CHAPTER 76: STOCKPILE OVERLOAD

DANIELLE KEINE

The moment Senor Alphonse’s Elemental Dragon and the enemy Yamato Dragon flew up in the skies, I was left with the two dragons and two dragon knights I’ll be dealing with. In front of me are my enemies, which are Obsidian Dragon and its dragon knight Maxi, and the other is a Thunderbuzz Dragon and its dragon knight Abel.

“Are you sure you’re going to take both of us at once?” The proud blonde skinny girl Maxi said in an arrogant tone and a boastful smile. “We can take turns in beating you up if you wanted.”

“That’s not necessary, mademoiselle.” I made a sassy laugh. “You can all come to me if you wanted.”

“You’ve said it. Don’t beg for mercy after this!”

The Elysian dragon knight Abel immediately commanded his Thunderbuzz Dragon to soar up in the air. The noise of its bee-like wings mixed with the zapping sound of electricity that coats the whole dragon’s body made it unbearable to hear.

That soaring up of the Thunderbuzz Dragon is a distraction. The first attack is intended from the Obsidian Dragon, which opened up its wings and flapped towards our direction. Hundreds of crystal shards flew towards us with a raging speed of a bullet.

“Nath! Block!” I commanded out loud. “Stockpile Buff: Arms 300%!”

My Muscleflex Dragon’s biceps and triceps became three times wider and bigger than before, and each of his muscular arms became coated with black metal. With such humongous arms, he used it to cover us from the storming crystal shards.

“You have to try harder than that!” The enemy dragon knight Abel shouted as he transferred magical electricity towards his black-and-yellow bee dragon. “Thunder Drill!”

As soon as the magic’s name was shout, the Thunderbuzz Dragon surged towards us with its bee-stinger-like tail in front. Coated with whirling golden electricity, it clashed towards my Muscleflex Dragon’s iron muscle shield. The electric current flowed and spread throughout my muscular dragon’s body, and eventually me, which rendered us electrocuted for a short amount of time.

“Guh!” I cried out loud.

When my dragon heard my short but painful cry, he immediately jumped back to gain a distance. The snowy ground produced white smoke as we dashed away from the enemy. Every inch of our skin produced thin smoke, signaling that our cells suffered from minor burns.

“Are you okay, Nielle?” My Muscleflex Dragon asked me through telepathy.

“Oui. I’m okay, Nath.” I scoffed. “It looks like we have to take these guys seriously. Fighting two versus one puts us to a great disadvantage since they are synchronizing their attacks.”

“So what should we do?” My dragon said.

“We’ll beat them quickly. Nath, let’s defeat them with one punch.” I tapped my dragon’s head and poured my magical energy on him. “Stockpile Buff: 500%!”

My Muscleflex Dragon’s muscle fibers stacked up to five times its size and thickness, making it the most macho dragon in existence. The metallic black muscle fibers ate my dragon’s skin and now he’s too bulky to move. Enhancing my dragon’s muscle to this extent makes it hellishly hard to do simple movements, but this is the only way we can deliver a deadly blow in just one punch.

“Thunder Storm!” Abel commanded his Thunderbuzz Dragon to flap its wings, and several streaks of electricity showered upon us.

“Crystal Spear!” Maxi commanded her Obsidian Dragon to charge up a crystal ball on its mouth, and when the dragon unleashed the orb, it immediately reshaped itself into a lance that is rushing towards us.

With this bulky and heavy body, my Muscleflex Dragon won’t be able to evade. We can block the attack, but the electricity of the Thunderbuzz Dragon will still penetrate our defenses. There must be a way to avoid the attack head-on!

I looked at the ground and saw that my dragon is standing on a layer of cracked ice. Below it is icy rocks that look like it’s not durable enough to sustain hundreds of tons of weight. I smiled, now knowing how to deal with the combination attacks.

“Stockpile Buff: 2500%!”

Multiplying the muscles of my Muscleflex Dragon makes him completely immobile. Twenty-five times of his muscle are no longer combat effective, as my dragon won’t be able to move at all. I don’t use it in battles because it’s completely impractical, but this is the rare case where I needed it.

More muscles mean more weight, so the ice we’re standing immediately shattered as it could no longer support my dragon that is weighing hundreds of tons. The electric tornado and the crystal lance hit nothing in the air as me and my Muscleflex Dragon go underground. There is a deep hole that is the result of my dragon getting overweight.

“Where are they!?” Abel asked as he looked at the hole we made.

When the Thunderbuzz Dragon peeked directly at the hole, it was our signal to fight back. With my whisper, I changed the size of my dragon’s muscle once again. “Stockpile Buff Return to 100%”

With my Muscleflex Dragon’s size back to its normal, I commanded him to jump as high up in the hole. We rocketed outwards, aiming at the Thunderbuzz Dragon peeping up in the air.

