I look forward, to see that we are slowly getting closer to Plumeria's capital again. We pass through the gates and park outside the guild. We get off with our belongings and see Caesar off. Blaz also parks by the guild and waits for us to turn in the quest. We walk into the guild and go into Garen's room.

"Ah! Good to see you kids again. How'd it go?" he asks as he hugs all of us

"We did fine! Link almost died. Mozor says hello also." Dalton answers

"Ah, It's been a while since I last talk to him. Maybe I'll send him a message... Also, Link what did you do to get yourself near death." Garen says

"Uhhh... Some guy tried to kill me I guess?" I answer with a shrug

"Hmm... well who knows. Here's the pay." Garen tells us as he hands 10 gold coins to Dalton

"Ya know I could get you guys into the academy to get trained for swordsmanship and magic. To decrease your chances of dying. I would prefer to not see you kids die out there." Garen suggests to us

"That seems interesting." Dalton says

The only thought I had going was. BRUH I do not want to go back to school again. Even if its to learn more about this world and magic and stuff. Like why, not again. I slouch with a pained expression. I look to the group and they seem mostly sure going to school. Andr seems a little nervous.

"Yeah, sure we'd love to go." Dalton says

DALTON WHY!?! I continue slouching. If they go I have to go. . . Because if I'm left alone I won't have the motivation to do shit. Well, fuck. Man, I'm really forced into this huh... Man fuck this.

"Well, I can try to get you four signed up for it. It'll take maybe a day or two. You four will be coming in a month late though. I'm sure it's fine but remember when you go, you do have to pay monthly. It won't be much though. Anyway, go relax today as maybe Link's stressed out after that experience." Garen says

"Umm... it didn't stress me out though?" I try to say

"Don't lie! Come on. Go relax today." He tells me

I slouch with a confused but pained expression. I shrug it off. We walk out of the room and walk outside. Blaz calls my name.

"Hey, Link. You have stuff to talk about with Blaz right?" Dalton tells me

Well to be honest no not really Dalton.

"Here take half of the coins. Get yourself something. I gotta monitor over Destiny to make sure she doesn't spend it all like she does when going shopping haha. Anyway, I'll be with Andr and Destiny. We'll meet up by the adventurers guild later alright?" Dalton tells me

"Uh, sure." I answer and take the 6 gold coins from him

We wave and I watch them walk away into the stores. Ya know... He is right about making sure Destiny doesn't overspend on our money lol. I turn towards Blaz. He's by his carriage taking things out of it and having people carry them to a store with a box as a sign. I walk towards him and he turns towards me.

"Ah! Finish with your stuff?" he asks

"Um... sure?" I say with a shrug

"Haha... I get it." he tells me

I don't get what he gets.

"Anyway, I was gonna give you a gift. But here take this money instead." he tells me as he hands over 1 gold and 50 silver 

"Huh? Gift?" I ask

"Yea a gift. I was going to lend you a girl as a gift as it seems you need it. You want one?" Blaz tells me

"Uh... no no I'm fine with what I got. Also, what do you mean by gifting girls?" I asked confused

"Oh, well I'm sure one of the girls would like to be with you. And no no I don't do slavery. I save those girls and give them homes and loving husbands." he assures me

Yeah, ok buddy no. I also want to call him a dumbass but I let it go.

"Yeah, it's fine I don't need one." I say with a slouch

"Alright. Well, good luck Link. I'm sure we'll see each other again as I'm a merchant myself too." he says as he bows with his top hat

Wait. . . Actually never mind. As Blaz was about to leave, we hear a girl shriek and then some crying. It seems to be coming from the alleyway nearby. 

"We should check what's going on." Blaz says

"Oh god, not again." I mutter to myself slouching

I want to just leave as I don't care about this but I force myself to follow Blaz. We follow to a nearby alley. We can see a male and female beating up a girl. I can hear "worthless trash." and other terms I would prefer not to hear myself... well from close ones anyway.

"You should help her Mr "hero"." he jokes

"Uh... Do I have to?" I ask

"Your a good person right?" he tells me

I would prefer to leave as the crying annoys me. It also hurts me. I turn away and make a pained expression and go back to normal.

