Just as they left the building, they found that the marketplace outside was now deserted and their path was blocked by a group of thugs.

"What do you want?" Ranier asked

"I want my slaves back" he said, pointing to the two new slaves

"They are my slaves. I bought them legally" Ranier said

"Hahaha. You bought them legally? I am the law here. And now it looks like we have more new slaves" the man laughed. 

"This is your last chance to walk out alive" Ranier said as the other women seemed to be hiding behind him. 

"Ha ha ha. I'll take my chances. Get them!" the man commanded

Before anyone could move, Esdeath's ice sword was touching the ground as the large man looked in shock.

The thin line that went down from the top of his head suddenly split his body in half, his right side flopping to the right and his left side to the left. 

The other men were stunned, unable to move. 

"Your choice. Live.... or die" Ranier smirked. 

"Th...they're only girls. Don't me scared! Atta..." one of the other men yelled before he suddenly fell silent. 

He gurgled with blood as a throwing knife was stuck into his throat and he fell to the ground. 

An innocent looking black haired girl in a thin dress Rei was twirling another dagger. 

"I think they need more encouragement" Ranier said, seeing the frozen crowd of over 40 men surrounding them

*BANG* a gunshot rang out as a man dropped to the ground. Nightingale appeared behind him with a smoking pistol. 

Violet and Teresa moved in an instant and several heads flew into the air, the bodies standing still and blood was spurting out of their necks. 

By now the men were terrified and fleeing. 

"That's better. Now, lets get you washed and dressed" Ranier said as he brought the two slaves with them to find an inn. 

They found an inn with a large room with a bath. One thing Ranier appreciated about Argabad was their bath facilities. 

Manora wasn't like the other Argabad cities. It wasn't that modern yet. It had some of the new technologies like running water and electricity, but the rest was still developing. 

This was because it was more lawless than the other cities of Argabad. It was a border town and the laws of the empire was still not fully adhered to here. 

Ranier sat in the large bathing pool, surrounded by Esdeath, Violet, Nightingale, Rei and Teresa. The blonde and the brunette slave stood at the side nervously. 

"Don't be afraid, jump in. You are not slaves anymore" Ranier said with Nightingale bobbing her head up and down his crotch.

"You know me?" Charlotte asked

"In my world, all of you are characters in story books. I know you, now that you gave me your name. I didn't recognize you with your hair straight and being naked" he said

"My name is Mary Sue..." the brunette said

"Ah.. yes. The daughter of Anson Sue of the Unified States" Ranier said

"So they have abilities too?" Esdeath asked 

"Yes.... Mary Sue here is a mage with wind magics, while Charlotte here has briar magic" Ranier said

"N...no. My curse.. I can't access my powers here. My curse prevents me" Charlotte said

"Without an operation orb, I cannot access my magics" Mary Sue said

"We will sort that out one at a time" Ranier said moving over to Charlotte who was shocked at Ranier moving in so close

"Your curse will be broken once your heart is stolen by someone, right?" Ranier said, his face inches from hers and his chest pressing into her breasts. 

"Ye..yes. How did you.." Charlotte stammered

"Then it is simple" he said and suddenly kissed her.
