“Brutal recon”
[WAKE UP!]
I was dead tired… For the past few days I had no way to sleep properly.
I either was woken up immediately, or it was too hot to sleep.
Even though we left the desert and went deep into a savannah, I was still not prepared for what I can find.
“Onii-chan? Are we there yet?” I started pulling the priest’s robe.
“Should be. But I never heard of a settlement here…” (P)
At the nearest stop I once again separated from the group and launched a flight of scouts.
Our course was exactly to the landmark I wanted to explore.
When we arrived, everybody was astonished.
“Is this a mansion?!” (S)
“It looks old. There might be something useful.” (W)
“Brothers, am I the only one who feels like it is the third time we arrived to a place which has nothing to do with a settlement?” (B)
Then, all of the eyes turned to me. Still, it was no longer my problem. The caravaneers did what they were needed for.
‘VROOOOOM’
The scout flight made a low altitude fly-by, and the mansion’s withered gardens shook. Deteriorated hands stretched out from under the ground.
“Enemy!” (S)
“I see! ‘Great purification’.” (P)
A pillar of light fell on the mansion territory, and some of the rising undead stopped moving. Still, many zombies and skeletons walked by stopped arms and half-unburied bodies.
“Ryusei, sortie!”
With rapid deployment on the way, I had all of my Ryusei torpedo bombers deployed, and carpet bombed the undead.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
I ignored the crazed looks of my ex-comrades and walked forth, towards my destiny.
Now you explained this before, they just float to the target but... How do the torpedoes explode?
Those are not torpedoes. Torpedo bombers can and do carry normal bombs.
@AFP_Writer Ah, they are bombers that are made and have crew trained for torpedoes so... I thought they would be fitted with torpedoes eh.
Ah and also how would they explode if they just floated to the target on the ground?
@ILikeReading-ish I dismissed this idea already. It would be impossible to imagine. That is why Fuji used her TB with normal bombs 90% of time, Delight used torpedoes only a couple of times, and Kuronami is in a sea world.
@AFP_Writer I'm sorry I'm and not quick on the uptake and can't figure things out on my own. And sea world?
@ILikeReading-ish I mean, there is a lot of water surface, unlike in the other volumes.
@AFP_Writer Ah I see.
@AFP_Writer on the topic of kuronami on a sea world Will be sea ruins to explore or floating citys to interact or is just kuro and the shipcrew
@yokai1235 The latter mostly. It is just Arc 1 and I am yet to think of other content.
@AFP_Writer you could search for some sea legends for inspiration or maybe use some of the meta content to spice things up?
we kinda don't have a clear antagonist or a clear goal to drive the corrent story and the last
don't know if was intentional or not but you're making a good meta plot with each reincarnation and for me this is one of the things really like about this novel
@yokai1235 It is still Arc 1, and unlike the previous Arc 1s, this one has plot.
@yokai1235 I would find it interesting if something like the Bismark got isekai'd and they made a fleet or even battled it out. Would be fun but may ruin the story.
@ILikeReading-ish I have plot ideas for this one. Might even make it if I run out of SSs.
@AFP_Writer I see, that's something new to look forward to.
@ILikeReading-ish For now it's Fuji's SS, and then Iowa class' SS. And maybe French BB sisters' SS.
@AFP_Writer Which iowa class ship? Because there is 4 The Missouri, The Iowa, The Montana and the New Jersey
@AkashicRecords Who knows...
@AFP_Writer Just a guess here but it may be Iowa, just a guess don't take it for granted!
@ILikeReading-ish Im hoping its Missouri to be honest
@ILikeReading-ish Who knows...
@AFP_Writer You
@AkashicRecords Montana? I thought that ship has a class of it's own. And was never built cos WW2 ended. It's the Wisconsin you're looking for.
