Loading the boxes inside the car as he was talking. Inside each box was either clothes or my toys
"OH, REALLY?, Then who was it? you who is always flirting with that brat"<Mother>
She was holding a cigarette on one of her hands and lean on the car.
"Woman, don't just stand there and help me put the boxes inside the car"<Father>
I pet Rubbert. Each time that I threw the ball he would bring it. The ball cover from his slobber. He look at me with expectations. Running after the ball, he would bring me the ball.Wagging his tail while he waits for me throw the ball. Sitting on the ground, I lay my head on his yellow fur and close my eyes.
(I am going to get yell again)<Williams>
(Ugh, What is this sound?)<Williams>
It sound like an eagle that would come on in the animal channels. It did not sound like the chirps of the small birds, but something much bigger. It was loud, but I did not feel any fear.
Opening my eyes I could see a completely white eagle. Its yellow beak look as tough as steel. The white feathers gleam under the moonlight. It's talons pierce the window frame.
A gentle warm embrace me. All my worry banaish.
*knock ,knock
"Breakfast is ready"<Cat_lady>
Covering my eyes from the sunlight. The white eagle rested on the bed. It was on the same place rubbert supposed to be. In a frantic rush I search for Rubbert.
'Did it ate Rubbert?'<Williams>
Leaning it's head to the left the eagle look at me trying to figure out what was wrong.
Cautiously I tried to approach it. Slowly extending my hand
"Rubbert?"<Williams>
He nodded once to my question.I threw myself at Rubbert.I hug him. A river of tears move down my cheeks. My snod prevented me from breathing thru my nose.
"I....I.... I was so worry that you might die. Please, don't do that again."<Williams>
Rubbert squirm from my hug. Eventually Rubbert gave up. Extending both of his wings he hug me.
(Warm)<Williams>
After cleaning my snot and tears I got up. With a head gesture Rubbert told me to pick up his feathers. Rubbert move his head around looking for something.
"Are you looking for the storage bag? I trade it"<Williams>
*skreeeeeaghh!
"Hey, you don't have to be so loud"<Williams>
Flapping and stopping his talons of the bed made his emotions very clear. The wide span of his white wings was bigger than the bed. His talons puncture holes on the bed.
"I am sorry. I did not have a choice. I just did not want to lose you"<Williams>
Explaining everything to Rubbert seems to have calm him down. He put his head down and then look at me. Rubbert patted me with one of his wings.
*skreeeeeaghh
*Growl
The sound came from the Rubbert's belly. Turning into a white ball, Rubbert size shrank. His shape was slowly changing back the way he used to look like.
*Growl
"Are you hungry Rubbert? Then let's go eat breakfast"<Williams>
*Chirp!, Chirp!
All the way from the inn's entrance to the inside of my room there are red footprints.
"Hey, come over here"<Cat_Lady>
The cat lady gesture at me with her dark paw to come over there.
"You had me worrying yesterday. Why were you in such a hurry yesterday? and Why are there blood footprints on the floor?"<Cat_Lady>
Her eyes prying the answers from me. Explaining everything that happen to her. The angry expression of in her faces lessen. In mid sentence Rubbert stop me from metionning the storage bag.
".... I trade a shining crystal stone. It...was an heirloom pass down thru generations"<Williams>
Looking down to the floor,I avoided her gazed. I play with my with my fingers. A strange sensation in my heart move. A ball move up and down my throat.
(Is it alright for me to lie?)<Williams>
"Sight, that does not matter right now. What matter is that you are alright"<Cat_lady>
I nodded with my head.
"Just be careful next time. You are to young to die . Do you know what was following you? Rats!,they probably be the height of you knees. The problem is not the size, but they always come in packs. They have reproduce quite ridiculously. I heard that every back alley has at least a pack by now.Adventures took care of them, but the city officials have not put any quest lately . I recommend that you stay away from from alleyways and dark places"<Cat_lady>
After having a good breakfast, I headed to the front gates.
