Dark clouds loomed over the skies, with thunder echoing along the fortress city, as lightning rained upon the city’s streets. Lightning wasn’t the only thing raining upon the streets. Fire, Wind, Earth, and Ice also fell on the streets, destroying part of buildings, as well as the stalls, even killing some of the citizens.

 “Sorry, man.”

 Meanwhile, Kenji, on top of Fujin, kept avoiding all the spells launched at him. Changing his altitude, swaying to the left or right, using Shockwaves to either deflect, or completely nullify the spells. Sometimes, he used Fujin, by disconnecting the straps on his feet, and spinning Fujin’s board to deflect the spells away.

 “Who do you think you are?!” Shouted Victor. “I WAS BLESSED BY THE GODS! I AM-!”

 Before Victor could finish his phrase, he collided with a building. He failed to notice the sharp turn to the right that Kenji made.

 “Hunh. Maybe the gods forgot to give you the blessings to make sharp turns to the right.”

 “RAAAAAAAH!”

 “Oh boy. Woah! Sheesh!”

 From the rubble of the now destroyed second floor of the building, Victor shouted and fired spells at Kenji once more, and continued his chase.

 “Man… Can you lose that energy already? It’s getting annoying.”

 “I WILL KILL YOU!”

 “Come, come, friend.”

 Flying through another building being destroyed by the spells from Victor, Kenji maneuvered and avoided the debris, but the covers were falling apart as he flew through the city.

 “Dude, isn’t this your city? How’re you gonna deal with that?”

 “SILENCE!”

 “Fuck… He’s not gonna lose that energy so soon…” Kenji murmured as he passed through the destroyed gate. “I need to stall him out… Maybe…”

 Pouring more mana into Fujin, the turbines on the back, fired up strongly, shooting him through the skies ahead.

 “Doing curves are getting harder, but…” He looked behind him swiftly. “He’s going through the buildings… Alright.”

 Getting right at the city’s entrance, Kenji jumped down, and put Fujin right behind him.

 “Alright then. You’re fast… Let’s see if you can avoid Strafe’s bullet.” Taking Strafe out, Kenji started to pour Mana into it, producing a sizzling sound. “Come on, baby… Come on!”

 The sound resounding on his ears, and the trembling on his hands, Kenji saw Victor at around 300 meters (roughly 328 yards) away, he started grinning, and pulled the trigger.

 KRAKOOOOM!

 The bullet augmented by the lightning core produced a thunderous sound, as it pierced through the air. And when Victor saw the bullet coming out of the chamber, he could not avoid it in time.

 “I-”

 "BOOYEAH MOTHERFUCKER!"

 Before he could even feel the pain, much less shout it out, the bullet had already blown up his head, and part of his neck. Since his body was hit against a strong force, it spun around in the air, falling on the ground, and turning over and over, until it passed Kenji.

 “If that was all it took to take you down, I’m really gonna be disappointed.”

 Storing Strafe away, and getting on top of Fujin, Kenji said that, and flew up above the city, but kept an eye on Victor, and just as he expected, the body staggered to get on his feet, and the head regenerated. As for Victor, he had his eyes bloodshot and wide for Kenji to see.

 In the air, Kenji taunted Victor, motioning with his hand, and Victor, with his pride hurt, flew towards him. However, different from when Kenji would run away, he stood still with Fujin. 

 “What is it now? Why’s he not running away?” Thought Victor.

 As Victor approached, Kenji disconnected the straps on his feet once again, and jumped above Victor, who tried to turn around quickly to grab him. Instead, Kenji activated the electric grappling hooks from his gauntlets, and pulled himself towards Victor.

 “GOING DOWN!”

 As he got pulled towards Victor, both were now in a free fall, as the 2 wrestled to see who would be on top of the other. And unfortunately for Kenji, that was Victor.

 “FOOLISH!”

 BOOM!

 The 2 fell right in the fortress, where people were battling. Many were still fighting, but some were able to look towards the situation. Victor with his boot on top of Kenji’s face.

 “Fuck…” 

 CRACK!

 “Your equipment is very durable… and annoying.”

 “Urgh!”

 “But you canno-!”

 BLAM!

 “Ah! What? What just-Ok.”

 At the sudden stopping of Victor’s speech, Kenji tried to assess what just happened. To his, and to the one’s around, surprise, Ayla had just torn a pillar from its position, and used it as a bat to send Victor towards the fortress.

 “Thank me later.”

 “Uh, sure.”

