Below that were three unlockable skills

Weak heal[1]
Mana construct[1]
Taming[1]

Not bad. I eye weak heal but judging from my name(I seriously didn't pick that, I didn't even get a welcome speech that isekai MCs usually get) my skills are mainly healing. It'll be easy to get those and everything else is probably blocked. So taming is a must and yeah mana construct is fun but taming? That would allow me to have a tank to hide behind(no I am not a coward but judging how swords are blocked I can't unlock any offensive skills to protect myself) A window popped up

Confirm?

Taming[1]

[A skill that allows you to force a sentient being under your command]1when text is surrounded by these [] it means the system is explaining something

Cost: Level dependent [+2 mana every level]
Yes/No

I press on yes, nothing really happened no glowing or anything like that. "status"

Name: Healer (I swear this isn't my name...I think? I can't remember much)
Race: Hooman (I hate this)
Title: Coward, Otherworlder
Exp: 5/20
Level: 2
Health: 2 (+1 health per level is trash)
Mana: 5 (+4 per level seems good tho that depends on an average spell cost)
Skills: Running [6], Mana sense [3],Weak pain resistance [1], Stealth [1], Danger sense [1], Mana control [1], Dismantling [1], Resting [1]
Level up skills: Taming [1] (guess they are different)

I think leveling running helped with my stamina since I can still stand fine. I don't really have a plan, I don't think I can defeat the demon lord or whatever isekai MC's usually do. I clear away my thoughts because a new type of mana got picked up by my mana sense skill.

Mana sense [4]

I wave it away and focus on the new arrival. But it kinda just sat there, it wasn't as sinister as the bear. The bear's mana had a nightmare vibe to it. But this thing had the color of... nothing? It had mana but no color or feel to it. I decided to train my sneak skill and investigate, it wasn't too far. When I arrived I saw a blob of slime, I picked up a nearby rock and chucked it

Throwing [1]

Well, thanks but not now! I looked back to the slime and the rock was lodged inside of it. It didn't look like it was doing much until the rock started to bubble and melt. Yikes, it melted fast, I continued to stare at it, waiting for it to move or do anything. Then a helpful skill window showed up

Analyze [1]

Naturally, I used it

Name: N/A [Not tamed thus has no name]
Race: Neutral slime
Title: N/A
Exp: Blocked [Analyse too low]
Level: 2
Health: 20 (oh great a slime has 10 times the amount I have)
Mana: 0 [Is a neutral slime, spells use different types of mana but never neutral2this world will have the basics: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Dark and maybe some people will have mixes but that's rare]
Skills: Status immunity [10 Max], Dissolve [5], Physical immunity [5], Mana sense [5]

Dang immunity max at only level 2? I only have one level 6. Hell if I tried to fight this, it would dissolve me and I can't kill it because of its physical immunity and that's if I had a weapon which I don't. So I tried taming out, I whisper "taming"

Tame Neutral slime?
Cost: 4 mana [level 2]
Yes/No

I press yes, I wasn't expecting the mana cost to hit this hard. It felt like I'd been hit by a truck(trust me I know) I promptly blacked out. I woke up to a window

Successfully tamed Neutral slime
Name?

I looked over to the slime. I am terrible with names so I naturally named it(I mean like slimes don't have genders right?) Slime. Since I really don't know what to name it. So Slime is the easiest option. I walked over to it and poked it. I think because it's now under my command I can somewhat "feel" what it's thinking. Nothing much was happening in there but I did feel a thread connecting us. I tried pulling it but quickly stopped because all it seemed to do is figure out where the other was. After experimenting a while and I ignored the windows until I reached level 5 on something. Then I got it

Commands [5]
Matter manipulation [5] (I guess moving around an object counts)
Taming [2]

Slime leveled up. I guess after basically teaching it to be an extension of my body and various complex structures(In my previous life I liked to messed around with building stuff) for fun, surprisingly slimes are structurally sound no matter how you shape them. It's like they have bones, isekai worlds are weird. Anyway, luckily I was able to see Slime's memories, or at least kinda? Even its memories were in blobs. But I could pick out a few key details. First is that this forest has an exit but it was a path that cut through the whole forest and you could only leave at the two ends of the path. Another was that there are humans or a race close to it. The last thing was the most important, well yes leaving this place is good and all but FOOD. I haven't had anything and I have been feeling it for a while now. Based on Slime's memories there are a couple of safe looking food sources in the forest. The safest option was what looked like a kind of berry and it wasn't far.

Is this a good amount? it's at 900 average words per chap right now. Oh and about Slime's name you guys can suggest a name if you want. I am always open to it, just do it now or it will forever be named that. About stats, I think I'll only do health and mana because if I add the other ones, then I would have to balance the world more and it's just a pain to do. If you couldn't tell I tried out the tables, in my opinion, it looks cleaner but I'll put a poll to see what you guys want. Also since it's thanksgiving break I hope I remember to post on a Wednesday and Friday schedule because right now the weekend felt like only an hour. Anyways I'll post this on Wednesday(I wrote this to post later but you'll see it on Wednesday) and try to finish up coffee by Friday so that gets done. But seriously no promises
