The cocky guard, Brian, walked away with his hands behind his back like an expert heading out to confront the world.

Nick was at a loss for a moment but quickly regained his bearing as he turned to the other guard with a smile and started walking towards him in agitation as well.

"Good, you have passed the test! You didn't show an ounce of jealousy when you heard about your friend's talent, and instead quietly stood guard, ever loyal, and faithfully to the Ronald family.

"Your friend had betrayed the family, thinking he had the Ultimate unrivaled revered muscle head physique, but little did he know that it was the silent person beside him that really had it!

"Talent without mental fortitude is useless, and you showed that even if your friend could relay on a special physique, you still had the confidence to surpass him using hard work.

"And besides, even if one processed this extremely awesome physique, it isn't the kind to be unlocked using age but instead requires a secret technique in the Elder’s possession.

"May I ask your name, humble guard?" Nick said thick-skinned. He was cursing the two siblings for making a plan so stupid. Seriously, how did they even figure this would work?!

But, Nick had no other choice than to try, he didn't want to clumsily walk around the mansion lest they encounter the family head and bring unnecessary trouble to themselves.

"My name is Travis sir." Travis was utterly confused, one minute his friend was said to have a god-level talent, while in the next it all just became a test made to test his mental fortitude?

But he didn't doubt what Nick said for one second, because this wasn't the first time this kind of thing happened to him.

Travis was never ambitious, all his life he had only cultivated on Saturdays to make sure he enjoyed himself the rest of the week.

One time he had walked into the forest to catch dinner for himself when he encountered the Legendary sword immortal, who was adamant in taking him in as a disciple, apparently enthralled by Travis’s hidden talent.

But Travis outright refused. He felt it would be annoying to travel around carrying a sword everywhere, how would he ever find a wife if he did that?

Another time he was randomly giving out some change to a group of beggars on the street to accumulate good karma, but one of them suddenly grabbed his hand and questioned his reason for such a kind act, after which, Travis told the beggar his reasons.

Who knew that that person would turn out to be the Legendary Humble immortal, who had a deep love for the common people?! So, the Immortal then invited Travis to be his disciple seeing how kind he was, but was rejected as well.

Travis was getting annoyed by this point. Why do these people not stay in their immortal mountains as depicted in legends?! Why did they have to keep trying to trick and bother him wherever he went?!

He just wanted to be ordinary, that was his true goal. Why did the heavens have to bless him with extraordinary talent? Why didn't they bless him with extraordinary looks instead, now that was a blessing worth celebrating, with extraordinary looks he wouldn’t have trouble finding himself a good looking wife, right?

"Sir, I just want to be ordinary, that is my way, I am sorry that I can't accept your request."

Nick now started doubting his abilities, didn't he destroy armies of lawyers using only a few words in his last life, wasn't he proud of his talent to manipulate common sense? Well, now he met two people that don’t manipulate common sense, but destroy it instead! Maybe this is what they meant when they said there's always a natural predator for everything.

Mike couldn't stand it anymore! The cloak was super itchy, and standing around in the sun wasn’t making it any better. So, he directly went inside knowing that they had been defeated by a couple of mundane entrance guards. How can a plan work when you were facing against crazy people?!

Nick and Lily quickly caught up and followed behind without a word.

As soon as they passed the entrance they started looking around to inspect the place, this was after all the residence of the richest family in the city. They couldn't help being slightly curious.

They passed by the patrol guards uninhibited into the building, and what filled their sights was, fur, fur, and more fur. Animal skin was spewed everywhere as decoration.

Nick couldn't help but think, that if any of those Animal activists were to see this, even the most determined one among them would have given up! Seriously, what did animals ever do to these people, you even have a stuffed chicken mounted on a pedestal?! Are you bragging you killed a chicken?

Every chicken in the world would have been mad if they knew what Nick was thinking, what did he mean, did he consider them easy to kill, we'll peck you to death!

Nick and the rest walked around every floor, but they failed to find the vault.

