Edrick had always kept track of things in his mind, but with the upgrade opportunities he had been granted, now was a good time to make a full and proper assessment of the many techniques and innate abilities he currently possessed. He might actually be reminded of a few things which had taken somewhat of a step back due to the sheer abundance of the things he had accumulated over time.

This only accounted for the techniques and innate abilities in his possession... The boons, bloodlines, the bone melding, the one battle art he owned, his physique, and passives were separate things each... With all of the different categories of 'abilities' listed out like this, Anoteros truly realised that this whole thing was incredibly messy.

The status window showing them off was very well-organised, separating techniques by the category they fitted in the most, for example. Nonetheless, it meant that there were many things to keep track of.

At least, the passives just did their thing in the background, but even then, it would be a shame to forget about certain passives or boons that might make some things more efficient.

‘Alright, let’s go through everything one by one. Start from the top, System’

Roger that. Here it goes:

Five-Legged Devil Goat Physique: This technique–Despite being classified as ‘Body Cultivation’–Mostly relies on ‘Dual Cultivation' to function. It allows the user to gain boons by sleeping with others. The boons can come from repeated encounters with a single individual or several individuals sharing a characteristic. Additionally, this technique enhances the user's sexual body, or in other words, boosts bedroom performance across the board. And of course, it also allows for the intake and usage of excess energy

This one would be a no-brainer to upgrade. It was a very clear way for Edrick to accumulate strength by just sleeping around. The only downside would be the way it plays a part in increasing the size of his club over time.

Anoteros did wonder just what an upgraded version would look like. Would it just boost the basic functions of the technique? Or would it add something completely new to it? It was hard to tell, but since the scion was planning on eventually getting his hands on a Five-Legged Devil Goat bloodline and turning the technique into a physique, he didn’t know if it really was the one that would need improvement.

It might be best to improve a technique that is good, but doesn’t have a clear path toward being further enhanced…

Encyclopedia Of Rending: This technique is part of the larger Pain Sutra. This technique focuses on targeting all the specific portions of the body and destroying them while inflicting maximum pain

Encyclopedia Of Self-Infliction: This technique is part of the larger Pain Sutra. This technique focuses on damaging and breaking all the specific portions of the user’s own body, allowing them to strengthen them and learn to endure greater amounts of pain

These two were literally meant to be together and were part of a larger whole. Upgrading one or the other did not seem like it would make much sense–Unless Edrick planned on gaining more system upgrades later on…

However, there was an issue with this concept.

These techniques are not eligible for an upgrade

‘Is it because there are just portions of the Pain Sutra? Or are they considered too advanced or refined already to be upgradable?’

These techniques have been constantly improved upon for several centuries, and possibly longer. I do not have the authorisation to upgrade or modify them

‘I see… Let’s keep going then’

Guardian Hippopotamus Physique: A body cultivation technique found amidst the many others inside the Myriad-Arm Sect’s library. This technique is considered a powerful, but basic technique that focuses on reinforcing skin and flesh, on top of better adapting them to underwater manoeuvring

This technique itself wasn’t much, but if turned into a physique, it had the potential to really bring out the full benefits of a Guardian Hippopotamus. This could be great, as while the beast itself wasn’t much to speak of overall, it was a greatly resilient creature that stomped its way through its environment by simply being big and tough enough that nothing else around wanted to mess with it.

It may be simplistic, but it was a solid technique… Thinking about it, Edrick figured that techniques based on beasts and such would probably be upgraded by attaching the name of a notable member of the species to the technique.

In any case, Edrick has similar plans with this one as he did with Five-Legged Devil Goat Physique…

True Champion Of Eltysia: Considered to belong to ‘All-Cultivation’. This technique is the result of combining several other techniques into a singular whole, offering an improved variant of each of those techniques. It allows for overall improvement across the whole board, and also improves the user’s bond with the realm of Eltysia

Due to being made of several techniques, it would need several of those upgrade voucher thingys I gave you–And since I created it, I can tell you without problem that it can not be upgraded much further. To improve the technique, it would be best to improve the affiliated bloodline, as they work closely together

‘Makes sense, I suppose. By the way, I never asked… But it says that it makes improvements across the whole board. Does this mean that it-’

Yes, it makes it get bigger

‘It’s no wonder that it feels like my wives are constantly getting tighter. I have two techniques actively making my damned cock longer and girthier all the time. If this goes on, I’ll become a freaking tripod… Hidden Snake is nice, but what about a technique that allows me to better control my dick size at will?’

Being able to hide it in his pants was great. However, if whenever he took off his clothes, he had his third leg dragging against the ground or knocking furniture over, it would be a bit annoying.

Turns out, there is definitely such a thing as ‘too big’.

Edrick sighed.

‘Alright, go on’

Longbowman: A basic weapon cultivation technique, which allows its user to perfect their skill with a longbow. Also allows the strength of the user to be shared over to the weapon, allowing the usage of longbows without shattering them with excessive strength

Crack Of Punishment: A weapon cultivating technique from the Pain Sutra. Allows the user’s whip to perform illogical movements, heightens the pain caused by the strikes, and is further reinforced by the user’s Agonism. Also allows the strength of the user to be shared over to the weapon

Destreza: A weapon cultivation technique encompassing the rapier, dagger, and cloak. This technique allows for the perfection of skill relating to this particular fighting, allows the strength of the user to be shared over to the weapon, and allows for manipulations of the cloak’s characteristics

Oni Smash: A basic weapon cultivation technique that allows the weapon to share its wielder’s strength, and contains a special skill that shatters the ground toward a target

Twisted Weapon Encyclopedia: The corrupted variant of Weapon Encyclopedia. This technique encompasses all basic weapon cultivation techniques, usual capabilities, and also dominates other techniques of the same type, taking over their functions. It allows its user to not have to worry about truly cultivating any other weapon cultivation technique ever again–While breaking all limitations

‘Certainly a grand description… Can you upgrade it, or not, System?’

Being that it is already a modified version of an incredibly powerful technique, I am afraid that it is impossible. It is already perfect in what it sets out to do, and since you have the Chen bloodline coursing through your veins, the technique will already somewhat bend to your needs over time

‘I see, it certainly helps to make a choice when some of the techniques I practise aren’t even options… Alright, seems like we're getting to other recent additions, now…’