"Oi mother fuckers! What are you guys doing back there." as I speak up

"Huh who are you?" the guy turns around

"Tsk... lets run its that guy... he's brought a guard..." the girl says while points to Blaz

Blaz smirk's at them and I glare at them. I approach them slowly. I'm not necessarily sure if being in my hoodie also makes me "scarier".

"Alright, we'll leave! Just don't hurt us." he says while sliding his hand into his pocket

I notice what he's doing so I decide to pull out my shield just in case. I can hurt them... just not kill them. I wouldn't want to go to prison haha. He approaches me before then charging with a knife. The alleyway isn't necessarily large so there's no point in dodging. I block his hit and punch him. I run up to him and hit him with my shield on the face.

"Oi... if you don't want your pretty girl face to be ruined leave right now, bitch." I tell the lady with a glare

She stutters to say something and leaves her "boyfriend" on the ground. Wow what a fucking hoe. I turn my way to the man on the floor. I pick up his knife and point it at him.

"If you don't want to die, you should probably leave too right?" I say with a sinister smile

The man gets himself up and runs. I sigh and hand the knife to Blaz. A bit scary if you tell me. I haven't used threats seriously unless I was joking... Man, how'd I get myself into this again? I'm just glad that these were citizens and not thugs as at least thugs know how to fight or well fight terribly anyway.

"Keep the knife." I say with a sigh

"What am I post to do with this?" he asks

"Keep it. . ." I tell him

I walk over to the girl dressed in rags on the ground and crouch down to her. She had long silver hair with some braids in them and red eyes. I look into them... they seem... dead inside. I notice the tears dropping from the girl's eyes.

I use the sleeve of my sweater to wipe the tears and notice pointy ears. She's an elf? I look back at her eyes and tears were still dropping. I sigh. Well, what the actual fuck am I post to do now? A real "yare yare daze..." moment for me to be honest. I look at her body and she has bruises and cuts.

"Hey, she alright?" Blaz says as he walks up

"Fine in like literal meaning or like now?" I ask

"Like now." he tells me

"She's... mostly fine so far..." I say as I turn back to her

"I knew you were a good person when I first met you." he tells me

"Sure..." I mumble

"Link... I'm going to leave her in your hands..." Blaz says

I turn around to him as he walks back.

"Wait you fucking asshat you can't just suddenly leave me!?!" I yell at him

He smirks but not with evil intention. It's a more happy smirk.

"You're a good man Link... you can save her..." he tells me

"What the fuck! You save girls, right? Why can't you do that yourself." I say as I approach him

As I approach him he starts backing further away. It almost feels like I'm not making progress towards him.

"Good luck." he says as he disappears into the crowd.

"Piece of shit..." I say as I kick the ground and grab my head

I slouch and sigh... Great now I'm responsible for someone's life. I didn't want to do this type of shit man. Really putting up with my modding father Link now bull shit. I sigh once again and turn towards the girl. She backs up slightly in fear. I'm not necessarily sure what to say. Jesus, now that I think about it the others are going to believe I'm into fucking slavery or some shit. I'm actually doomed lmao. I sigh with this thought.

"Hey... Uh... you ok?" I ask her

"You don't have to speak if you want. You can nod instead." I suggest to her

She looks at me and turns away and nods. I sigh. I sigh a lot. Maybe I could get her to a doctor and leave her there. I think about it but I get thoughts of "Just a cheap way of abandoning her huh? Coward." Alright now's not the time to flame myself. 

"Technically it's like the time you abandoned Angelina... right?" my thoughts tell me

Ok well shut the fuck up me I didn't do shit. . . I ignore myself. 

"Here wear this." I tell her as I take off my sweater and hand it to her

She hesitates... but puts it on. I sigh. I wipe away the remaining tears and lend a hand out to pull her up which she accepts. She's slightly taller than me. I put the hood on for her and hold her hand so I can guide her. Ya know... I never expected to do any of these things in my life. I sigh again.

I lead her out of the alley and ask citizens around where I could find a healer or doctor. They told me that it was close to the adventurers guild. I'm surprised I never noticed this. Either I'm super fucking dense or just didn't care. Maybe both, I shrug to myself. I see the sign for the doctor or healer area. The sign is a staff with a needle and the medical sign thing. I open the door and go to the front desk with the girl behind me.

