The Rakshasa approached the village while stomping his feet on the ground. It stood near the entrance of the village waiting for the village chief.

Inside the village,

The village chief sensed the presence of the Rakshasa and he turned his attention towards the villagers.

“My dear villagers! We have punished the culprit and thus laid rest to the souls of our fellow villagers who were sacrificed. Let’s pray for their peaceful journey to the afterlife. May God bless them!”

The village chief closed his eyes as he cupped his hands together to pray. The villagers followed his lead and prayed silently for a while.

“All of you are free to return to your respective works while I will deal with the Rakshasa. If everything turns alright, the Rakshasa will leave our village forever.”

The village chief dismissed the villagers. The village chief marched towards the entrance of the village together with his army of guards. One of the guards approached the wailing Rudra to carry him over to the Rakshasa.

As he neared Rudra, the guard felt a huge amount of heat waves assaulting him. The guard's skin dried instantly as he staggered and fell back. Other guards were stunned when they saw this scene. Another two of the guards marched towards the Rudra but they too fell back and weren’t able to approach Rudra due to the massive amounts of intense heat released by him.

Rudra was hugging the lifeless bodies of his parents while sobbing and wailing. Normal guards were unable to approach him as his body turned a brighter shade of red with tints of fire erupting from the ground beneath him.

The guards hurriedly reported this to the village chief. The village chief was stunned at this sight. The Village Chief picked up his spear as he dashed towards the Rudra. His charge was interrupted by a large swath of flame slicing towards him. The village chief blocked the flames but was pushed back as his hands were seared in flame. He quickly doused the fire on his arms as a warm yellow light covered his body and his bruises began to heal. But the burns left behind by the flames were still present as he was unable to heal them. After expanding lots of his energy he was still unable to heal the burn. Staring at Rudra, the village chief murmured,

“What kind of fiend is this child? We need to get rid of him soon or it may spell calamity for us?”

Dread and terror began to rise in his heart as he fearfully glanced at Rudra’s direction. The entirety of Rudra’s body had turned red as more and more flames began to gather around him. The heart of the village chief began to palpitate in fear as he remembered the incident which occurred a few moments ago.

Suddenly a memory flashed by in village chief’s mind as the curse uttered by the Sudra woman before her death echoed in his ears,

“Today, it is my hut that is burning in flames, very soon a day will come when your manors will be incinerated in hell flames. Today my husband died a grave less death, very soon it will be you all who will be buried alive without a grave.”

‘No! this can’t continue! I need to stop it or else all of us will pay the price with our life.’

“Quick! Lead the Rakshasa over here and let him deal with this fiend. Both of them can harm each other or if possible can each other’s life”

The village chief anxiously urged the guards to inform the Rakshasa. The guards hurriedly rushed to the entrance to summon Rakshasa. The village chief stared in horror at the ever-increasing flames. Rudra continued to howl and wail as his cries echoed in the entirety of the cosmos.

Meanwhile at the entrance of the village,

The Rakshasa was momentarily startled by these wails but paid no heed. He came here for his treasure and will get it back at any cost. Soon, one of the village guards appeared before the Rakshasa and respectfully invited the Rakshasa in.

The Rakshasa approached near the village chief as it forcefully slammed its battle-axe on the ground shaking the footings of nearby guards. With his huge red eyes, the Rakshasa stared at the village chief as if looking at a worm unworthy of his attention and bellowed furiously,

“Answer me! Where are my treasure and the culprit who stole them? If I didn’t get my treasure, your entire village would be bathed in blood.”

With trembling hands, the village chief pointed his index finger in the direction of Rudra and murmured,

“Lord Rakshasa! It is that fiend over there. He is the one whole stole your treasure and consumed them. My lord! We are helpless against him. Please punish that fiend for his cockiness to steal from you, oh great lord!”

Ignoring the sugar-coated words of the village chief, the Rakshasa turned his attention to Rudra. The Rakshasa felt the familiar energy leaking from the body of Rudra. The energy similar to the energy of ‘Sahastra Gajbala’ was emitted from the body of the human child in front of him. The rage of Rakshasa returned as it dawned on him.

‘This human child has consumed his fruit.’

The Rakshasa roared and lost his last shred of sanity as he mindlessly charged at Rudra. He will smash this human child to mincemeat for foiling his plans and delaying his recovery.

Ignoring the intense heat released from the body of Rudra, the Rakshasa brandished his huge battle-axe and hammered it down towards Rudra. A huge pillar of fire and lava erupted from the ground in front of Rudra and blocked the smashing hammer. The Rakshasa was hurled back from the recoil of the force from the pillar and was smashed on the ground leaving a huge trail of dust and debris. The Rakshasa stood up using the battle-axe as support and glanced at Rudra with wariness in his eyes. Suddenly,

The land began to quake and tremble, huge cracks appeared on the ground as it split apart, wild winds began to roar and howl, lightning and thunder began to crackle in the sky as flames began to rise in the sky in the form of pillars. Rivers and seabed began to dry as a huge calamity began to brew initiating the arrival of an incoming calamity.

A huge apparition began to materialize above Rudra. The apparition was very huge, its head touching the skies. It has the appearance of a mighty god with braided hair. Sun and moon respectively constituted as its eyes. There was a trident in its left hand and a huge saber in its right hand. The apparition has a wrathful expression on its face as its wrath left a kind of cringing fear in the depths of the onlookers and deprecated any rebellious thoughts and demanded reverence. The huge shaft of trident runs from heaven and earth seemingly supporting the immense weight of heavens and thus displaying its otherworldly might. Hymns and prayers began to ring in the atmosphere as many gods and deities saluted the apparition,

“With firm limbs, multiform, the strong, the tawny adorns himself with bright gold decorations;

The strength of Godhead never departs from Rudra, him who is Sovereign of this world, the mighty.

One who makes all beings cry at the time of cosmic dissolution

One who can kill the forces of darkness

We worship Tryambaka, sweet augmenter of prosperity

As from its stem a flower, which freed from the bonds of death, not reft of immortality

All this verily is Rudra

To Rudra who is such we offer our salutation

We salute again and again that Being, Rudra, who alone is the Purusha and the Soul of creatures

The material universe, the created beings, and whatever there is manifoldly and profusely created, in the past and in the present, in the form of the world

All that is indeed this Rudra. Salutations be to Rudra who is such

Salutations to him who is in the heart of the gods

We pay homage to the Lord of the Universe.”

A variety of rare and fragrant flowers rained on the apparition as gods and deities paid there respect. The Rakshasa and the Village chief were unable to hear the hymns and see various Gods and deities. But they were startled by the huge apparition which was covered in fog and mist. Fear and apprehension appeared in their hearts as they were unable to even lift their heads and utter even a single word. They were unable to breathe as they were oppressed by huge amounts of pressure released from the aura of the apparition.

The huge apparition gazed down angrily at the mortals who had summoned his wrath by successfully angering his descendant. The huge eyes of apparition reminiscent of sun and moon began to shine brilliantly as huge amounts of energy began to gather between the brows of the apparition.

A huge vertical eye slowly opened on the forehead of the apparition.
