Since she knows about the name then she should also know about the reason for that name. Now, it should be easy to make her step back.

He didn't not give Jinying any false hope and just told everything clearly even after he knows, the only way to save her apart from this marriage is his death.

He's going to marry Jinying in an attempt to save her life. If he wanted, he could have just created a false illusion of love between them. And just leave afterwards even if the treatment succeeds.
