With this batch of elders, the second batch that had come to see the situation with the former Divine Dragon Society and show their loyalty, everyone felt happy. These visiting elders had their old illnesses checked by the skilled Demi-god 10th realm practitioners left by Xing, as well as getting resources from the treasury of the Divine Fox Society to cure them. Unfortunately they couldn’t benefit and train in Xing’s realm; Xing hadn’t discovered the ability to leave portals to her hidden realm in Xiaoluxing.
During the brief time Xing stayed in the Divine Fox Society, Xing decided against her previous decision, and directly allowed the Divine Fox Society members to become Demi-god 10th realm. Unfortunately those of lower realms couldn’t directly ascend, outside of the Golden Core to Primordial Spirit, due to making sure not to trigger the heavenly tribulation. The outside world after all knows that the Divine Dragon Society got attacked, so they wanted to use that information to their advantage, luring old enemies and beating them into submission.
Qidao Nanyue smiled. Using her enhanced detection skills, she could sense that people with hostile intent were indeed heading to crash this banquet. Seeing as they’re still far out, she devised a plan. She suggested to Bai Mingwu to have all Demi-god 10th realms hide their realms to Golden Core. That way, their enemies would think that what remained of the Divine Dragon Society were the dregs, and there already are people who came before celebrating their victory. To reinforce this further, the newly recreated Supreme Heaven Fox Killing Array, upgraded from the previous offensive array, and the defensive array should be deactivated. A quintessential decoy tactic, using the enemy’s own greed and confidence to lure them to a trap. Quickly they informed the visiting elders to play along as well. Now the stage was set to lure them and…”gently convince” them to join the Divine Fox Society.

Pei Yangyi was confident. As a Demi-god 7th realm, he led the coalition of Demi-gods, Primordial Spirits, and Golden Cores to beat the corpse of the Divine Fox Society. Numbering in the ten thousands, they had gathered the great forces of a coalition of three major players; the Supreme Heaven sect, the Yangyi clan, and the Divine Tree sect, to thoroughly wipe out their shared enemy and loot the corpse.
Being the strongest, he flew in the lead in front of the flying ships as they moved into detection range of Pei Yangyi.
“As expected!” Pei Yangyi announced, spreading his voice through sound transmission. “The Divine Dragon Society is done! There’s some weak Demi-god trash, and even trashier Golden Cores left! It’s almost embarrassing! Everyone! We march to glory!”
Roars spread around the flying ships, booming over the land. Soon will be the true death day of the Divine Dragon Society!
…And soon, he, as Patriarch of the Li family, will claim the spoils and ascend to a higher realm!
As soon as he was in range, Pei Yangyi released his immense pressure to announce his pressure.
“Fools! You shame the world by your mere presence!” He shouted, spreading his voice through sound transmission. “The Divine Dragon Society is dead! Submit now, or be wiped out like the stain of Xiaoluxing that you are!”

Visiting elder Mo Xiangwei inwardly chuckled as he and the other visiting elders took stances of defiance. They were hastily told what to do. Despite that, they were executing it well; outwardly showing defiance to lure the enemy closer. Watching the acting of the people of the Divine Fox Society feigning fear, he had to control a laugh.
These fools are so dead…wait, no… Subjugated! They don’t know they’ve hit a hard iron plate yet! Don’t they find it suspicious yet that the buildings are perfectly fine?
“You!” Mo Xiangwei shouted. “Who the hell are you?!”
“Me?” The man leading the flotilla of flying ships, and the force of cultivators that are spreading from the flying ships, confidently scoffed. “I am Pei Yangyi, and today, choose! Submit, or today will be your death day!”
Actually, today will be the anniversary of when your ass will be handed to you.

Pei Yangyi readied to release a technique. Trash like these weaker Demi-gods should be dealt with swiftly! As the strongest, it’s his obligation to give these fools a swift death! “You sure about that~?” One of the Golden Cores spoke, their voice booming. Their voice was melodious, however it contained great power, far beyond what a mere Golden Core could release. Pei Yangyi looked at this female Golden Core, who suddenly seemed like they were alone. Confused, he looked around, only to see they were surrounded by Golden Cores!
HOW?! Suddenly he sensed something was wrong. Space was locked around by a hidden expert, so any spatial movement would be impossible! What’s more, mere Golden Cores are inable of spatial movement! So how did they evade his detection and sneak up to surround them?!
“Well… The man says to show ourselves. You heard him; we must show our guests courtesy~.”
Suddenly, the Golden Core practitioner’s powers began to explosively grow. They swiftly passed what a Primordial Spirit could produce, and straight into Demi-god realm! What’s more, their power began to surge so much that it put pressure on him.
Impossible!! Beads of sweat began to fall down Pei Yangyi’s brow. This definitely was wrong! What’s worse; their power continued to grow! When it was explosively oppressive, only then he realized…he was fucked. He was royally fucked.
Suddenly, he felt a powerful formation array activate. Surrounding everyone were illusionary foxes, white, and full of power. Each one contained even more power than him, and he saw everyone around him was circled by at least two of the said foxes. There was no killing intent in the array, but he could tell what was the intent of this move.
…Your life and death are in our hands. If we wanted to kill you, it’s easy…is it?
Pei Yangyi gulped. He then spoke up. “Esteemed…elder…” It felt awkward, as this person with great power looked like there were a young adult. “May I ask that you show magnanimity?"
“Magnanimity, is it~?” The woman spoke with her alluring voice. “You crashed our party and you want to ask for magnanimity~? Perhaps you think we were easy~?”
“N-no!”
“Oh come on~. It’s plain to see~. Well…depending on your performance, perhaps we could arrange something. Have your leaders come here~. Let’s talk~.”
Pei Yangyi sighed, but inwardly cursed himself. He brought the majority of his clan, so it was plain to him…if they got wiped out, there would be no recovering from this. He HAD to make sure everyone came back alive. Perhaps sweet talk a way to screw over the sects and make sure his clan comes out on top.
Why oh why did I think the Divine Dragon Society was easy prey?! This was clearly them playing the pig to eat the tiger! FUCK!!
Bravo~ Very entertaining. I've been enjoying this story very much. I also appreciate the explanations in earlier chapters about how cultivation works. I had helped me better understand the content and thus better enjoy the story as a whole then many other similar stories. (Been meaning to share that appreciation with you in a comment for a while now. Felt like it was time.) You have earned a loyal reader for the Divine Fox Society and their Master Xing, who is eagerly anticipating what is to come.
It's been something that was a pet peeve of mine with xianxia, where they talk about cultivatuon and the stages, but don't actually explain them. Ruined immersion, that, for me. So I made sure to make it clear here.
