I catch my breath as I lie against the pillar. I look up at the ceiling and then look at the floor. As I looked at the floor, it was irregularly shiny. What the hell. I see a reflection of the younger me. It then ages into an older version of me. Not like I would know if it would be me. I look away from it. Laughter could be heard coming from somewhere. I look around and it was some students laughing at each other.

Am I imagining things? I look back at the floor. The shine from it, it's gone. What the fuck. I shrug it off as nothing though. Wouldn't be the first time I hear and see things. I sigh to myself. Harold appears greeting me with a hello. I reply with sup.

"How's ya arm?" he asked

"Uh... It's ok, I guess?" I answer

"Stop feeling down about it! Get yourself up and swing those arms up high!" he exclaims

"Uh... I can't really do that, you know that right?." I reply

"Not with that attitude." he joked

I make a face of confusion and pain. I sigh and then stand up. He gives me a thumbs up.

"Anyway, what are we doing?" I ask

"We will do some running since you can't really pressure your arm too much. After that we'll figure out the rest." he answers

"Wait, isn't that still bad?" I replied

"Well, yes but no. It won't be that bad, trust me." he remarked

"Uh... Right..." I mumbled

Harold pats me on the back and repeats that I'll be fine. I doubt it but not a lot I can do about it. Harold tells me we're going to run around the academy a couple of times and then continue with something else. I'm not too sure how big the area is but we do run around three times. My arm hurts a little but my body hurts more. I don't necessarily exercise so I'm tired as fuck. We then walk back into the gym.

"Harold, I can't feel my legs..." I say while leaning against the wall of gym.

"Then how are you standing?" he teased

I stare him down before briefly sighing. Harold calls me and throws a water canteen at me.

"I can see that you're tired. Drink up." he says

"Thanks?" I reply

I drink from the water canteen. It's refreshing, I guess. Doesn't change the fact that I'm still tired. I toss back the canteen to Harold.

"What's the plan now?" I ask again

"Well, not a lot you can really do. Maybe I can teach you something instead?" he answers

Hmm... He is right I suppose. I could ask about magic though. Not like I'll really remember it though.

"How about magic?" I ask

"That'll work. But specify the question Link." he says

"Oh, right..." I reply

What do I even wanna learn anyway... I know some basic stuff from class. I didn't think this through. We sit in silence for a while.

"You have no idea what you want to learn." he says to break the silence

"Uh... Yeah. Maybe I'll ask about it another time when I actually have an idea." I reply

"Hmm... I know you're not that interested in magic but I want you to do this. Here, try to summon a tentacle of darkness." he requested

I look at him confused. A tentacle? That's a weird thing to try to make with magic. But whatever.

"Remember to concentrate too." he tells me

"Right..." I mumble

I focus or well, try to anyway. I black goo like circle appears in front of me. I get a headache from this but nothing too bad.

"You made a circle. Close enough." he says

I lift my left arm slightly and a tentacle slowly rises.

"Oh. There it is. Wasn't expecting it to be made considering your magic sucks." he tells me

"Rude much?" I reply

"Honest truth." he answers

"Better than a lie, I guess. Anyway, why did make this again?" I say with a shrug

"Oh, just wanted to see. Learn to make it faster and you can catch people." he tells me

"Right, but this requires me to focus and that's hard to do." I remarked

"That is true. But you may need it one day. Just don't do anything naughty with that." he noted

"Naughty? Anyway, sure maybe one day." I say to Harold

"We're almost out of time so I'll let you go early. I'll see ya tomorrow." he says as he starts to walk away

"Oh, alright." I reply as I drop my left arm

Harold stops for a moment to say "I just remembered something Illusion told. You should thank Leticia. He told me to tell you this. Not sure why but she probably saved your life or something during that quest he told me about." He then continues walking on

"Uh... Ok." I mumble

I watch as he leaves the gym and soon leave myself. I sit in front of the academy like usual waiting for the rest of the gang to show up. Some kids look at my cast on my right arm but nothing too interesting happened. I lean against the steps but it feels pretty weird so I decide to sit back up. Melia is the first to come out. She notices me and comes over to me.

As she walks towards me she tells me "Um... Link I have something to say since we haven't had a good enough time to do so but... I'm sorry that you broke your right arm for me..."

"It's fine." I answer

"It's not fine though! You broke your arm... I want to make it to you." she fretted

Oh boy. I sigh to myself. Well, time to make an excuse. I notice her red hair friend in the back mad and walking towards me but Shiro comes to drag her away. Thanks, Shiro.

