Gathering herself after her temporary breakdown, Maven picked herself up off the floor and mustered her courage to face the reality - she was now, kind of, a demigoddess.

Biting her thumb in frustration as she psyched herself up, Maven continued thinking to herself.

Okay, I can deal with that. I can definitely handle the whole ‘demigod’ thing. I just need to keep that a secret and never show off any of weirdness or abnormal power. Totally easy. Then, I just need to remove the corruption of an entire country, change how demon’s are perceived by the entire world, and protect the world from aliens or godly invaders. I can totally do all that while keeping my identity secret. Yep, totally! I swear, once all this is over, I will definitely, definitely retire to the countryside and live a quiet life as a normal girl!

Feeling much better after her internal monologue, having decided on a very reasonable (lol) goal for the future, Maven turned to the goddesses and said, “Okay! I’m ready, let’s do this!”

Kannon, smiling a bit awkwardly after sensing that Maven thoughts had, perhaps, become a bit crooked from all the stress. Kannon responded with a halting voice, “S-Sure. I-I’m glad to see you motivated. I believe in you Maven!”

Tired of being left out of the conversation, Henna jumped in at this point by saying, “Just some quick points before we send you off to be reincarnated down on Avalon…”

Maven shrunk in on herself and gulped nervously, but quickly straightened her shoulders in confidence after remembering her foolproof plan.

Grinning naughtily at Maven, “So, once you leave the Divine Realm you will officially begin your reincarnation. The plan is to have you begin life anew as the first daughter of a Ducal house in the human nation - the house of Daegal. The Lady of the house, Farissa, conveniently just conceived and a soul has yet to take root in the new life. I shall guide your soul on its journey through Avalon’s circle of reincarnation and the blessing Kannon gave you will ensure that you are born healthily.”

A bit hesitant at having to start her new life from the very beginning of the starting line, Maven asked Henna, “Do you really have to start me off as a child in the womb? I really don’t want to begin my awesome new life in a magical world as a baby.”

Henna laughed at Maven’s misgivings, “Fufufu, no need to worry my dear. Though you will be experiencing your life from the very beginning, your memory and power will remain dormant until your body is mature enough to handle the burden.” Mouth curling into a mocking smile, Henna continued, “You certainly won’t have to experience the delicious embarrassment of your diaper period. No, that joy will belong to us alone. I promise not to laugh… too much.”

Shaking her head in denial at the idea of the goddesses watching her infant self and laughing at her foolishness, Maven decided it was safest for her mental health to just not think about it. She hurriedly tried to urge Henna onward, “M-Moving on… Is there anything else I need to know before I go down there?”

Kannon, taking pity on her, took over the conversation from there, “There won’t be much for you to do for several years once you’re reborn. I’d recommend you practice magic, acclimate yourself to your divine spark and the plentiful mana available on Avalon. You’ll be in a unique position, with the memories and mental fortitude of an adult, so you should be able to make the most of the growth potential of a child."

"I took a peek at the stories and games of your old world, but there isn’t anything so strict and limiting as a skill system here. As long as you have the proper attribute, expend the minimum amount of power, and can imagine what you want - anything is possible. You’re potential is limitless, so I recommend you experiment yourself. I can help you with the light and life attributes and Henna, if she can hold herself back from teasing you, should be able to help you learn the basics of dark and death - but neither of us know anything about the new element created from blending the two, it’s unique to you alone.”
