"So, what's going on with you?" I was asked a few days later when I was in one of our school's gyms.

"It's nothing." I said.

Donovan wasn't buying it. Even Andy seemed to think I was lying.

"Does it have to do with that guy you were talking to?" asked Donovan.

"That... guy?" I said, "You mean Jon?"

"Yeah, him." said Donovan.

"Do you know anything about him?" I asked.

"He wanted to talk to me about something." said Donovan.

"Oh, really?" I said, "What was it?"

"I don't think I can say here." answered Donovan.

"Is it dirty?" asked Andy.

"No, it's nothing inappropriate." replied Donovan, "But we will need some privacy."

Then, Donovan dragged me away to one of the corners of the gym.

"I've heard that you ended up disappearing a couple of times." said Donovan.

"A couple?" I replied, "What do you mean?"

"There have been some times where you disappeared for a day or two." he said.

"S-so?" I replied, "I may not seem like it, but I go outside sometimes!"

"You're doing something during these times." he said.

"And what if I am?" I replied.

"Nothing." he said.

"Huh?" I replied.

"I just want t co confirm something." continued Donovan.

"Confirm something?"

"It has to do with that strange guy, right?"

"Jon?"

"You're not living a normal life."

"What do you mean?"

"Heh, well, even if you're not going to talk, I think I've figured it out."

"Then say it."

"Nah, I'll just wait till later."

"...Later?"

"We've got some time before we get called."

After that, he walked off.

"What?" I said, wondering what that conversation was even about.

I was sweating. Did I really need to keep my adventures a secret? Even if I didn't, how many people would actually believe me? I had traveled to other worlds, or to be more accurate, I was put into some kind of training thing before actually traveling to one. And those powers of mine. I could easily prove they were real by using them, but I was never really the type of person that liked the attention from that kind of thing.

The rest of our P.E. class went by. However, I just couldn't get my mind off of what Donovan said. Why did he have to speak in riddles? Why couldn't he just come out and say what he meant. If only things could be much simpler. When my last class came, Mikaela was looking in my direction.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"To annoy you." she said.

"Go annoy someone else." I replied.

"But you're more fun to annoy." responded Mikaela.

"Well, stop." I said.

"No." she responded.

"So, you don't have anything important to say do you?" I asked.

"Not really."

"Figures."

"What? I can talk about important things sometimes."

"Important? Like what?"

"Like that thing you've been doing?"

"That... thing?"

The way she said it worried me. Just what the hell did she even mean?"

"When you say that thing," I said, "what are you even referring to?"

"Y'know... that thing." she replied.

"No," I said, "no, I don't."

"And for some reason, you don't do it alone." added Mikaela.

"If you say it like that, it really worries me." I replied.

"I know what you've been up to, Ron." was the last thing she said to me before class started.

What the heck did she mean when she said that she knew what I had been up to? Did she know something about the quests I was on? How was that even possible? I shook my head and then tried to pay attention to our teacher. This really was a weird day.
