This was added to the prior chapter after it was edited. I didn't remove it due to the comments I wished to preserve
52
I'm of two minds about her trying to protect herself when she has an ability like that. Either she tells no one and tells to keep it hidden forever, or she should very loudly tell the whole kingdom so that everyone knows and if she suddenly vanishes multiple groups will have reason to look for her.
Not a horrible idea
In my opinion the first one is a definite Yes, but the Second one can also backfire, as if someone would want to gain power they could do two things:
A) Firstly, kindnap her for her power despite any risks (possible)
B) Secondly, kill her to frame your enemy and set other groops and the populace (angry mob) after them.
Hmm should she ask help from the clergy, they did got of the wrong foot, but if Alice play her cards right she might benefit more than she looses.
That was a rather dumb move to use an ability like that in such a public place. I understand that her bleeding heart wants to save that child but as some point self preservation has to kick in.
Honestly even with what she’s been through, I don’t think Alice understands the level of danger she’s in. Remember in the back of her head this is all a game not real life. Plus she’s not realized the amount of enemies she had or the amount of people interested in using her. I believe her reactions are pretty legit though. I could see myself doing a lot of the same in her situation. But say I was in MCU or Naruto or any mainstream fantasy media I’ve watched and you’d see a whole different attitude. I know that there are hidden dangers that are probably aware of me before I’ve even done anything in Alice’s case when you play a character in a game you don’t wonder if your suspicious or stand out because you doubt the consequences.
Some quick edits:
stretched and went to meet my friend. -> friends.(?)
They were most male beastmen. -> mostly
the ‘Dragon’s tail’ of the map. -> (didn't she call it a lizard last time?)
I could move close enough to cast anything -> couldn't(?)
(f*cking hell, what are you doing Alice? You already know resurrection is impossible for anyone else, why are you doing it in the middle of a crowd for someone you've never met before!? How long till her class changes to "Angel of idiocy"? Maybe one of the Gods will take pity on her and give her +50 intelligence, cuz she clearly needs it.) (OK, I can see her thinking of this all as just a game still, but she can't log out and rape and torture are still on the table here. I blame her low int stat.)
I guess I was right thinking that she should have gone for that "common sense" perk back when she had the choice.
Thanks for the chapter!~
Yeah, I’m kinda of the same opinion as others, as cruel as it may be saving the life of some random child and risking what she is trying to hide is not worth it in terms of self preservation.
TYFC I wish you all a good day ....
Im half a mind of the opinion that she should had left the child dead... a bit cold but sh*t happens and if more people start having ”accidents” just to confirm her abilities she will eventually run out of times she can res a day and the number of dead will most likely be a lot higher... But I understand that in this case her body acted before she knew what she was doing, but it’s something to think about for the future regarding what policy she should uphold regarding when to use it.....
Thanks for the chapter
Unlike the people of Udros, their women did not hide. Instead they stood tall and proud as if challenging anybody willing to cause trouble to come at them. Their stature was usually enough for people not to bother them but for those that didn't think women could beat them, their mounts were enough to scare off most others. A giant wolf stood beside every woman. They had a wild bloodthirsty look and a vicious gaze. So no matter how exotic or pretty they were very few men would bother them.
Did Alice finds something of a role model , these Ickrana seem like viking, while not champions of monogamy with all the raiding and wife stealing, cheating was frowned upon in the culture.
""In Viking society, infidelity was a serious crime and could often lead to fines, imprisonment, or in extreme cases execution""
XD wow
This is why I am in favor of her advancing her magic. Eventually she might gain something to cause amnesia. Or she could attempt to formulate herself as a living Saint by using her druid powers to make it seem like life itself obeys her. (Probably be awhile before that can be possible though)