“What the-!!!” Abel cried. “Shit!”

Sadly, because of the enemy’s great reflexes, the Thunderbuzz Dragon managed to evade my launching Muscleflex Dragon by sliding in midair. As I thought, these kinds of dragons are great in-air maneuvers.

“Ha! Missed!” Abel laughed out loud.

“I’m not aiming at you, Senor. I’m aiming at Mademoiselle!” I smiled back. Then, I poured my magic to my dragon as I multiply his strength, weight, and impact. “Stockpile Buff 5000%”

My Muscleflex Dragon’s size became absurd as it reached fifty times more muscles. His steel muscle fibers covered my dragon until he’s just a giant yarn ball made of iron! With such multiple buffs, we can destroy the enemy in one punch!

“W-Wait!” The dragon knight Maxi cried as she was in a panic. She never saw that we intended to land on her and her Obsidian Dragon, so they caught our crash head-on. “Kyaaaaah!”

“Grrraaaaaaaahhh!!!” My Muscleflex Dragon made a single punch straight to the enemy dragon, and that made the enemy’s crystal scales shatter into countless glittering particles. The force of the punch, the impact, and the weight are so powerful that the Obsidian Dragon and its poor knight passed through the center of the mountains, making a tunnel on each of it.

Defeated, the Obsidian Dragon turned back into its humanoid form, and the dragon knight Maxi is laying flat on the ice with blood all over her white skinny body. I don’t know if she’s unconscious or dead, but I don’t have the time to worry about them. The fight is not over, as there is still one left!

“Darn it! Maxi!” Abel cried out loud. “Damn Alterran! You’ll pay for this!”

Abel and his Thunderbuzz Dragon hovered around to look where we landed. Sadly, they only found my Muscleflex Dragon on the ground, which is near the defeated Elysian dragon knight. The Thunderbuzz Dragon charged an electro-ball on its mouth, aiming at my Muscleflex Dragon, but then they hesitated to attack. Abel must have noticed that something is not right.

“It’s just the dragon there!” Abel cried. “Where is the knight!?”

“I’m right here, senor.” I proclaimed out loud.

When the Elysian dragon knight turned to me, he saw me levitating up in the air. I’m actually using my fan’s wind force magic to keep me floating in this atmosphere. Little did the knight knew that I have left my Muscleflex Dragon just before my Muscleflex Dragon delivered its one-hit attack against the Obsidian Dragon.

“Stockpile Buff One Million,” I whispered. At that moment, my right arm was filled with muscular energy as it turned dark metal. All the muscles in my arms are so compressed that even if there are ten thousand more muscles inside, it won’t affect my mobility.

“What the hell!?” Abel cried. “Thunderstrike Swift!”

The Thunderbuzz Dragon was about to charge at me with its electrifying barrier in front when I made my move. With a single flap of my fan, an extremely powerful gust of wind blasted that blew the dragon away. Actually, such a wind tsunami was so powerful that it cleaned one mountain out of its snow.

“Graaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!”

The enemy dragon and knight cried as they were blown away by the wind. They crashed and rolled mountain to mountain until they hit a hard surface, rendering them both unconscious. And thus, my battle against the Elysian dragon knights has ended.

I landed on my Muscleflex Dragon and regrouped, deactivating the Vesryn Pulse. Nath and I made a small chat as we celebrate our victory inside our minds.

“Phew! That was a good fight, Nath. Two-versus-one dragon knights are not enough. Let’s try doing three-versus-one next time.” I said. Then I laughed like a princess. “Ohoho!”

“I’d prefer not to. I don’t want my muscles to be bruised again.” Nath said as he flexed his muscles, checking his scratches and other injuries.

“By the way, have you seen Senor Alphonse and Z?” I asked my dragonoid.

“I didn’t. But I think I saw a gigantic sword up in the skies during our fight earlier.” Nath said.

“Then let’s regroup with them, Oui?” I said.

As we are about to leave, three silhouettes from a distance walked close to us. As seconds pass by, my vision on the silhouettes became clearer and recognized these three approaching people.

The person on the left is a wounded Lothar Pendragon, with several burns on his left face and left arm. His armored uniform seemed to be a burnt rag to me.

The person on the right is a beautiful dragonoid with black hair, and she’s wearing a cherry blossom pink flower dress. Her crimson eyes with black sclera gave fear to my very existence.

The person in the center is my friend and ally, Alphonse. He seems to be uninjured in the battle, but he’s carrying the unconscious Z on his arms. For some reason, Alphonse’s blue eyes are lifeless. Everything is weird on him in all angles, as he is walking side by side with our enemies.

“Senor Alphonse… Why are you with them?” I muttered with my shaking voice.

I don't have any idea what's going on.
