“Hey! It is your favourite god!” Aska said, holding a book of my memories in hand. We were in my mind space surrounded by thousands and thousands of books. I just wanted to punch him for no real reason.

“Why are you reading how to make noodles?” I asked while looking into the book.

“Well, you aren’t around anymore … and creating the noodles myself always results in exactly the same taste … and that’s boring ... but sadly … I cannot read your memories anymore.” I nodded with a hint of interest. At least that explained why I needed to cook the whole time.

“I see. Why are you here?” I asked, surveying the part of my mind space I never had before. Or I did … it looked always the same wherever you went after all.

“We need to talk.” He said while looking sternly at me.

“About?” I asked, scratching my cheek because I had absolutely no idea. Was it about the fight? Did I do anything wrong?

“How did you get the information where the werewolves live?” He asked worried.

“Well, I said Jacob I loved him and he told me.”

“… have you forgotten about your sexual adventure?”

“My …” I scratched my head a bit and slowly opened my eyes wider. My memories I somehow forgot since I met Jacob the last time slowly resurfaced, revealing once more how fucked up I was. “What have you done to me?” I asked, angry about my inability to remember it.

“Nothing. Seriously, if I wanted you to forget, you wouldn’t find your memories so easily again.” I squinted my eyes, unsure if this was the truth or not. “Lucinda, I want you to burn the piece of paper you wrote everything down on. Remembering what you did is … damaging for your mental health.” He sounded almost concerned about me as he mentioned the last part. And honestly, everything so far made a bit of sense.

And yet, I felt something was missing in his explanation. Who was eradicating these memories for example, if not Aska? And what if he lied? Could I really trust him in that regard?

“No.” I said drily.

“What?” He certainly didn´t expect this answer.

“No.” I repeated, this time slowly.

“Lucinda, plea-“ He said, but I interrupted him mid-sentence.

“No. I think I am on the right track. I´m in my rebellious phase after all, so please excuse me if I go to a brothel to screw someone the moment I wake up.”

“What?” He asked in utter disbelief.

“There is clearly something wrong with me in regards to sexuality. That you didn´t start complaining about my adventure right away clearly tells me you are hiding something.” I stated, pointing out the mistake he made.

“You promised you wouldn’t go around fucking someone.” He claimed.

“As long as it isn´t necessary … ahh, I have to wait for Tom´s betrayal, don’t I?” I asked myself more than him.

“This will not end well for you.” He said slightly saddened.

“So what? There are already so many screws loose in my head, I cannot even count them. I had sex with someone … and then slaughtered his whole family.” I giggled happily about my actions, but then returned to be serious once again. “You are clearly hiding something. And I will find out eventually. Until then though … I´m thinking of reading a few dirty, naughty novels.” I placed both of my palms against each other and rubbed my left hand on my cheek while smiling happily. Aska certainly didn´t like that too much and snipped with his fingers.

Everything vanished in an instant only to be replaced by an insanely bright sun, shining on my face at a rather shallow angle.

“Ahh~ I feel like doing a bit of gardening work. What about you?” I asked, checking the glasses on my face while turning to Mary.

“… do you know how much that will cost again? And how should we explain that to the guards? Someone saw a completely masked person and several wolves enter the estate … and now this.” Mary pointed towards the iron plate, covering the werewolf which resembled a flounder more than a wolf now.

“Ahh … are you mad?” I asked concerned. I really wished I wouldn’t need to run away from her because of her anger.

“No … I´m just a bit riled up … and happy that you are safe.” She said which did warm my heart considerably.

“Okay … we will attribute that destruction to ‘The Crown’ … and whoever intruded the estate is now either dead or escaped … I really need to get out of this clothing.” I mumbled incoherently and eyed the tattered dress I painstakingly bought and fitted to my size. I let my gaze wander around the garden, looked at all the destruction with glee … and noticed how something was drooling over my left hand.

I turned my head around and noticed with fascination how a cute doggo … licked my hand.

“Eww… since when do we have a dachshund?” I asked, blinking a few times to check if this brown dog was maybe an illusion.

