Today is a really busy day for Xu Wei. There is a popular author with several best-selling books that has really caught her eye. In order to win this man, Xu Wei spent a lot of time and even took full responsibility for publishing.

 

After working for half a day today, she went out to discuss with the publishing company in the afternoon. By coincidence, the publishing house picked was Su Jing’s company. Su Jing was assigned as the representative and chose a low-key and elegant cafe as a meeting place. The lively pianist played Beethoven’s G minor. Xu Wei has waited a while because Su Jing was late.

 

Xu Wei leaned back slightly, her eyes were lazy, and knew she was deliberately humiliated. "Does your company want to publish my book? I've waited forty minutes for you." Su Jing's face was calm as a  desolate lake, and outsiders always feel very cold when seeing her. As if she’s never been anxious her whole life. 

 

Xu Wei hates her indifferent and lofty attitude. Sometimes, Su Jing makes mistakes but people always turn a blind eye and make excuses for her. This person who can never be better than her has been a thorn in her heart for many years, which is really suffocating.

 

Su Jing sat down gracefully then offered a sorry with an apologetic tone. Xu Wei sneered, "I'm leaving. The time we agreed to has long passed."

 

Other things like her rift with Su Jing, she can be indifferent, but things at work can never be sloppy.  Xu Wei stood up to leave, making Su Jing  anxious. After that, Xu Wei was held up, "I know I'm late, but can you please be understanding, I'm already in a hurry when I knew I was late."

 

Apologizing to someone you hate, it's not as easy as you think, but Xu Wei liked Su Jing's deflated appearance, she lazily flicked away Su Jing's hand, "I'll schedule an appointment tomorrow, I'm off work at this point."

 

By letting go of Xu Wei this time due to her tardiness her job will surely get messed up, and the editor-in-chief will scold her to death. Su Jing was now really anxious, her cold-face unshowing the panic brewing inside.

 

Xu Wei's decision is firm, and she hates her very much. She stood up then grabbed her things. Xu Wei ignored Su Jing who had been following her then called Yu Shizhou out of the house and asked him to come pick her up. Although they’re a fake couple, Xu Wei has no shame in calling on Shizhou as if he’s her chauffeur. Yu Shizhou is also strange, he is always on call which creates the illusion that they are in love with each other.

 

Su Jing gently pursed her lips and followed Xu Wei like a little daughter-in-law, her face was full of grievance. To others it painted Xu Wei a big bully, she was used to such looks, but it still stings. A script that remains unchanged for ten years.

 

Xu Wei was tired, and her face showed impatience. She turned and swatted Su Jing’s hand, disgusted, "Don't give me that look, as if I'm bullying you today? Am I the one who’s not being professional?"

 

Su Jing stumbled a step back. She didn't have time to refute anything, when she bumped into a generous embrace. Wan Lijue's sword eyebrows frowned slightly, he saw Xu Wei bullying Su Jing and accused her with a deep tone, "What are you doing? Xu Wei, is bullying Jing Jing for so many years not enough? "

 

    Xu Wei's eyes widened, but her explanations were always disdainful to others. She always thought that people who believed her would understand her, she choked back, "I bullied her, how? If you want to argue, I can't do it."

 

    Wan Lijue took Su Jing into his arms, and he was very protective of her, and his thin lips were tightly pursed. "I’ve respected your parents’ sentiments and you as their daughter. Don’t blame me for not giving you face.” [T/N: give respect]

Xu Wei stared at Wan Lijue indignantly, as if a gap in her heart was forcefully torn. As the cold wind blew her body trembled, as if frozen numb, a pair of strong arms hugged her from behind.  A deep voice came out next to her ear, "Wan Lijue, watch what you say. Let the ladies settle their problems between themselves.”

 

 He continued, “Xu Wei has me. Your worries are not needed. It's not just you who can turn your face." Xu Wei turned around pushing away from Shizhou, out in his embrace, her eyes turned red, "There’s nothing for you to butt in, what made you say that?"

 

    As soon as Xu Wei's words fell, Yu Shizhou's face sank a bit, there was some astringent pain in the depths of his eyes, but he was as proud as her, hiding it deep so no one could see his insecurities. Su Jing was a little bit distressed by Shi Zhou's silence, she was his childhood friend. She said to Xu Wei: "Ah Zhou is just helping you, he is very reliable, Xu Wei, don't be unreasonable."

 

Wan Lijue was suddenly uncomfortable with Su Jing’s words then he pulled her back, "Don't mix in with their business."

    Xu Wei didn't feel bothered with Su Jing’s entanglement at this moment . She turned around and ready  to leave, but Su Jing pulled her back again, "I’ll apologize again. The reason I was late was because I met an old lady who fell down by the road."

 

    Xu Wei, who was unhappy and not in a good mood, interrupted her: "You are kind enough to help, if you ended up being little late, fine but you were late for so long it’s almost an hour."

 

    She just approximated, Su Jing looked distressed, but she was right. Xu Wei felt that Su Jing was a single-celled creature. Can she be any more dense? Su Jing is just a simpleton. Sure enough, she was a pure and unpretentious silly white darling.

 

Xu Wei ignored the three then went ahead and found Yu Shizhou's car on her own. He took a while to show up. When she saw his face without disregard for the happenings, she was irritated and smiled, "Why would you take my side? Won’t you say a few more words, someone was wronged, I bullied her just now."

