I wake up not assure of what time it is, but it seems that we are getting closer to the village. I can also see something? On one of the buildings, it looks green. As I turn back to the group, Destiny looks at me and speaks.

"You know, Link you look so calm and peaceful when your sleeping. It's much better than your usual attitude." she says with a smirk

"So... is that an insult or a compliment." I ask

"It can be both." she says as she giggles a little

. . . I sigh.

"No need to bully Link to hard Destiny, he hasn't done anything wrong." Dalton says to both of us

"Yea I know, but there's nothing wrong with some friends making fun of each other." replied Destiny

We turn back to the village, and as we get closer to the village it appears that there are vines and plants entering buildings. Caesar stops and parks the wagon off here. It's not too far from the village but far enough from the plant vines or whatever. While this is happening we grab our things.

Caesar tells us "Sorry, but it looks like you three need to walk the rest of the way.  It's starting to look dangerous, and I don't wanna draw danger towards my daughter and myself."

"It's understandable, plus it's not that far anyway, when we find it safe enough we'll come back to you guys. Stay safe out here too." Dalton says to Caesar as he waves

Caesar tells us "Good luck" with a wave

We walk into the village, and as we enter we see a couple vines and plants breaking into houses and plant-like figures. They appear to just be holding everyday tools and sticks. . . very sharp sticks and they also have this flower bud thing on their shoulder. As I look down at their foot, one part of their legs are connected to a much larger vine and leads into somewhere. It's like a cord, and at their head part, it has a flower with a giant eye. The four plant monster things have pots, pans, and one has a sharp stick... ok, not the weirdest thing I have seen in my life, but well questionable.

"So, uh were killing those things right?" I ask Dalton and Destiny

"We probably should. Though... I'm not sure if they will entirely die as they seem to be connected to something." Dalton says as he points to the vine cord thing those monsters are connected too

"I mean, I could just freeze them to death." Destiny tells us

"You can do that?" I ask

"Yea they're just plants, it should be simple to just freeze them to death." answered Destiny

I mean logically I guess it would be simple to freeze them to death, but does logic and realism even work here as this is magic and stuff like uh science ain't gonna explain anything here or err it will but not completely I guess? Oh well, whatever. We all just kind of look at each other and shrug as well were not really sure, and so we charge ahead.

It starts off with Destiny sniping one with an icicle that pierces into the body, and it stops when in the center of the body. Destiny crushes the icicle into shards, and then starts doing something? I don't know but it causes the shard to spread and make it colder and eventually just freezing the monster plant to death. As this was happening, I and Dalton charged in slicing up the plant monsters, cutting them in halves. Dalton then finishes off the last one. We look at the plant monsters and the top half of the body seems to wither and die off while the part still connected to the cord is the same. The one that was frozen had its cord cut off as the ice tried to spread through the rest of the cord. It seems that this plant thing has some intelligence, is sentient, or can feel.

"Seems like there are still plants walking around the village, I say we split up and kill the rest or majority to secure the area." says Dalton as he points in multiple directions

We all look at each other and nod, and go our ways to purge the plant monsters. I continue to walk down the path cutting down the monsters. As I was cutting down one of the plant monsters, I turned to the other one and its bud thing on its shoulder opened up and shot like 3 needles at me. I barely dodge this, holy shit this reminds me of the time in dodge ball barely dodging the shots. Before I allow it to shoot more needles at me I rush up to it and cut it half. As I watched the monster wither and rest, I heard a scream. I try to pinpoint its location and follow the direction I believe it is in. Turns out it was more to the right... oh well. As I walk to the house Destiny and Dalton are there, and there is a vine cord that has broken into a window.

"Oh, you heard it too?" asked Dalton

"I mean the scream was relatively loud for us all to hear so yea." I answer back with a shrug

As we were talking Destiny shatters a window that she froze, and we stare at her.

