Chapter 454

Everyone was shocked, they just witnessed two murders within a few seconds. Yet they could not move their feet to stop it. Perhaps some of them knew the poor Hunter and Rena Scott, but in this current situation, no one dared to mourn. 

"... M- Mikael."

Someone tried to talk to him. 

It was Chairman Renato, the old man looked agitated. Chairman Renato both knew Mikael Tibano and Rena Scott, and he could not believe what happened. 

However, the thing that made him afraid was none other than Mikael's insurmountable hatred. Chairman Renato could feel it, it sent chills deep in him. 

As the Chairman of the Philippines Hunter Association, Chairman Renato had mixed emotions knowing Rena's betrayal and Mikael's transformation. Perhaps he could prevent both of them. 

"Oh, Chairman Renato! You're actually here! Haha, sorry, I did not see you."

Mikael smiled as if nothing happened. 

"Y- yeah."

Chairman Renato's face twitched. 

"Where's Jose? Is he here?"

"I- I'm here Mikael."

Jose Pasodaro appeared, his face was sweating. He just witnessed one of his acquaintance's death, and another acquaintance did it. Right now, both Chairman Renato and Jose Pasodaro were shocked and affected. 

They were lying if they said that they did not treat Rena as their friend. 

However, the woman betrayed them and became a Demon. From the moment she accepted Diablo's power, her death was already imminent. 

Maybe the woman was just affected by the corruption, pushing her to do bad things, but Mikael would not accept this excuse. Rena Scott had to die.

"Haha, let's have a beer after this! I bet drinking under the sun is good too."

Mikael was acting normal, but no one would believe that he was a good person, not anymore. 

"Y- yeah, haha, let's have a drink!"

Jose instinctively nodded his head and agreed. He did not have a choice. 

A few meters away from them, Seven and Andromeda were dumbfounded when they watched the whole scene. 

Especially Seven, his Guild Leader just died. 

'I don't know what will Klein's reaction if he found that his brother killed Guild Leader Rena.'

Seven thought that Rena Scott was a good person... Well, she was indeed a good person but corruption could turn a pure person into a devil. 

Adalyn, who was next to him, was scared and squeezed his arm. 

This was not the Mikael that they knew.

Right in front of them was the Demon Lord of Wrath, not Mikael Tibano. 

The atmosphere was cold and no one dared to open their mouth. Only the brave ones could force their tongues. 

"E- ehem. Now that you killed the traitor, Mikael maybe you can close the rifts and destroy the veil."

Kyle did his best to talk. He had to do his job and end the mission. 

"Ah, what do you mean? I already did."

Mikael tilted his head, looking at Kyle as if he was a joke. 

"Huh?"

Kyle was stunned. Then, he looked at Chen Yu. 

Chen Yu immediately realized his job, he commanded the scientists to open a portal to confirm if the veil was gone.

"Come on guys, you think I'm lying? I'm not that bad. Do I like I will betray you and kill someone just because he pissed me off? Of course not!"

Mikael chuckled, he joked but no one laughed. 

They randomly used coordinates. When the portal opened, Kyle and the others checked it, they looked at the sky. 

The darkness was none to be seen. The blue sky and the yellow sun were illuminating the world. 

"I see..."

Even Kyle smiled when he saw the sun again. The suffocating feeling disappeared. At last, he successfully destroyed the veil, one thing that he failed to do in the past. 

Even the other Hunters were happy when they saw the blue sky. All of them were fighting the Demons in the darkness, making them depressed. But it was different from now on. 

The sun and the sky represent hope. The fact that they achieved it was enough. At least they found that the Demons were not omnipotent. 

"See, I'm not a bad guy."

Mikael looked disappointed.

"Mikael, are you okay?"

Miriam approached him. Her complexion was pale, but her worries were stronger than her fear. 

"I'm fine Miriam, you don't have to worry."

Mikael assured him. In fact, he felt enlightened. He found the truth. 

Miriam sighed when she discovered that Mikael was still Mikael, at least his mind was still there.

'It's just that something inside him changed.'

It was enough, as long as Mikael knew what is important. 

"Now, if you excuse me. I have to talk to someone."

The Hunters were looking at the sky that they did not see for a long time. They even forgot that something terrible happened. 

Mikael looked at them and shrugged. 

"What a childish act."

He walked away from the crowd and approached someone. 

He caught a glimpse of Christian having an epileptic shock but he did not have time to think of him right now. 

'Maybe the aura of Wrath made him scared. I guess he's going to retire, huh.'

Mikael stopped his feet in front of a woman. 

The woman was currently protected by a bunch of people behind her. They were ready to die for her. 

"Yow, wazzup Princess Belle."

"Hello."

She greeted him with no ounce of fear. 

"You really are a great woman."

Mikael grinned and grabbed her waist. 

"Kyah--!!"

The woman yelped but she looked happy. 

Without hesitation, Mikael transformed into a bolt of lightning and escaped the place. 

That's right, he abducted Princess Belle. 

The Elves were shocked and tried to follow them but they failed, Mikael was so fast. 

"W- what!?"

"Princess!"

The Elves were panicking, and even Elder Seigh was frightened. But thankfully, because of his experience, Elder Seigh was not acting crazy. 

He glanced at Miriam, his intention was obvious. 

Miriam immediately understood. She just nodded and closed her eyes. 

"They are going to Brazil... At the Christ the Redeemer."
