Maroon.

I'm sorry book, for tearing out one of your
pages. it's just that last night, when i
realized what i wrote in the corner there,
i couldn't bear knowing that it's written
there in plain sight.

that, for your information, was something that
would always play through my head. something
my fantasy self would be able to say.

Well, if it was something i wanted to say, then
it should only be said. it shouldn't be written,
especially if it can't be said.

The smudges all elsewhere were also implications
of the word. I tried to get rid of them,
but they were too distinct until i added
water and rubbed.

I tried to make it artistic.

It's really what you do when you make a
mistake. At least, there's this thing about
artists, in the traditional medium, if you
make a mistake, you cover it up and/or
make it pretty.

so, i guess, you get to keep a
sample of my art in here.
