Chapter 72: Back

-flashback to the night before-

The door opened and the man stepped in, barely making a sound.

He had a small object in his hand but hid it on his person.

It noticed Luna sitting outside on the balcony.

She didn’t move, a few birds rested and mingled on the railing.

The sun was gone, but a bit of light still remained.

She had a teacup and a few pastries on the table.

The birds barely noticed she was there, Luna was the same, barely noticing the being standing behind her.

The wind blew and her hair rippled with it.

All the birds' attention shifted from each other to the dark figure behind Luna, it’s eyes shining red in the shadow of a door frame.

As they fluttered away, startling Luna a bit waking her from her restful mood, two arms wrapped themselves around her.

Leon moved his head by hers and took a breath as if stretching.

Leon’s eyes closed when he basked in her embrace.

She seemed content and happy, a small smile came from her, though a sense of tiredness came from the way her eyes were slightly closed.

She moved herself to conform to him, her hand resting against his cheek.

Though the way she spoke was as if she was sleeping a while.

“Your finally back, I missed you.”

“I’m sorry... I couldn’t come back sooner. I had a few things I needed to take care of.”

“I’m just glad you're safe.”

“Yea...”

He moved to her front and noticed the cute nightgown she had on.

She seemed to want to cause some excitement to come from Leon once he returned.

But it seemed her waiting in such a peaceful scene caused her to doze off.

Leon moved his head forward and welcomed Luna’s lips to his.

A greeting much like one a husband and wife would share after a long day of being apart.

He grasped her in his arms and carried her to the bed.

Though Leon once lying her down went and cleaned himself.

He felt lonely in the shower, though it was quick.

He wanted to spend as much time as he could with her.

Once out walking in the room naked and slightly wet he toweled himself off.

He grabbed some underwear and looked over to his future bride in the bed.

He looked at the clothes on the floor and grabbed a box.

It was of course the ring box that he got from the jewelry store.

He took out both rings, placing his on his left ring finger, and took the other to the bed with him.

Luna was on her stomach now, she must’ve moved while he was in the shower.

Her hand layed out almost perfectly for him to slip the ring on.

He looked at her sleeping face and smiled, as he put the ring on her.

“Your finally mine.”

He kissed her hand and tucked himself in the bed with her, his arms grasping around her body.

They both slept the night away, well till morning came.