"Look, had I have not jumped in you could have potentially died out there. It's better that I broke an arm than you dying." I assured

Saying that reminded me of something... I shrug it off.

"That doesn't make me feel any better that you did it though." she sniffled

"Alright, alright, if you want to make it to me just go buy a snack or drink for me." I requested

She stares at me.

"Look, it is what it is. Also, stop doing this. I don't want the attention of the other students. Just relax a little." I say with a sigh

"Ok..." she answers

Well, at least she's listening now. I tell her to sit down and pat her on the back. I then go back to casually relaxing on the steps. Not sure how but it works. Leticia then comes and sits down by us.

"Oh, hey Leticia. Also thanks for whatever you did back there." I tell her

She doesn't say anything but gives a nod. Honestly, can't someone just tell me what she did. Why do you people make it harder... Good grief guys... The twins eventually come and we head out to do something. Melia says she wants to treat us to desserts. Probably for what I said.

We walk down the city and find a dessert store. The store's colors are pastel pink, light blue, white, and purple. The sign above is a slice of cake. There are chairs and tables outside too. Everyone chooses their dessert and I get a cake from Melia. Personally, I don't like cake that much but whatever. Destiny and Leticia got ice cream. Dalton got a macaroon or something. Melia didn't get anything for herself. I call Destiny over.

"What's up Link?" she asked

"Go tell Melia to get herself something." I requested

"Why don't you do it yourself?" she asked

"Because I'm eating this slice of cake." I answered

"You can finish it after asking." she tells me

"No, I'm the crippled man here." I joked

She makes an annoyed face but does it anyway. Dalton looks at me and I shrug. Well, at least Destiny and Melia will get closer this way, I guess. Leticia sits to my right just eating her ice cream. I would have assumed she would go with Destiny and Melia back into the store to help her choose. I shrug to myself. Another relaxing day if I say so myself. Well besides getting beat earlier today, I guess.

I notice Garen walking down the street and he notices me too. He quickly makes his way towards me. As he gets closer he isn't in his normal adventurer's clothes but in a tuxedo with a purple undershirt and purple flower.

"Heya kid, good to see you haven't kicked the bucket." he tells me

"Yeah, I'm fine." I reply

"Well, sorry about your arm kid, I should have watched over Illusion to make sure you didn't get hurt. Luckily you weren't injured too badly. Here kid, take 2 gold coins. It's not much to make up for what happened to you. Just don't wanna see ya kick the bucket or your friends if another scenario like this happens. I got a party to go to. So I'll see ya later." he says as he leaves

I didn't even get a chance to thank him. Seems a bit worried for us. I shrug it off as nothing. Nothing... I stop thinking for a moment. I tuck the gold coins into my pocket. I finish my cake and we're off. We spend most of our time looking around and stuff. Nothing too interesting  happens within this time. We then decided we shouldn't do any quest until my arm properly heals. I told them they didn't need me but they objected.

Two and a half weeks quickly fly by. We mostly did scavenging and easy quest. They weren't much but it was easy for us as a group of five. School? Eh, it was fine. Not a lot has really happened. But one thing that changed for PE was that we're learning how to swim so. I already know how to float so that's easy but I don't know how to swim properly. Well, we start it tomorrow though. On a Friday surprisingly. Would have expected it to be on a Monday but whatever.

I also got my arm cast off on Thursday afternoon as the cast broke off from me. It kind of just plopped off. Weird but I don't know. It then dispersed. Honestly, was expecting to go back to the hospital to take it off but cool. I mean it is magic and stuff so yeah. What did we do over these times? Well, we hung out as usual. The others have made some friends while me. Well, I haven't done much to make new friends or anything in general.

Harold and I continue to work out and stuff. He teaches me somethings here and there but we just poke fun at each other usually. We have life talks once and a while too. Celine and I still train and I still get my ass kicked. I have gotten slightly better practicing with my left arm but I don't know if I'll continue to train it since my right arm is back. Sometimes she joins Harold and me during training.

Anyway, I suppose it's time to sleep since it is Thursday night. I decide to sleep and sleep goes by quickly and now it's Friday morning. Of course, I didn't wake up as Dalton had to wake me up as usual. It has become a normal thing, to be honest. Man time does really fly by quickly. Time to get ready once again for school.