Finally, Lily walked up to one of the maids and asked. "Who is in charge of cleaning the vault around here?!"

The maids were startled, especially when they saw the Elder standing behind Lily.

"N..no one cleans that place since its off-limits, miss."The maid replied stuttering the whole time.

"Oh, no wonder that place is filthy, follow me and you will start cleaning right away. You people are worthless!" Lily said in a commanding tone.

But then Nick interjected.

"How could you be so harsh to this innocent lady when it was your fault that caused this whole mess!" Nick sounded furious.

"Sorry, sir sorry!" Lily bowed as she apologized.

Nick sighed like a benevolent young master and said, "Madam, could we trouble you in helping us clean the place?"

"It would be my pleasure, sir." The maid was extremely flattered. What an upright young man.

"After you, Madam." Nick said while gesturing with his hand for her to lead the way. Now the maid would lead them to the vault with gratitude in her heart.

"Thank you, sir" The maid was over the moon with happiness and looked at Lily with scorn. Humph, so what if you are young?! Even if you wear a veil to hide your appearance to act mysterious, the young master still put you in your place and doesn’t like you.

The maid then gladly led the way. Lily couldn't help but approve of Nick's methods, his plan was simple and had worked like a charm, unlike their miserable plan which had ended up making Nick look like a dumbass.

After many twists and turns, the group finally arrived at a rundown door. They had previously seen this door but had assumed it was the guards' room or the maids' room so they didn’t bother checking it out.

They were amazed by the Ronald family's ingenuity. Nick repeatedly reminded himself that from now on he should be extra thorough.

But then the maid said," If you don't mind young sir, I will first go in here and get my cleaning supplies." Then the maid went into the rundown place and rolled out a cart filled with mops and rags. So, this was really the cleaning supply room…

Nick was enraged, use the mop to clean your personality lady, how could you trick us like this.

"These are not necessary since you won't be cleaning today. We will just be showing you what to clean and what not to touch for the future." Nick calmed himself down and had the lady return the cleaning supplies to her room.

The maid nodded and started leading them towards the actual vault after pushing the cart back into the rundown room.

The group then arrived in front of a random wall with two guards standing in front of it. They had passed by here before and had thought these guards were just stationed to guard the hallway.

The maid strutted up to the two guards and said in a commanding tone."Can’t you see Elder John is here? Quickly, open the vault!"

The two guards quivered when they saw Elder John was there, but they wondered who these other people were.

"Open it!" Mike ordered in John's voice.

"Yes sir!" The two guards said in unison and started to remove the wallpaper, revealing a golden door behind it.

Nick was a little disappointed, he had expected there to be a button that would open the walls and reveal the vault inside, but apparently, these kinds of things only happened in movies.

After the vault was opened by the two guards Mike nodded at them in approval and walked inside, and Nick, Lily, and the maid followed closely behind him. Once they entered the vault, what greeted them was mountains of spirit stones and gold, weapons of every kind, books, and a myriad of different herbs each having different uses.

"Which of these things should I clean, young sir?"The maid asked Nick, she talked to him because she wasn’t fond of Lily, and Elder John scared her too much.

"Oh...nothing this place looks clean enough. I don't know what this crazy woman was talking about earlier, you can go now!"Nick just wanted to start robbing already, this place looked like heaven to him. So he placed the blame on Lily and shoed the maid away.

"O...ok sir!" The maid was slightly angry at Lily for making up nonsense, but she didn't voice it out as she quietly left.

As soon as the maid left, Mike ordered the two guards to close the vault. Then Nick and the others quickly ran to the different sides of the vault giggling at all the treasures like little kids. Nick in particular ran over and hugged a batch of spirit stones and started tap dancing.

But suddenly, the purple dragon surging in his Energy center opened its mouth to reveal a dark vortex as it started swallowing the energy from the Spirit stones in Nick's hands.

The spirit stones soon turned to dust in seconds and violent beeps resounded in Nick's head.
