"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"I was told that someone with white hair could help me find him." answered Oswin.

"What makes you think that?" I responded.

"Did no one tell you about white hair in this world?" asked Oswin.

"White hair? This world?" I said, "What are you even talking about?"

"Your hair is a sign that you're really good with magic." answered Oswin, "It's why you're compatible with pretty much anything."

"What do you want me to do about it?" I asked.

"I want you to help me find him." he answered.

"Didn't I already tell you I'd do what I could?" I responded.

"I was told that you might actually be the only one that knows." said Oswin.

"I don't know what I can tell you." I said.

"So you don't know something after all?"

"I don't get you. Coming to me to find some guy."

"If I'm bothering you, then I'll just leave."

"Tell me. Where are you really from?"

"I told you before, right? I'm from another town-"

"That's a lie."

"W-what are you talking about?"

"You're not from this world, are you?"

"H-how did you know?"

"Rose can sense the souls of others and she could tell that yours does not belong in this world."

"O-oh. There's someone that can do that...?"

I could tell, this search for the old me was really bothering him. It was tiring him out and making him sad. I knew I had to tell him the truth. But would he believe me? I just couldn't be sure about that.

"Um... listen," I said, "it's um..."

"What?" he said.

"I'm afraid I haven't entirely been honest with you." I said.

"So are you saying that you do know where Gabe is?" asked Oswin, "How do you even know him?"

"The truth is... is..." I started, but couldn't get the words out.

My eyes started watering.

"N-Nova!" he said.

"I'm sorry!" I said, starting to run away.

He then grabbed onto my arm.

"O-Oswin!" I said.

"S-sorry." he responded, "Did I make you upset?"

"I wouldn't say it's necessarily you're fault." I said.

"Were you sad because you knew what happened to him?" asked Oswin.

"I guess." I responded.

"Yeah, well, I guess there's no way his soul could actually be in this world." said Oswin, "Because... he died. I should know. I was there for his final moments."

He knew that I had died. Yet he was still searching for me in this world, where I technically shouldn't have existed. I died, so I shouldn't have been given life somewhere else. I did have to wonder how it even happened.

"The truth about Gabe is he's here!" I said.

"He's... here?" responded Oswin, "Where?"

"Right in front of you." I muttered.

"What was that?" asked Oswin, "You're mumbling."

"I'm Gabe!" I responded.

"What the hell are you talking about?" responded Oswin, "There's no way you could be Gabe!"

I guess the hair and eyes aren't enough.

"When I last saw you, I was in the hospital." I said, "You and Mary were both telling me how you wanted me to live, but the illness won in the end."

"H-how do you know about Gabe's illness?" asked Oswin.

"I just told you, didn't I?" I responded.

"N-no way." he said.

"I've even got the same hair and eyes." I said, "How come that wasn't enough for you to figure it out?"

"But... you're a girl." he said.

"In this world, yeah." I said.

"Ah, this too much for me." he said.

"I'm sorry." I replied.

"Don't apologize." said Oswin, "How did this happen to you?"

"I don't know." I said, "I died and the next thing I knew I was a girl."

"For how long?" asked Oswin.

"Well, it was weird repeating all those years of school." I said.

"Geez. To think you were right in front of me this whole time. Why didn't you say anything sooner?"

"I didn't think you'd believe me."

"I guess that makes sense."

"So now what?"

"I'd like you to come back with me."

"What?"
