This chapter is also a test for how russian language would look in the novel if it's adopted. It adds immersion because who said that  the otherworlders know a certain slavic language. If you want to correct my usage of russian words I suggest you to think twice.

“Erhm… what the hell happened… and why our captain was replaced with a little girl?”

Only after Jester’s weird phrase I realized that after we hit that bump I felt weird. I am… smaller than I should be, and my voice has changed.

Raz-raz. Do-re-mi-fa… Kakogo?!” [Test, test. Do-re-mi-fa... What the...?!] I was more than surprised by this voice. It is no doubt a girl’s voice.

My clothes remained military uniform but it became smaller, as if it changed with me. I touched myself and my body felt much… girlier?

Shut, ti vidish menya?” [Jester, do you see me?] I waved my hand to the poor guy.

“Da, tovarish… comandir?” [Yes, comrade... commander?] He was as surprised as was I

“Chego u was tam?” [Guys, what is going on there?] Old man stopped the tank and tried his best to squeeze through autoloader.

When I mustered to look down at my lower half I found that I am wearing a small skirt, with distinct green color.

When Old man finally squeezed into the turret he was surprised.

“A vidok-to nichego… Nogi hot’ somkni, bel’ye vidno.” [What a nice view... Close your legs, your pants are visible.] I almost reflectively tried hiding my pants and blushed.

“Oh*, vo krasneet! Pryam neporochnaya deva!” [Oh f*, she's blushing! Just like a pure maiden!] Jester tried changing the subject but that triggered me.

Zatkni e*!” [Shut up your f* mouth!] That was enough to make him to cover his head.

We were standing somewhere... and I have no idea where we are. I tried using the radio.

Shtab, shtab, ya Beril-Glavny, kak slishite, priem?” [HQ, HQ, this is Beril-Main, do you read me, over?]

The static noise was the only answer I got from the headquarters. None of our fellow crews responded as well, I also tried open frequency, set the radio to receive… it was dead in the water.

I decided to look around, I grabbed my favorite weapon, AKMS and looked out of the commander’s hatch like a gopher. We still were in a forest but… the road we were following… there was not a single sight of it.

Starik, ti uveren shto tut bila doroga?” [Old man, are you sure that there was a road?] I still wonder if we were following the right way.

“Uveren, wot mi e’hali pryam po kole’e’ i tut mi vo shto-to vrezalis’. A koleya ischezla!” [I am sure, we were driving straight on the track and then we hit something. And the track disappeared!] Old man is not an idiot, why would he lie right now…

I made the only logical choice.

Proverit’ snaryazhenie! Starik, glyan’ skolko topliva, Shut, ya hochu znat’ shto s boekomplektom! Oruzhie tozhe prigotov’te!” [Check the equipment! Old man, check how much fuel we have, Jester, I want to know what's up with the munitions! And prepare your weapons!] If something goes wrong I want to be sure we will not be dead.

If there would be a nuke hitting the town, I would’ve spotted the consequences. If we got lost, I would’ve found any radio signals. If we didn’t get into an unknown  s*, I wouldn’t have become a girl.

“Hey, kapitan, pochemu bi tebe ne povernutsa? Da, da, vot tak... VO!” [Hey, captain, why won't you turn? Yes, yes, just like that... Exactly!] Jester asked me another weird thing but I decided to follow the flow...

“Sis’ki prosto ulet!” [Those boobs are so awesome!] You…

Starik, ti znayesh kto budet tank mit’?” [Old man, do you know who will wash the tank?]

“Shut, tovarish kapitan!” [Jester, sir!]

Now that idiot’s grin turned into an expression of hopelessness… suits him well…

I ordered to continue moving forward and I hope we will find a main road and get back to the unit’s base.

But when we finally arrived to a road’s crossing it was another dirt road. While there might be such things I still wondered if something is actually wrong in here because I never saw such tracks before, they are too… shallow to belong to a car.

Dokladivayte.” [Report.]

“Dokladivayu, no deneg net!” [Adding more but no money left.] Jester kept inserting s* jokes but after I glared at him he said what I wanted.

“U nas 4 loma, 2 KS’a i 2 fugasnih. Patronov dlya PKM 1 zink [440 rounds] a dlya Korda ih prosto 0.” [We have 4 crowbars [Sabot rounds], 2 HEAT and 2 HE. 1 box of rounds for PKM and just 0 rounds for Kord.]

Starik?” [Old man?]

“Polniy bak. Eshyo dolgo prokatayemsya.” [A full fuel tank. We can drive for a long time.]

Each of our AK’s has 3 magazines so I was not concerned.

Another 30 minutes passed before we managed to get out of the forest but it was just a plain, no signs of proper civilization as well.

Sleduy po doroge, kogda-nibud’ priedem…” [Follow the road, someday we will arrive.] I decided that we should continue down the road in hope of finding some village where we can ask the way back to the town.

The tank’s diesel roared and we accelerated to the suitable 40 km/h.

I had to get to the Joker’s seat and seat on his laps to reach periscope. My seat is just too low and we have no time to change its height.

“Bla-go-dat’…” [What a blessing...] Jester was enjoying such development so I had to remind him.

Shut, ti ved’ ne zabil kto budet tank mit, verno?” [Jester, you didn't forget who washes the tank, didn't you?] I killed every bit of his joy to punish him.

While I should be worried about everything, right now I have to put my duties in front of the panic. Panicking time will be after we find people.
