The Cavemen never left.
3
I sat here for a moment, thinking about what this meant. At first, I thought this was ridiculous. And then I thought about how this is a work of fiction. And THEN I thought about some potential, darker meanings behind such a small word, and can I just say that you are a genius?
Perhaps I may be reading it wrong, but as someone from a minority in my country, these 4 words have made me think: did the "cavemen" ever leave, and will they leave?
I have to give you a read for this alone! I read the other chapter, and I just got to say that this seems to be a delight. A wonderful delight at that. Your writing is special, and something tells me that you'll be touching the hearts of more strangers much like me on the internet! Please don't stop writing, and don't make people stop thinking.
Hello,
Thank you so much for the encouragement. Honestly, I wasn't sure how this would be received here, but I am so glad that it has captured someone's interest.
A Hundred Words Are Worth a Picture is a series of shorts but also a single story on its own. It's a hall of mirrors, drawing parallels between the Past/Present and the Future over different aspects of Humanity. In this hall where life and death, creation and destruction, endlessly chase each other like a snake swallowing its own tail, a central question floats in the air, and you might just have a clue.
I will leave it at that as I wish for my readers to have their own interpretations. The story behind the whole collection might also come to light as more mirrors are revealed.
Again, thank you so much for reading and commenting on my book. Hope to see you around!
Is this in reference to the instinct of the caveman being eternal in human nature?