"Hey uh... I'd like to heal and check the health of my "friend" here." I tell the female clerk

"Ah yes. We'll see what we can do and tell you the amount you have to pay." she tells me

I nod to her.

"Here follow me and bring the girl." she says as she gets up and leads me to the back area

I look around and its like an office. Nothing else to really say. We walk to the back which has a Doctor and then a priest looking girl.

"So what are ya here for?" he asks

"Could you check up on my friend here and heal her?" I ask

"Sure, we'll check it out and then tell you the pay and then heal her and everything else." he tells me as he stands up with the other lady

The clerk lady from earlier leaves. The priest lady walks up to the girl and does some magic shit. Not like I can tell what they're doing lol.

"I see... it'll cost you 1 gold and 20 silver." he tells me

"Um... alright." I answer

I'm not necessarily sure if that's expensive or not but I shrug to myself. I hand over the money and they start preparing to heal her. The priest girl starts casting healing magic. It provides a light green aura... different color from what Andr did but shrug. The wounds and bruises on the girl start to disappear.

And as Andr informed me before the girl tells her that she needs to rest for them to properly heal. The doctor walks over and looks at her and checks for other things such as flu's I guess. They even did some cleaning on her appearance apparently.

"She is sick. But it's nothing too bad. Here take this pill, it'll drive that sickness away in about a day." he tells me as he gives the girl the pill and some water

The girl hesitates again... and then drinks and takes the pill. Just what happened to her for her to hesitate? I shrug it off as I don't want my thoughts to burden my judgment.

"Hey... Your not the ones who made those bruises on that lady right?" he asks me

"No, I didn't..." I say

He glares a little and nods at the priest girl and she nods back at him. The priest girl then stares at me. I notice her eyes light up a little. The next second she's on the floor but nods to the doctor. He then sighs.

"Alright I'm sorry for bothering you... continue with your day." he says as he waves

"Uh... ok?" I say as I hold the girl's hand to guide her again

We walk outside. I turn towards her.

"Hey... you mind giving me your name?" I ask

She looks down and nods a no.

"Alright, well that's fine... How about I call you E for now? Since I don't know your name and for some reason, E popped up in my head." I suggest

She hesitates again but nods yes. Man, why did I choose E as a temporally name lmfao. Ah well, I was never a creative person anyway. I think to myself I should probably buy her clothes... she's in rags and that just makes me look suspicious as fuck. The good thing is no one is glaring at me as bad as before. I sigh again... I walk towards one of the clothes store guiding E. I say hello to the clerk.

"Hey... uhhhhh... any outfit you wanna wear?" I ask her

"I... I don't know..." she mutters

. . . Oh well, that doesn't help me at all. It's just fucking silence.

"Hey, could you help her find something to wear?" I ask the clerk

"Oh sure." she tells me

She leads E down somewhere. Well, they are females so I'll just do my own thing. . . alright, its been like 5 minutes. I go sit down and close my eyes as I feel tired... Time passes. I didn't really nap but I rested my eyes at least... I get poked by someone and I open my eyes to see the clerk put E in a dress. The dress is red with some silver on it. E seems to be okay with it too. So we agree to buy it. It cost me 1 gold. I also get my sweater back so that's nice. I put on my sweater which now makes me edgier.

We leave the store and I turn back to make sure E is following me still. She follows close behind to not get lost I assume.

"Hey, you hungry?" I ask

. . . she nods

Ok, so she muttered earlier for a second but continues to nod. Well, I did tell her that she didn't have to talk, lol. I lead her to the restaurant that Andr showed us and let her order food to eat. I tell her to choose whatever food she wants.

She opens the menu and looks through it. She pokes at me when she has chosen her food. We wait for the waiter and tell her what "we" want which was a salad and steak. The food comes and I let her eat. Seems she hasn't eaten in a while. She finishes up and we pay 8 silver for the food and leave.

I'm not sure what to do now though. . . I guess we wait for the rest of the group now. Well, well, well, how the fuck do I explain this as I think to myself as I walk to the adventurers guild holding E's hand.