“I don’t know … he was suddenly here and as Hannah and Tom deemed him safe, we let him do his thing for now.” Mary said, looking at the dog quite strangely.

“I´m not a dog.” Said the dog.

Silence. Mary and I looked in each other eyes and then nodded at the same time.

“When do you want to get rid of the dog?” I asked, completely ignoring the doggo next to me.

“As early as possible.” She said, slowly standing up while ignoring him as well.

“I am. Not. A. DOG!” He nearly jumped into me as he rested his little paws on my shoulder and screamed into my ear.

“… so, we aren’t insane right? This dog is talking.” I questioned.

“… how often do I need to tell you I am not a dog! I am a Dschinn!” He said, and really revealed everything I needed to know. I didn´t know if he knew he wasn’t unique as they were quite rare and didn´t form naturally, but I saw one in purgatory. It was a completely and utterly untrustworthy person which was created using the souls of a hunded thousand thieves. They were all – without any exception – parasitic creatures which would try to consume the host after granting him or her three wishes.

“A Dschinn in the form of a dog?” I asked and scratched my head innocently.

“I needed to take some form. And dog DNA was around … so …” Understandable. I always thought werewolves were just dogs in disguise.

“Ah … I see. So you were in this gem?” I asked, only slightly interested.

“Yes. For thousands of years, I was captured in the sapphire until that werewolf tried to consume me.” Why did they all lie? Didn´t he know I could tell when souls were lying? Didn´t he know I could read him like an open book? What a rookie Dshinn.

“Cool.” I said drily, realizing he was now bound to me because I destroyed his last vessel.

“That’s it?” He asked, taken off guard as he expected a stronger reaction from me.

“Yup.” I said drily.

“You have three wishes …” He told me … as if I was completely stupid.

“I have? Woah that’s like birthday and Christmas together on a single day ...” I exclaimed and threw my hands in the air like a little child.

“It is better … I can grant you anything you want.” He said and nodded a few times to underline his point.

“And so does Santa Claus. Just a question, you do have to fulfil these wishes, even if you don’t like them?” I asked, hoping the information Aska gave me about them were true.

“Yes, except asking for more wishes, I will do everything you say.” I nodded a few times but wasn’t yet ready to state my wishes.

“What did he wish for?” I pointed towards the metal plate.

“He wanted to be the strongest werewolf possible … an impossible to pierce skin and the ability to control the moon.” Crazy. Completely crazy. Nobody could give him the ability to control the moon, not even a Dshinn who was otherwise known for their god-like powers … if they just could use them for themselves…

“Woah that’s possible?” I asked, in utter disbelief.

“Everything is possible.” He said, lying once more.

“Great. I want everyone in Baxter Street 98 to forget everything about me and what happened while I was around.” I said and smiled brightly, guessing he would see these two wishes as one because of their similarity.

“Done.” He said. Not a lie.

“I want every werewolf to be turned into a human.” I wished.

“Interesting … done.” Not a lie. Still within the realms of possibilities apparently.

“I want you to turn into eternal ice.” I said, letting my smile die down instantly. With disgust in my eyes, I looked at the dog to my side.

“Uhm …” His paws started to freeze quickly and he looked at me in horror. “I don’t understand … quickly, you can still change the wish.” He claimed. I waited a few seconds until his legs were completely turned into ice until I replied to him.

“Nah … I´d rather not.” I said and patted his head for the first, and last time.

“Why?” He asked in confusion.

“Why? … because I hate birthdays?” I questioned and put a finger on my lips, seemingly deep in thought. The real reason was obvious. He couldn’t be trusted. That was also why I had no intention of using these wishes for myself as Sirius did. The Dshinn would probably try to take over my body … but I wouldn’t let him.

“Please … please.” He begged repeatedly, while Mary and I watched how he froze completely into a nice dachshund statue. After several seconds, I touched the ice, felt how cold it was and nodded satisfied. Afterwards, I clapped my hands once in front of my face and looked up to Mary with joy in my eyes.

“Hamburgers?”
