It was 10 o’clock when I noticed something abnormal.

A large group of soldiers appeared in the distance. It was hard to see their coats of arms, so I held fire.

The group was becoming larger with every passing moment. I entered the war room and saw that they all are green.

Wake up! We’ve got allies on approach!

Seriously?” (O)

The army marched directly to the camp. It didn’t look like they are in combat formations.

Of course, a few minutes later the enemy was right in place.

Firing!

BOOM

I fired at the camp. Only then the allies stopped, and started regrouping.

The allied forces were met by archers’ shooting, and took some casualties.

Despite me firing the machine gun non-stop, the archers were dealing large damage to the allies.

The enemy also opened the gates, and sortied cavalry. The cavalry galloped out of the camp, and would reach the allies in a minute.

BOOM

Suddenly, after another hit, the enemy withdrew from the walls, and the cavalrymen dismounted. I stopped firing, just in case.

5 minutes later the enemy holstered white flag above the camp.

After the allied forces entered the camp and fully occupied it, I decided it is the time to head to the capital.

Old man, let’s go. Right, 70. Forward.

With the allies’ arrival the situation changed. I no longer needed to be causing noise, I needed to clear the path ASAP.

Where exactly are we going?” (O)

Do you remember that road that went all the way to the capital? I think we better stick to it.

Are you sure?” (O)

Yes.

“As you say, Captain.” (O)

When we reached the road, the tank finally headed to the capital. In a day we should reach a fortress, and after we pass it, the way to the capital will be clear.

Valencio claimed that the fortress has good defenses but is small. It may even be compromised after being sieged.

When we left the plains, and entered the forests around the capital, it started to rain. We had to slow down because the road turned into a mess.

At best it will result in falling behind the schedule, at worst it is a good opportunity for ambush.

When it was already evening, the rain became stronger.

Can I turn on the lights? I can’t see s*.” (O)

Go ahead…

The poor visibility, coupled with poor weather conditions, and multiplied by the frontline dangers. In short, we are blind.

We continued driving forward for hours, until I saw something ahead of us.

Halt!

BUM

We all almost crashed into metal and optics but at least we stopped in a distance from an object.

I tried looking through any kind of sights but even HPC [hydropneumatic cleaning of optics] could only give a glimpse through the water.

Zae*.” [F* great.]

I agree wholeheartedly.” (J)

Since we have no options for now, we might as well keep moving.

Forward. Slowly.

The tank slowly moved.

With every meter passed, the object appeared to be larger and larger, until I saw the driving lights of the tank light up something.

F*.” Old man stopped the tank, and we saw a large wooden door in front of us.

Wow.

I have a bad feeling…” (J)

Back.” I ordered to back away, before somebody pours boiling oil on our heads.

“A Molotov a day keep the tank away.” (J)

SHUT THE F* UP!

Pom

Ping

Pom

When we backed away, the people on the wall started throwing something at us. They stopped only after we disappeared further in the rain.

Great. We drove right into the f* fortress.

Good job, Captain.” (O)

SHUT THE F* UP!

Shut your mouth and open your eyes. That would be times better!” (O)

Oh, really?! How come YOU didn’t see a f* stone wall right in front of your f* eyes?!

COME HERE, AND LOOK THROUGH THIS F* C*T!” (O)

Hey, guys!” (J)

SHUT THE F* UP!

We continued bickering back and forth until the f* morning.

Only when the rain started growing weaker we could properly see the fortress.

It was not the largest object in the world but it would be more than enough to stall the advance of the allies.

We should do something about that thing.

Something like…?” (J)

Let’s kick them out. We don’t have much time to waste.

“Good idea.” (J)
