As we approached the encampment, the allied flags entered my view. The patrolling soldiers were informed beforehand about the tank so we were not hindered.

“Stop.” The tank slowly stopped near one of the patrols.

“Where is the commanding officer?”

“Why do you care, kid?” One of the soldiers was mocking me without even using his brain.

“Listen, you punk, I have no time to waste on this place so could you please tell me already.” I am getting tired of being treated with such an attitude.

“Go cry to your mommy, brat! This is army!” The stupid soldier started laughing at me but the one who has a bigger gun always laughs the last.

I climbed out and went down to face the soldiers.

“What? Wanna sell your body~? Ha-ha-ha!” I did not answer anything. I only kicked his knee and before he understood what happened I hit his abdomen with my elbow before finishing him with a knee to the groin.

“Uff… Well, you can’t drink away the talent, am I right?” I asked Jester.

“Yes… ‘This must’ve been painful…’ (J)

“Alright, you slugs, can anybody tell me WHERE THE F* IS YOUR COMMANDER?! I HAVE TO TALK TO HIM. WHO THE F* WAS TRAINING YOU TO BE…” I began a gentle instruction of what they did wrong.

Ten minutes later a man in a heavy armor ran to me.

“Can you stop lecturing my men?!” He was furious when he heard some of the affectionate words I used.

“Your men…?” I gave him a side glance.

“I am the commander of this army. Do you not think you should report to me first?!” (C)

“Oh, so those cretins are under your command…? Good, very-very good.”

‘He’s so dead…’ Jester shut himself inside just after a single glance.

“Do you think you can do whatever you want here?!” (C)

“Silence.”

“W-w-w-w…!” (C)

“Shut up. Lead us to the headquarters. We two will have a short talk there, without skipping any pleasantries.” The man shivered and turned around like a puppet.

“Old man, follow me.”

‘wrrRUUUuuum’

“Beril-Main, come in.” The radio started speaking Ether’s voice.

“What is it, Ether?”

“Whou, whou! Easy there! I just have some good news for you. Willing to hear them?” (E)

“Go ahead.”

“So, after all that you’ve done you get new options for support. The supply was increased to 300 kg of cargo. Also, you now have access to call for artillery support. Callsign of 152 mm artillery is “Napalm”. Just don’t approach your target too close. I am done here, good luck!” (E)

While we were going I kept my eyes open to find a good place to park the vehicle. Some of the places were nice, some were not. Those two should not be desperate to sleep so I skipped some options.

Some nice rocks, the tracks should not sink there.

“W-what is your business here? Tomorrow we will continue marching.” The officer looked at me.

“Good. We will need some supplies, mostly food. Also, we need maps and information about the disposition of friendly troops. You don’t want to be mistaken as our enemies...” The tank gun jumped up when the machine hit a bump.

I barely hear the diesel. If you can talk with a tank behind your backs then either it is turned off, or the driver knows his job well.

“Old man, nice job driving. I barely hear the engine roaring.”

“Thank you for appreciating my handiwork.” (O)

After 10 minutes of walking we reached a tent. Near it was a nice flat spot.

“Tank, turn left. Park it at that spot.”

“Understood.” (O)

‘wwRUUUm’

The tank slowly climbed out of the track and drove to the spot.

“Forward. Keep going. Keep going.” I shouted into the radio.

“Now get out and look what the f* you did.” (J)

“Shut up, Jester. Keep going. Halt!”

‘wrTTT’

“Good job. You two, set up the camp. Jester, as our greatest source of irritation, you are the first to keep watch.”

“That’s affirmative…” (J)

I turned around and saw that the officer was standing there like a statue.

“What the f* are you waiting for? Without me leading you by the hand you will not find the tent? Or you forgot how to f* walk?” Now he finally entered the tent.

‘Whistle’

“Old man, check our supplies and write down everything we would need.” I handed him the notebook for supplies and finally went for briefing.

“So, should I repeat what we need?” Seeing the officer standing by a table I just had to check if he is a stupid failure of an officer. I just wonder if he has some gut.

“The maps are all here. Take a look. Here are the allied positions. The messenger said that a huge metal thing will need to go here, to the north of the city. There should be no allied forces other than in the village a few miles away. Those are our vanguard forces.” (C)

“Wow, it appears you are not as stupid as I thought you are. Why you were so slow before?”

“Khh… Like I ever saw a damned girl leadi…”

BANG

“DO. NOT. EVER. CALL. ME. GIRL.”

“That is what is so confusing. Just what you are?” (C)

“Hey, captain…” (J)

Jester’s POV

Wow, she really is petrified… Commander.exe stopped working.

“Hey! Captain! Earth calls the captain!”

“Hey! This is really creepy, wake up!” I started shaking her but she is still frozen.

“Girl! Commander is a girl! Look, she’s a girl!”

“Welcome back to the reality. Also, get that thing away from my eye, pretty please…?”