 Ayla, angry for some reason, said that as she tossed the pillar away, and jumped towards the fortress.

 “Man, she sure is angry.”

 “Kenji!”

 “Yeah?”

 Struggling to get up, he got up and Vermivia called him.

 “We have a problem!”

 “Another one? Urgh!”

 Cracking his back, he looked annoyed.

 “Wasn’t Victor supposed to be out of energy?” Vermivia asked.

 “Yeah? I’ve been trying to deplete his energy, but what the fuck is going on?”

 “There’s another gate.”

 “Excuse me?” His left eye twitched.

 “It’s a smaller one, where most of these things are coming from! It’s in the warehouse! One of the scouts I’ve sent, found it.”

 “Haaaa… Where the hell is it?”

 “Can’t you see it?”

 Kenji asked just to be sure, but it was really easy. The basement… As his left eye scanned the passageway from where the monsters were coming from, finding another gate.

 “What?!”

 “Something’s wrong?”

 “How the fuck did she move out of there?! No wait… How the fuck is she still even alive?!”

 “Who? What did you find?!”

 “Your mommy. She’s the one providing passageway to these monsters!”

 “Ah!”

 Vermivia looked down, in sadness. Kenji, on the other hand, had other plans.

 “Time to bring IT, out.”

 “Kenji…”

 “Your mother choose her path, don’t look at me like that.”

 Vermivia looked at Kenji for some kind of comfort, but right now, he wasn’t having it.

 “Lucy! Kasumi! I’ll need the help of you 2!”

 “Master!”

 “At once!”

 “What about me?!”

 “Stay here, Amara. You’ll be helping outside! Lucy, I’m sorry for those wings, but we’ll gonna need to use it to open up a path.”

 “But… only the left side is not broken.”

 “Did you forget the function I gave them? Oh wait… I never told you… or did I?”

 “What function?”

 “Goddammit, I forgot to tell you… Urgh! You can launch the feathers from your wings. Even better, you can augment them with your mana, and they’ll be even stronger.”

 “They had that?”

 “Yeah… my bad…”

 “That would have been helpful earlier.”

 “I said I’m sorry! Anyway! We’ll use that going towards the basement. Where the real Last gate is. Get ready.”

 Activating his mask again, Kenji pulled out a weapon he barely touched, Ravager, and descended the stairs together with Lucy and Kasumi.

 As Kenji, Lucy and Kasumi descended the stairs to the basement, Ayla had rushed towards Victor. He, who had been played by Kenji, had part of the energy he had stored from the Gates gone, had his pride hurt very much.

 “I was bested by a brat! And even that inferior thing!’

 As he finally had Kenji below his boot, Ayla interrupted by swinging the pillar at him, sending him away from the sacrifice he almost had in his hands.

 “I’ve lost my mind against that brat… But I will not fall to you, daughter.”

 “Finished with the monologue?” Ayla stepped into the room.

 “You feel so powerful right now, don’t you?”

 “If Kenji, who is who he is, was able to make you lose your mind? Who am I to not do the same, then?”

 “You overestimate yourself too much.”

 “Really? Who was it that tossed you where you are, again?”

 “Because of my carelessness.”

 “An opportunity is an opportunity, you bastard!”

 Finishing her phrase, Ayla was right in front of Victor, as the 2 grappled at each other’s hands, and tried to push one another away.

 “ARGH!”

 “YOU think you can take me?! ARGH!”

 Victor, using his claws, dug deep into Ayla’s hands, and started to speak, but was interrupted by Ayla, who used her thin horn, to dug deep into Victor’s right eye, making him let go for a moment.

 Ayla, not letting that opportunity go to waste, started to pummel Victor’s face. 

 “YOU! KILLED! MY MOTHER!”

 “GUH! YOU!”

 “AGH!”

 Grabbing Ayla by the neck, he tossed her on the floor, and then away from him. Victor’s main style was mixing spells with close combat, but if asked how he would go about, Close combat was his specialty.

 “I will send you and that boy’s soul to oblivion!”

 Several spheres of Dark Energy appeared from his mana, and targeted Ayla. She, on the other hand, had no protection against spells like Kenji had, but it would still give her some protection.

 “I HOPE THE CLOTHES YOU MADE WON’T LET ME DOWN, KENJI!”

 She pushed through the spells, feeling her body slow down each time they hit her. Gritting her teeth, she kept pushing through, and approached Victor swiftly. He, on the other hand, had already regenerated his eye.

 “Foolish.”