"Hey, why'd you break the window?" I ask

"Doors locked, and uh remember someone is screaming in there." answered Destiny

"Oh yeah... forgot about that." me and Dalton say

We climb through the window and all go upstairs, we see two girls being attacked by a plant monster, or well its slowly inching itself to them, it's rather slow? Anyway, Dalton slashes it in half before yeeting it out the window.

"Hey, you two ok?" asked Dalton as he sheaths his sword

"Uh... yes me, and my younger sister are fine. We got away with minor injuries." the older girl answered as she stands up

"I see, well be careful don't know how many are left... also we broke your window downstairs. So you may wanna just uh, lock yourself up here instead until its secured." says Dalton

"I understand..." says the girl

We walk back downstairs,  Dalton tells us to split off again to find more plant monsters to kill, and so those two went off again. . . Oh well, I guess I go down the other path I guess. There are more monsters and more slashing and some dodging for me to do. I see a vine cord that leads into a house and see a plant monster banging its head against the door. I walk up to it and slash it in half and it withers, I open the door to then only get hit with a frying pan, which I barely managed to block with my arms.

"Get out!" screamed a woman

"Wait wait calm down, its a human." a man says

"Ow... what the hell." I say

"My bad, we had locked ourselves in this room when multiple of those monsters came after us, and we have been here for 3 hours or so. So apologies for hitting you." the man says

"Argh... just don't do it again." I say

I get up to prepare to leave.

"Huh? you're leaving already? There's more of those guys out there, don't you know?" the man tells me with a worried expression 

"Well me and my friends have been clearing them up, so you guys should be able to come out soon." I answer

He looks at me and then just nods.

"Ah... I'm sorry for hitting you..." she says

"Uh... its fine don't do it again." I say slightly annoyed

I walk and leave the house, and I also notice them leave the room, but I'm not sure what they're doing so I just ignore it. As I exit the house I also notice that some of the vines, or cords of the plants or whatever you wanna call it have disappeared. As I look around I can hear Destiny and Dalton calling for me, I follow the sounds of their voices or try to anyway.

"Oh there you Link, I think we have cleared a majority of them now. We also found the mayor and saved him and his wife. I think its best we go tell Caesar that its ok to come into the village now." says Dalton

I reply with "Yeah probably."

We walk back to the village square and wait for Dalton as he goes to talk to Caesar to tell him its ok to come into town now. After about 5 minutes or so Caesar, Ellie, and Dalton arrive with the wagon too.

"I see you guys cleaned up a bit of the plants." Caesar says while giving us a thumbs up

"Yea we did, but the cords of the rest of the plants retreated into the forest." answered Dalton

"Wait, there's a forest?" I ask

"Yea it's behind those houses over there." Dalton says as he points west

"Huh, well it explains why they disappeared I guess." I reply

"It's getting late. I think you three should rest." Caesar says

"No, we should have enough time as its the afternoon only, and we were post to look for the other adventurers that took on this mission anyway. Plus we didn't do much anyway, besides swing a sword a couple times and cast magic. Then again I guess I have to wait for Destiny and Link's approval too." Dalton says

"Yea, I'm still up for it, though we should probably bring a lantern in case nightfall's onto us when we are looking for them in the forest." I tell Dalton

"Yea, I'm still fine to go on." says Destiny

"Alright it's settled, but first we get a lantern as Link suggested." Dalton tells us

"Well since you guys are going in the afternoon, I wish you three good luck... Also here, have my lantern instead I won't be needing it anyway as it seems were staying overnight. Try not to get split up in there, especially when it gets dark." says Caesar

Caesar hands over his lantern to Dalton. We thank him, and we start walking in the direction of where the forest is as Dalton leads the way. As we are walking towards the forest I notice a pot lid, this reminds... didn't those plants shoot needles at me? Maybe I should take it, and use it as a shield against the needles. I pick up the pot lid from the floor. Though it's not really big enough to be a shield, it'll still work as a shield. As I picked up the pot lid I catch up with Destiny and Dalton as we enter the forest.
