“My intuition is screaming – ‘Ambush’.”

“Mine as well.” Dima approached the door and accurately tried to open it.

Screeech

When he saw it opening, he smiled at me with the most mischievous smile he had. That little bastard.

Sorry for the wait~!” (J)

Plop

What’s that?’ Sounded from behind the door.

You little~…

BOOM

Go! Go! Go!

Tra-ta-ta

Tra-ta-ta

We finished the survivors and continued forward.

Stop them!” An enemy soldier cried.

Stop this, b*!” (J)

Bang Bang

Know the place [to joke]!

Fi…” (J)

Bang Bang

…ne.” (J)

When we reached some sort of a main entrance I shouted.

Barricade all entrances! We will leave the 1st floor to you!

We found a stairway to the 2nd floor. There were two corridors: to the left and to the right.

Bang

I took down one of the guards, and crouched at the top of the stairs.

‘Go to the left. I am covering.’

‘Roger.’ (J)

We exchanged gestures.

‘Go.’ (J)

I stopped in front of the first door and kick-opened it.

Bang

The room was empty.

‘Clean. Go.’

After Dima took position on overwatch of the corridors, I continued moving.

Bang

AAAAARGH!!!

Ping

I barely blocked a sword with the rifle.

Bang Bang

‘Thank you.’

I looked into the room. Now everything was nice and empty.

The third room was opened the same way but I was met by dead silence.

The final room of this wing was opened and…

Phew

PING

When an arrow hit my chest and was stopped by the armor vest, I fell down but before the f*er could pull the string again, his head became emptier.

His pals s* themselves and surrendered. We guided them towards the first floor, and started clearing the right wing.

There was only one room.

We positioned ourselves by the sides of a double door.

‘Nod.’

‘Nod.’ (J)

BANG

Tra-ta-ta

Tra-ta-ta

A couple of enemies were killed, and while the other were shocked, we downed a few more. The rest of the enemies surrendered.

I left Dima in the room, to oversee the street.

Shatter

Which he started doing by breaking a window.

After I passed the POWs to the allies, I asked.

What’s the status?

What?

STATUS. Report, and do it faster!

The prison is ours! The rebel leaders were found alive but they are beaten into pulp.” The soldiers cried out everything. I felt like I am close to the commander’s voice.

Barricade every entrance, that can be accessed from outside. Send a couple of the weakest men to deliver the rebels back!

Sir, yes Sir!” The soldiers rushed to deliver the orders while I returned to the second floor.

“Dima, we are in s*.”

Don’t tell it to me until you look outside.” (J)

I peeked into the window from behind the wall.

We are not alone…

Bang Bang

Bang

We fired more and more shots at the enemy troops that kept on rushing towards the prison.

The initial assault was drowned in blood but it costed us several magazines.

After seeing our power, the enemy stopped mindlessly throwing the soldiers into the meat grinder. The enemy was attacking from several directions and tried to cover themselves with their shields.

Bang Bang

Our two rifles were barely enough to cause them any issues. There were just way too many enemies.

Dima, if they break through – retreat with the rest of the squad! I will stall them for as long as I can!

Stop those defeatist sentiments! I’d rather wait for a miracle, than just retreat!” (J)

That’s my boy!

Bang Bang Bang

I shot another enemy.

Dima was covering the left flank, I was covering the right flank. We both were in the same room, since it facilitated coordination.

Bang Bang Bang

Bang Bang Bang

After another assault began, we fired four more magazines. The enemy was stopped again.

Sir!” The ally liaison soldier rushed into the room.

What is it?

We found a number of bows and arrows. The others want to use them.

Good idea. We need good shooters here, just don’t jeopardize the barricades!

Right before the next assault began, four soldiers with bows arrived.

Holy s*…” (J)

The street was flooded with the enemy soldiers. Seeing that they couldn’t push with smart tactics, they decided to use overwhelming numbers.

Click

Here we go…’ (J)

Tra-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta

Tra-ta-ta-ta-ta

Fwoosh

Fwoosh

Tra-ta-ta-ta

When I once again peeked to shoot, I heard a whistle and quickly hid my head.

Phew

An arrow flashed right where I was.

Not good!