"Uh, What is it Rubbert?"<Williams>
Trying to find something Rubbert circle around me. After inspecting me, Rubbert landed on my shoulder.
*Chirp!!,chirp!, chirp,chirp
Frantically pointing at the gate and me.
"What is Rubbet? Does it have something to do with the gate and me?"<Williams>
Nodding Rubbert turn around and pointed at the direction of the guild.
"The guild? Hmp! My adventurer license!. Where is it?"<Williams>
I tried to search on my non-existent pants pockets.
"Oh yeah, I left it on the storage bag"<Williams>
Rubbert karate chop my head with his wing.
"Hey!, Well it is not fault that I left it there. I was in a hurry."<Williams>
Flying on the sky Rubbert search for the sign of the old lady store.In matter of minutes Rubbert found the way there.Walking from the gate to the old lady shop, Rubbert stop me from entering any alleyway.
Near the convenience store, with the moon sign, blood splatter everywhere. People cleaning their house. A horrible smell stay on the street.
"This going to take ages"<Woman>
"I know right! I have being cleaning this spot for hours. If I find whomever is responsible for this I will give them a piece of my mind"<Woman 2>
"Mom, I am tired!. This won't go away"<Girl>
The girl pressing with the broom on the floor, but the stain was still there.
"Continue cleaning or the smell of blood will attract more rats "<Woman>
Entering the shop, I waited for the old lady to finish talking with the customer.
"Oh, if it isn't the kid from yesterday. What business do you have with me?"<Williams>
"I am sorry to keep bothering your, but Are you willing to trade the things inside the storage bag with me? Um, you see my adventure guild card is inside of it"<Williams>
"Show me what you have kid"<Old_Lady>
Leaning on the counter she stares at me. She glance at me and her eyes set sight on the feathers.
I was about to place the feathers on the table,but I was stop by Rubbert wing. He grab one of the feathers and place it on the counter
"A feather?Hmm..."<Old_Lady>
She grab the feather with perplex expresion. Grabbing the molecule on her right, she closely look at the feather. Her eyes widen.
"Okay, Here you go kid. Take out the things inside the bag"<Old_Lady>
The storage bag made small thud while it hit the woodend counter. I place all the coins and everything thing else to the side of the counter
"Hey, Kid are you willing to sell all those feathers? I will discount you five gold coins that you own me"<Old_Lady>
Rubber shook his head at the prices given to his feathers.
"It seems your friend over here is not satisfied with the offer. Listen here, I am already offering a lot for just some feathers"<Old_lady>
*Chirps!
I could see sparks flying between those two. Rubbert pick another feather and made it glow. The eyes of old lady widen to the size of a food plate. Gripping her hands, The old lady regain her composure.
"Okay,okay, I will give you 6 gold coins"<Old_lady>
Rubbert signal me to get out of the store.
"Wait!, You are twisting my arm. I will give you 7 gold coins! That is my final offer"<Old_Lady>
Rubber nodded with satisfaction.
"Okay"<Williams>
Placing all the feathers on the counter, the old lady grab them. With a wide grin the old lady check every feather
"Oh, Here take this kid. You will need something to put your things"<Old_Lady>
Placing a brown leather belt with a bag. I put the belt and all things inside of it.
"Thank you"<Williams>
"Kid come again. If you find anything interesting bring it to me. I will take out of your hands"<Old_Lady>
"Okay"<Williams>
Waving at the old lady, I head down to the gate again. It was already noon went I arrive at the gate. A rush of people were coming out and in the gate. I slowly made my way out of gate. When the guard saw my guild identification he was shock.
Grass extend as far the eye could see. Trees were sprinkle in, but they were few and far in between. Most grass patches where touching the leaves of the trees. Rabbits, dogs, giant insects and other monsters roam around.
On the hunt, Adventures move to their prey . Screams, explosions, and sometimes swings could be heard. After the monster die it would turn into light sometimes leaving an object.
"Okay, time to search for the flower"<Williams>
