"We got you now you son of a bitch! You might as well admit it, or we will go for the death sentence!" Detective Clyde yelled at David

"I want...lawyer" David said

"Lawyer! Don't make me laugh. Both your victims are in your museum, aren't they?" Detective Clyde yelled

"Got...got...proof?" David asked

"The DNA has been destroyed, but we can physically match their descriptions based on computer generated imagery. You're screwed" Clyde yelled

"Bullshit! Such computer shenanigans will be thrown out of court before you even step in" a pretty girl entered the room

"Who are you?" Detective Clyde asked

"Serene Dupont. I'm Mr Forsythe's lawyer" she said handing over her business card

"My god another one. If you don't watch out, you'll be a exhibit too in his morbid museum" he said

"These are the documents putting an injunction on all the exhibits and all the artifacts in Mr Forsythe's plasticizing workshop" she said, showing him the documents

'But that.." Detective Clyde said

"Yep. It means you have no case" she answered

"But they are the missing people!" Detective Clyde yelled

"You said it yourself, there is no DNA evidence. Your computer generated imagery can be faked and will not stand. All the bodies are donated by the persons themselves, donating their bodies to science. My client has all the documentation proving it. You have no case against him!" Serene said

"But I have video evidence of him changing the mobster's daughter with a sex doll" Detective Clyde said

"Fraud. At best 5 years. 2 years on good behaviour, maybe less" she said

"I have the video of him killing his previous lawyer, the Korean girl Sumi!" Detective Clyde said

"Self defense, isn't it? She attacked him with a scalpel. He put her to sleep with a choke hold, which is a gentle way to disable someone. Your police academy has a jiu jitsu curriculum, doesn't it? You should know this" she answered

"But she disappeared after.." he argued

"The video doesn't show what happened. My client most likely sent her home. Didn't you David?" Serene asked

David nodded. This lawyer is good

"Wait here a moment" Detective Clyde said as he left the room for a while

"Who..who are you?" David asked

Serene giggled

"Don't you recognize me? Maybe if I yank your dick hard enough again, you would" she said with a smile

David's jaw drop. He was still sore from her treatment.

"The boss says she'll help you one last time. Otherwise, you might not do what she asked you to do" Serene said, her face turning serious.

Detective Clyde entered again.

"You're not going anywhere, you son of a bitch. You are under arrest for the murders of Eugene Jackman, Sumi Lee, Catherine Charleston, Elizabeth Northington, Lamar Jackson, Victor Anderson and Arnand Machado. There will be more, but these are what we can charge you with currently. We've got you" Detective Clyde said as he started cuffing David

"On what grounds? What evidence do you have?" Serene asked

"You'll find out. See you in court" Clyde smiled as he brought David out of the room.

--

"All rise! Honorable Judge Northington is in session" the bailiff said

"Objection your honor! " Serene stood up right at the beginning

"Judge Northington's wife is one of the victims in this criminal proceedings. So it is my opinion that he should recuse himself from the bench" she said

Judge Northington was Elizabeth's husband. Having him preside over this matter seem highly unfair. Even if the prosecutor got a guilty verdict, the case would be overturned because of a mistrial.

Judge Northington looked angry and he hasn't even sat down yet and glared at her.

But he nodded. He had insisted he took the case, so his fellow judges allowed him to, but he forgot that if he really wanted the murderer to pay, he should not judge over this case. His anger clouded his judgement.

A short recess was called as Judge Northington exchanged cases with another Judge.

The court case unfolded like a TV drama, and the press was very interested due to it being high profile and about a serial killer.

David's face was pasted everywhere, he could no longer go out in public even if he was declared innocent.

The accusations flew fast and furiously, but Serene battered them down one by one proficiently.

The prosecutor accused David of swapping Marisa's body, but Serene argued at most it was fraud, and not proof of murder

The prosecutor accused David of killing Sumi, showing the edited video. Serene countered by a much longer video, showing self defense.

The prosecutor weaved a contrived story about how David targetted each victim, with fanciful stories about why they were selected, that David was a loser jealous of all the beautiful people, he couldn't help but murder them to have sex with them.

Serene got the jury to laugh, calling the story so badly thought out that a children's fable made more sense.

The prosecutor showed evidence of some fakery in David's consent forms. But Serene countered saying that the Baggio Mob passed him the bodies and faked the documents.

As the case went on, Serene started to paint a picture that David was the unwitting dupe, being supplied with dead bodies after they killed them.

At most, he would be an accessory to hiding the bodies. The murderers were the Baggio family!

The press ran with this plausible story and went on to hound the Baggio family instead, as the newspapers formed their own theories of how the mob was killing enemies and using the exhibit to hide the bodies.

"All these alibis and arguments are very good, they are nearly believable. But what you don't know is that we have a witness" the prosecution smiled

"Who?" Serene asked, shocked

"Your honor, I call upon my witness Rose Parkey Dempsey-Jackman, wife of one of the victims Eugene Jackman!" the prosecutor said

David was shocked and his eyes popped out when Rose walked out from the back, her eyes red.

She wore a black dress and indicating that she had been mourning.

David felt like he had been punched in the gut!
