Jun Yang gave his boyfriend’s offer serious consideration. At first glance, it indeed sounded like a brilliant idea. Having an exercise partner would greatly help with motivation, but at the same time, Jun Yang could see how having Feng Qi as said partner could easily go both ways. Feng Qi could provide exceptional driver or turn out to be an overwhelming distraction. With Jun Yang’s understanding of his boyfriend’s personality and tendency to do things, he had a scary feeling that it would turn out to be the latter.

As if sensing the suspicion in Jun Yang’s mind, Feng Qi raised one of his brows and asked in a challenging tone, “Why? You have such little faith in your boyfriend?”

The dead eye that Jun Yang leveled at Feng Qi answered that question perfectly. Feeling the judgment that was shot from Jun Yang’s eyes, Feng Qi chuckled good-naturedly and said, “Fine, you have a point there…” Then, he paused and said in an alluring tone, like the witch leading the innocent boy deep into the forest, “But consider this a counter-argument. Who else are you going to ask to accompany you on this training? Is there a better candidate than myself?”

Feng Qi knew where to hit Jun Yang’s soft spot, the latter had a weakness for logic-based argument. And Jun Yang had no choice but to admit that Feng Qi had a point.

Because if his memory served him right, during last year’s test, Feng Qi passed it with flying color, in fact, he was the best of their class. So if Jun Yang wanted to seek advice, there was no reason he should not do so from the best… which was Feng Qi’s point.

Jun Yang raised his head to look at his boyfriend and he could not help but note the small smirk on Feng Qi’s lips. There was definitely something brewing in his boyfriend’s mind. However, Jun Yang eventually came to terms with it. He sighed in submission, “Fine, you win. How about we meet up after school tomorrow to practice?”

At the end of the day, Feng Qi was his boyfriend and no matter the type of scheme that he might come up with, it was not going to be physically harmful to him. If anything… of course, Jun Yang would never admit this but a part of him was kinda looking forward to the teasing that he was sure would be involved somehow.

“Wonderful, then I’ll see you tomorrow!”

The students of Xing Ming Academy filed away after the last school bell of the day rang. As per their arrangement, Jun Yang stayed back to practice with Feng Qi. However, he did not go to the field where they’d promise to meet immediately but took a detour to the bathroom to change.

Therefore, when Jun Yang arrived at the scene in his designer label sportswear, Feng Qi was already there. The first thing Jun Yang did when he saw his boyfriend was to frown. This was because Feng Qi was wearing a pair of T-shirt and jeans, they were durable, yes but Jun Yang would not call them appropriate attire for sports.

When asked, Feng Qi explained, “I think I’m just going to coach you today, so I don’t think I’ll sweat much. Furthermore, I have a shift to catch later at Mist Café so this is more convenient.”

As much as Jun Yang felt sad that Feng Qi would not be exercising next to him, he understood his boyfriend’s predicament. Jun Yang understood that he was born into a luckier fate than Feng Qi did but he was not going to use that against him because it would have been incredibly unfair.

Jun Yang nodded and said, “Okay, we should get this over with and perhaps I can join you later at Miss M’s café.”

Feng Qi smiled. “That would be wonderful.”

They moved to a grassy spot that was in the shadows, shielded by the sports building. “This spot is comfortable enough,” Feng Qi went to grab a mat from the equipment room and laid it down on the ground. “Come on, assume the position.”

That same statement when said in a different context would have come with a completely different meaning, one that was not so appropriate to put into words here. In any case, for some reason, that was what Jun Yang was thinking of when he saw Feng Qi kneel next to the mat and gave him that order.

He quickly turned his head down to hide the red on his cheeks. Feng Qi was going to have a field day should he realize the things that were going through his mind. Jun Yang took in quick succession of deep breaths to keep himself calm. Then, he walked over to the mat and lied down.

He bent his legs at his knees and he felt Feng Qi curled his legs under and around the arc of his knees, locking them firmly to the ground.

Jun Yang looked up into the sunny sky and tried to not think about the fact that Feng Qi’s hands were placed on his knees, and they could easily slide down the gap between his legs if he was not careful. Jun Yang gulped and groaned internally, ‘My God, this is going to be a long day!’

Then Jun Yang heard Feng Qi say, “Okay, are you ready?” Perhaps Jun Yang had imagined it but he could have sworn he heard the hint of a smile in Feng Qi’s voice and he could not help but ponder what that represented. Perhaps he had seen thing that he should not have. Suddenly Jun Yang had the urge to shield his crotch area with his hands but that would have drawn even more unnecessary attention.

Jun Yang recited the Chinese Buddhist mantra in his mind to chase out the sinful thoughts. He was so deep into his recitation that he was quite shocked when he felt a poke on the side of his waist.

He opened his eyes to a confused Feng Qi looking at him. “Jun Yang, what are you doing?”