 Conjuring a lightning above his right hand, tossed towards Ayla, who got hit almost instantly.

 “GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”

 The lightning hit cleanly at her stomach, as she fell on her knees. 

 “Urgh!”

 Stepping down from his throne, Victor approached her. His steps were heavy, and conveyed anger through the sounds it made. About 5 steps away from her, however, Victor was hit by 2 blades on his back.

 “Ha! Glad to see that my coat is still working!”

 “Guh! You!”

 “Sup.”

 Kenji, on the window, had his coat in tatters, and his mask was half broken.

 “You know, it has been quite the ride. But I’m afraid I need you to really die now.”

 “And how are you going to- Wait… These blades.” Victor was perplexed.

 “You’ve noticed? Fun stuff, ain’t it? Now, how bout you take 'em, Ayla. Taking everything into consideration, his reaction is quite amusing, dontcha think?"

 Victor tried to turn around, but he was a second too late, as Ayla grabbed the 2 blades, and swung both off from Victor’s body, cleaving it in 2 at the chest’s height. But she was not done yet. 

 She swung her sword again, twice, thrice, several times, until whatever was left of Victor was nothing but a pool of blood.

 “AAAAAAARGH!”

 “Vampire tartar? Man…”

 “Haa haa haa… Finally… you’re dead…”

 Ayla said, as she stumbled on the floor.

 “No he isn’t.”

 “Wha?”

 Flash stepping and grabbing her, Kenji took some distance from the puddle of small chunks and blood that was Victor. The puddle suddenly had become a ball of spikes.

 “You thought you could have defeated me… you cannot…”

 “How? I-”

 “Cut him into very tiny pieces, as well as making him nothing but blood? Yeah, but that guy isn’t so simple. He has something up his sleeve. I remember hearing something about NEW BLOODLINES, right?”

 “Yes…”

 The puddle of blood moved and formed a face, with a blood tentacle maintaining the head up, and speaking through.

 “Yeah, that’s one of those Skills. Or is it a title? A sinner, or something.”

 “The sinner of Greed. Not something the likes of you would understand.”

 “I actually do. I’ve faced one, and got to see another one on a throne like yours.” Kenji remembered the Giant Eagle of the desert, and Goldguard.

 “Then you know the power we hold.”

 “I do. And would you look at that? I don't care.”

 “And you think that is the end? You don’t-”

 “Buddy, if you’re talking bout the things in the basement, then you haven’t noticed.” Kenji grinned, while Victor finally realized. “The swords, were on the basement. And I came from there, didn’t that passed through that head of yours?”

 “Impossible.”

 “Very much possible.” Bringing the transmitter to his hand, Kenji finished. “Not only that, but I finally get to kill one such sinner. And the gate? Well, it’s already gone.”

 Pressing the button, a loud explosion occurred. The monsters on the outside stopped pouring from the basement, and part of the fortress’s walls fell. But the most shocking thing, not only to Victor, but for others as well, happened right after, as an announcement was made.

 Streaks of dark blue mana flew through the air, as the bullets of Ravager shredded through the monsters coming from the basement. Kasumi provided support with her spells, while Lucy was using her remaining wing as a shield in front of the party, once in a while swinging her mace to take down a passing monster.

 “How many of them are there?!”

 “We’re reaching the basement soon!”

 “I hope so! Ravager will overheat if we don’t!”

 SHHHHHH!

 “Goddammit!”

 As soon as Kenji spoke about Ravager overheating, the gun let out steam from it, as he pulled Shicksal and started to shoot ahead of him. 

 Some monsters that were able to approach him, had the steaming Ravager shoved in their faces, as he focused on the ones ahead of him.

 “Master! We won’t make any progress like this!”

 The one to speak was Lucy, as she had to ditch out defense, and focus on swing her mace on the enemy.

 “Fuck me! I know that! Retreat towards the exit!”

 “Wait, what?!”

 “Trust me, Kasumi!”

 As they both pulled back, Kenji tossed 2 charges of Zerstörer, ahead of him and blew them. Noticing the vacant tunnel ahead, he pulled out something unexpected. 

 “Wait! Why did you bring Raubtier out, Master?!”

 “Faster!”

 Kenji riled the motorcycle up, doing a wheelie, and activating the blades on the front tires.

 Pouring as much mana as he could, Kenji did not stop Raubtier, as he made out of the tunnel.

 SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

 “AGAIN!?”

 Raubtier was steaming, just like Ravager. The blades on the front tires had dented entirely, as he looked at the motorcycle, and at the gate.

