I couldn’t help but shiver, huddling in a corner. Breathing heavily, eyes watched frantically at every dancing shadow.

Did I lose them? Are they still chasing me?

I heaved a little, feeling sick to my stomach,  knowing that it wasn’t safe, but I couldn’t run anymore. Having no energy to move.

I don’t want to go back.

Tears running down my cheeks, trying to make sure that every part of her was hidden in the darkness.

Hitting the ground in frustration, I didn’t know what to do; even I could get away, I have nowhere to go, no one to rely on. There was one person but…

Shaking my head. I can’t think about that. I feel so sleepy.

But before I could close my eyes, something caught my eye.

Startled, I squeezed myself closer to the wall and lashed with what little magic was left.

“Ha, stop that.” Seeing nothing there, I looked around frantically. “Up here.” My eyes looked up, finding myself looking at something much smaller than expected and flying.  A woman smiled down at me. “Hi.”
