't cry every time I leave him alone?

Gene isn't much of a talker, it seems. All he's doing is watching me while I bask in the nature around me. Birds flew by and landed on my shoulders and random squirrels would run around me and play with each other. The animals on my estate are friendly, I just wish there were more animals with fur coming by to pet.

"Lunastella, do you remember anything about me? At all?" His voice startled me a bit since I was starting to forget he was even there.

"I'm sorry I don't, but were we close?" He made a snorting sound before explaining how much we hated each other. Apparently, I would always get him in trouble by lying when he wouldn't do or get something I wanted, and my father, being the doting idiot he is, believed me every time. Just how bad of a child was I? I'm surprised the maids aren't giving me hateful looks behind my back.

"If it helps, I'm sorry for how I treated you, even if I don't remember it. We don't have to be friends, but can we at least start over?" The looks he gave me was a bit condescending, but he sighed after a while and nodded his head.

"Might as well, Since I'm gonna take over the Prime Minister position from Dad in the future, I need to start making connections. Even if they are with people I can't stand." Prime Minister? Gene Byron, the future Prime Minister....Of course! He's one of the Prince's aids in the novel and a key point in taking down Lunastella and her father after they take over the kingdom. He's a bit awkward looking now, but he's gonna be a real ikemen in the future. With his silver hair and red eyes, he's gonna send most girls to the nurse's office with nosebleeds. For some reason he was really popular with the students in the novel even though he likes to look down on people.

'I don't want him to hate me like in the novel, but I really don't feel like dealing with him now that I know who he will be in the future.'

"Just know, Lunastella, that I don't buy this whole amnesia thing for a minute. But I'm willing to be somewhat friends with you until I figure out what you are up to."

"You can just call me Luna, Gene. I don't mind."

"Wha-!? How dare you call me in such a familiar way! But I suppose that since we're cousins and you don't remember anything, I shall permit you to do so."

'Didn't you just say that you didn't believe I had amnesia? And why are you blushing?'

Sighing, I looked up at the sky and ignored whatever he was going on about. My thoughts wandered over to Yue, who was sleeping on my bed the last time I saw him....I need some mofumofu therapy.