 “Clear… Also, anyone wants some monster burger? Anybody? Fuck!”

 Kasumi and Lucy got out of the tunnel, as more monsters poured out of the portal and choose to ignore them completely.

 “Why are they ignoring us.”

 “Probably cause of that bitch?”

 In front of the small gate in the middle of the basement, Kenji saw her again. A gorgon, with a sword piercing her arms and stomach. She grunted, as she turned around, with bloodshot eyes, and trembling movements. Radreiale.

 “YOU!”

 “How many times will I need to kill you, Woman?”

 “You cannot kill me… that easily!” She looked at Lucy and Kasumi. “I’m gonna make… the 2 of them suffer… FOR WHAT YOU DID TO ME!”

 As Kenji was about to pull his shield out, Lucy entered in front of him with her wing and deflected the incoming fireballs.

 “LUCY!”

 “Don’t let us out, master! We’ll help you too!”

 “Can’t you trust us a little bit?”

 Dark fireballs appeared behind Kasumi, as she hurled them at Radreiale, and due to her injuries, she could not defend, and only her screams were heard.

 “YAAAAAAAAARGH!”

 “She’s not immune to my magic! Destroy the gate!”

 Kenji moved out of Lucy’s protection, and tumbling on the floor beside her, and moving towards the gate, pulling another charge, he tossed towards it, and was about to press the button, but Radreiale, noticing him, swatted her tail at the incoming charge.

 “Oh.”

 And Kenji had already pressed the button. But the charge? Flew right in front of him.

 “ARGH!”

 Surprisingly, he was unscathed. His mask, which had cracked before, had broken off on the right side, and part of his coat got damaged. He flew away towards a wall, trying to get up, but felt pain that he thought he wouldn’t feel.

 “How… am I feeling… this much pain…?”

 “MASTER! UGH!”

 Lucy, who had her attention away, was pushed back due to Radreiale’s tail beating her wing.

 “Pay attention Lucy!

 More magic spells flew from Kasumi’s side, hitting Radreiale fully.

 “YAAAARGH!”

 “She’s not avoiding the spells!”

 “She left defense aside! She only cares about keeping that gate open!

 “AAAAAAARGH! I WILL KILL YOU!”

 Lucy moved away from her spot, as lightning spears and magic arrows landed where she just was, and moved towards Radreiale. Pressing the button on her mace, it changed to a flail, hitting the Gorgon’s face.

 “ARGH!”

 As she fell, the Gorgon used her tail to hit Lucy, but her wing protected her, albeit not fully.

 “URGH!”

 Bits and pieces of her wing fell on the ground, as she planted her feet on the floor, and felt a strong pain on her back. The wing articulations were damaged now.

 Radreiale’s focus on her, which left Kasumi to hit the Gorgon with more spells, making her turn around and focus her own spells on the big fox in front of her.

 Entering the shadows that the debris made on the room, Kasumi was able to avoid most of the Gorgon’s spells, giving Lucy also some time to recover.

 “The feathers…”

 “MASTER!”

 “Use the goddamn feathers!”

 Kenji, recovering from his own explosive, got up and said that. Lucy, remembering that, glanced at Radreiale, and did the same motion that Kenji usually do with his shield. She brandished the tattered wing towards the Gorgon, and ALL feathers, imbued by the little remaining Mana she had, shot up on the Gorgon.

 Kasumi, who had got out of the shadow, bit the Gorgon’s neck, using her tails to make chains, and jumped back at the shadow to what was to come.

 “COWARD! I-GAH!”

 The feathers enhanced by the mana, pierced the Gorgon’s body, cutting off her arms, and the ones that weren’t enhanced by mana, pierced her against the wall. The remaining feathers made sure to pin her down.

 “We did it…”

 “You 2 did actually… Ow!”

 “Master! Are you ok?”

 “Nothing to worry about… I’ll be fine…”

 “The portal now…”

 Lucy said, as the 3 approached the portal.

 “Fuck… I only have 2 last charges of Zerstörer… Check the room…”

 “Ok!”

 As the 2 looked around, Kenji walked towards Radreiale, and put one of the charges left inside the injury of the feathers piercing her body. As he walked towards the gate, both Kasumi and Lucy had come back with 2 things.

 “Found anything?”

 “These.”

 “Blades… Wait…”

 “Is something the matter?”

 “This.” Kenji showed Kasumi a mark left on the guards of the blades. “This mark was also on those 2 blades that Ayla had before.”

