Matcha [Translator][Kawaii Daikon Big Boss] is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea. She was planted an unknown number of years ago by an estranged coffee-loving Chinese farmer who ventured to Oklahoma (on a quest to find the best Americano coffee) but accidentally spilled his taxi driver’s tea on the ground. Oddly enough, the puddle managed to sprout into a small magic tea shrub months later.

Despite being a coffee addict, the farmer really liked this tea shrub, and decided to read how-to-get-rich-quick novels beside it every day. The tea shrub was very happy and thus learned Chinese. But one day the farmer decided the tea shrub had grown enough, so he uprooted, chopped up, and processed it into fine green tea powder. Then he sold it to Starbucks for lots of money.

While Starbucks intended to research this magical compound, it got mixed up with a shipment of regular matcha, and ended up in the neighborhood Starbuck’s cafe. A very sleep-deprived medical student happened to order a Green Tea Frappuccino (half sugar, extra matcha) in the wee hours of the night. When she tasted it, she exclaimed: “Eureka! This is it! My username should be Matcha!” And then she fell asleep on the spot instead of studying for her exam.

And thus Matcha was born. The End.