 

    He turned his face, his expression showed no anger, a pair of dark eyes were dim, the delicate facial features ,really handsome, even with the face of the iceberg, there’s just that magnetic attraction. At that moment, his eyes are a bit gloomy. If his fans knew he was distressed, they'll die of anger.

 Xu Wei just realized that she feels a little guilty in her heart. Yu Shizhou married her unreservedly and treated her well at home. He never had opposed nor rejoiced. She just argued with Su Jing and Wan Lijue yet she snapped at him.

 

She knows she’s being impartial, nonetheless if he married the person he likes, it must be blissful by now. She got frustrated with her actions upon realizing this, she is very vexed, thus she started contemplating.

 

 

He knew Wan Lijue was liked by her, seeing her frozen when Su Jing was protected by Wan Lijue, he couldn’t help but comfort her. Yu Shizhou is a silent iceberg in front of others, but when it comes to his wife, he has an unexpected good temper that makes her more and more unscrupulous.

 

    Xu Wei was lost in her own thoughts, staring at the car’s windshield in a daze, until she heard him say, "What happened between you and Su Jing?" When he arrived, he only saw Xu Wei brushing off Su Jing, he didn’t know the whole story. People would think Xu Wei bullied Su Jing, but he knew it was not the case.

 

Unexpectedly, he asked for her side, compared to Wan Lijue who only believed what he saw then immediately accused her of bullying Su Jing. Yu Shizhou was Su Jing's childhood sweetheart. Xu Wei never thought he would ask her side of the story.

 

She was never good at explaining. Yu Shizhou asked, but she didn’t know how to answer. Xu Wei froze for a few seconds then awkwardly said, "I swatted her off is a fact, scolding her is also a fact, whatever happened before, Li Jue did not bother to ask "

    Yu Shizhou tasted Xu Wei's tone in his heart, gently pressed his lips, his eyebrows were furrowed then broke the silence, "I believe you." Xu Wei looked back at him, dazed. A glance outside, the sun sets early in summer, while the inside of the car was shining brightly with neons flashing by.

 

    The multi-colored colors can't shine into his deep and profound eyes. His refinement and understanding made her feel emotional. In fact, Shizhou is better than Wan Lijue. Yu Shizhou is akin to the sky of wilderness that is unreachable or the desolate moon that is cold and mysterious. While Wan Lijue is like the morning, a sunshine that is warm and easy to get close to.

 

She didn’t understand how Su Jing captured Wan Lijue with her icy attitude. Now she understands that Wan Lijue is that bit of fireworks in the sky, giving the feeling of warmth.

 

    Such as Yu Shizhou, he exudes an atmosphere that can only be viewed from a distance and not obscure. It is no wonder that in his school, there are many girls who are close to him in class every day, but only few had the courage to confess.

 

And this unattainable man said in a low magnetic voice,'I believe you.' Xu Wei was stunned and felt shy. She patted her warm face and coughed a few times, then continued on why she was in conflict with Su Jing.

 

    The car was quiet for a few minutes, and Xu Wei couldn't figure out what Shi Zhou was thinking, but his following words prick her bubble, "She is disorganized, you’ll have to be patient with her."

 

    He and Su Jing have known each other for more than ten years. She is actually a helpless and simple-minded girl. She often can't tell the difference between the primary and the secondary. He often cleans up the mess for her, but to say that Su Jing has a wicked heart, that's not true. Su Jing is almost like his family.

 

What he didn’t know is that his words provoked Xu Wei. She was immediately livid and her voice set off, "Tolerate? This is a cooperation between our two companies. She forgot professionalism. Be sympathetic? Why do I have to bear with her? She snatched the person I’ve liked for years, I didn’t do anything to her and why do I have to take care of her?”

 

    Yu Shizhou originally meant to keep her from being angry, merely explaining Su Jing’s character, but Xu Wei didn’t get his point when he came out of his meaning, she also said the following, and Yu Shizhou's heart was pierced again.

[T/N: Hey guys! I know some of you are already looking forward to the smut mehehe. But currently were still at the 2nd chapter where the characters are introduced.

This is the original title of this chapter, 大型吃醋火葬场  which translates to Large jealous crematorium, idk it doesn't make sense to me but I changed it to 'Crematorium for the Colossal Jealousy', because it sounded better, right? (come on, agree with me)

Anyway, a crematorium is a burning place for the dead, where they cremate and make ashes out of your body. And since this chapter's end part is talking about our baby boi's pain and jealousy huhuhu  He must've felt it was better to be burned to in a crematorium to accommodate his LARGE jealousy or was it his jealousy that he wants to be burned? or why not that Su Jing and Wan Li Jie be thrown in that crematorium and be burned they better!

I've read some reviews on NU about this novel and I couldn't agree more, this novel is one of those rare smuts without the "over bearing CEO" "doormat MC" etc. And yes, I'm editing this straight from MTL so some or even most sentences are weird. Since I edit it, sentence by sentence, I might not consider if it's grammatically right, more like I'm basing it if it sounded right, right? hahah English is my second language so please don't judge me too hard for destroying the novel, I'm translating this for guilty pleasure and just sharing it to other smut-warriors like me huhu 

Good news, next chapter will finally be the start of smut festival huhu finally. please don't judge my editing skills though, I don't want to be burned in the crematorium if you guys won't like my rewriting of the hot scenes, I will do my best, this I promise.  also,