 “Didn’t you say that those belonged to her mother?”

 “I don’t think it belonged to her, more like, she left her mark in them. Let’s see what this holds.”

 Using his scan on the Blades, Kenji had his eyes widened, AND was agape.

 “What the fuck?” He laughed in disbelief. “Dayum!”

 “What is it?”

 “The more blood it drinks, the stronger it gets.”

 The description of the both blades was as following.

“I think this is Ayla’s mom. I’ll take them to its rightful owner then.”

 “Master, about the portal…”

 “I know. Get some distance.”

 He put the 2 blades on his back, as Kasumi and Lucy got some distance, Kenji pulled out Ansturm. Charging it with mana, Kenji pressed the trigger, and pointed upwards. The last 3 missiles flew up towards the ceiling of the basement, and turned towards the portal. From each of them, 3 child missiles came out, and all 12 missiles hit the portal’s base, making the portal crumble upon itself.

 “Fuck, I’m tired…” Storing the rocket launcher away, Kenji leaned on the wall. “Still, there’s one guy to kill.”

 “What about her?”

 “I can finish her for you.”

 “Nope. You can’t do it. Let her alive for now.”

 “BUT!”

 “Kasumi, I need her alive for now… just until I can make sure that Victor doesn’t have a plan B. Or C, in this case… I think we took care of Plan B.”

 “Fine… I’m tired of fighting…”

 “Me too…”

 The 2 were in tatters, and so was Kenji, but he cracked his back, and said.

 “You 2 can rest… there won’t be more monsters, and up there will be solved soon.”

 Both heaved a sigh of relief, and just fell on the floor, with the wall to their backs, as Kenji rushed out.

 Feeling the energy flowing in, Kenji breathed in and out.

 "Hm… it feels weird… But right now? Hey! Activate Discord."

 Ever since the beginning of this entire operation, Kenji had his Anarchy skill holding up the stacks. And he was saving up for this moment.

 "I'll get 2 sins for price of one."

 "Nothing changes… You are still a newbie with those powers!"

 Spears of blood formed from Victor's blood, and launched towards Kenji. The latter however, put his hand forward, causing a strong shockwave, making all the blood evaporate.

 "Wait… it evaporated?"

 Grinning, he jumped towards Victor. 

 "HAHAHAHA!"

 Laughing like a madman, Kenji punched, clapped, slapped, and waved his hands on Victor, making all of the blood disappear without a trace.

 But even then, the blood quantity wouldn't go down, no matter what Kenji did.

 With his mask also broken, he couldn't see things as before, but his Discord skill was able to give him that lacking trait. And that was all what he needed?

 "Huh? What's that?" He asked himself. "Is that a core?! He has a core!"

 As the two moved and fought, Kenji was able to see as the blood evaporated or moved, he was able to grasp the view of a rough edged stone, the size of his hand, moving around.

 "Will the fight end if I do something to that?"

Slightly curious, Kenji pushed Victor more, waiting for a chance. And as he waited…

 "ENOUGH!"

 "Gotcha~"

 Grabbing the core, he used a shockwave, and put some distance, as Victor used his blood, creating another ball of spikes.

 "This… ends… now…"

 "Yep. It does, huh?"

 Kenji said, as he showed Victor the core in his hand. 

 "NO!"

 "YES!" 

As Victor started despairing, the core in Kenji's hand started to show some blue particles, as he stored it away in his Digi-Storage. And Victor's puddle self, started to crumble.

 "NO NO NO! I CAN'T DIE LIKE THIS! FATHER! FAAAATHEEEEER!"

 "Urgh! Put a sock on it, man."

 As the blood that held Victor started to become smoke, he shouted in despair. Calling for his father he looked up, but no one answered him.

 "You killed her mother, your own wife. Was blessed by the gods with all this power. Got one of the seven sins to steal people's skills. And failed this way? How's it feel? Huh?"

 Kenji mocked him, as his face crumbled to a puddle, and evaporated from existence.

 "Phew. I'm beat. Urgh!"

 Breathing out, Kenji fell to the floor, looking up. 

 "This is all over… right?"

 "Yeah… it is."

 He asked, and Ayla answered. When he glanced over at her, she had the 2 swords held high.

 "Good… I could deal with some nice food… a hot bath, and some sleep."

 "You think?"

 The 2 simply laughed it off, as time passed.

 To Ayla, her life was finally beginning without her tyrant father, as she thought her mother could finally rest in peace. As for Kenji, things would start to get worse.
