This is in my workshop.

This place used to be empty but, now I'm left with all kinds of material.

Metal, crystal, magic dust, and all kind of things that supposed to be a rare commodity, it is now just lying there within my workshop.

Normally a blacksmith without some kind of financial backup, would not be buying this amount of materials, and what I mean by the amount is not the amount of the materials itself but the variety of it.

'Only buy, what you need at the moment.' That is what usually my master said.

Well look like I'm underestimating nobility a bit too much, and now I am left with a bothersome request without any way to deny it.

It is not a hard process, it is just a long and exhausting one. If not because of my shock from the amount of the materials. I probably would have declined this request by saying 'the amount of mana needed to repair this sword is too much, you better search for someone else.' But, now.

Few bottles of mana potion are there laying on the table. They probably know that I would try to escape using insufficient mana as a reason, but, they also try to shut that escape way.

Now I am left with one work that if I failed probably could cause my life.

"Noble is truly scary huh..."

----------

Detailed information about the sword, Flamebringer.

It is a magic sword that can create and control fire, thus the name.

This sword is not only able to manipulate fire. But, also can enhance the ability of its user by giving them physical enhancement, fire resistance, and magic resistance.

The sword is made from silver, the most common material to be used to create a weapon that specifically designs to kill beast and monsters with magic attribute.

This is the pride sword that was created by lady Lucia's grandfather.

----------

Then I see why her grandfather so mad at her.

This is not just a magic sword but it is a 'Pride sword' this is her grandfather's standard as a blacksmith, if someone created a magic sword as his pride this is the same as vowing this is the standard that I gonna surpass.

And judging his position as lady Lucia's grandfather. He created this sword when the method of creating a magic sword is still primitive even harder process than it is now.

"Well for now let's see what I can do."

First, probably I need to remove all of its magic attributes, erasing the command code, removing all its magic circuits, and so on, and so on.

"Yeah, I think that should make the restoration of its shape easier."

After that extracting magic crystal dust that has been fused in its circuit.

"With all of that done, I think it's all now just a regular broken silver sword.

Fuuh.... The only magic I use so far is just extraction but I am already this exhausted."

I drink one of the mana potions. It feels amazing almost as if I just wake up from a long hibernation, it's probably restored my mana already. So I continue to work on repairing the sword.

There is no way we could restore these two pieces perfectly without the use of magic. So, Magic it is.

I take the raw silver material and start using magic on it. I connected the broken pieces together and with the addition of the silver. I start to restore its shape, the same shape that it was before.

"Just the same as in the instructions."

It was there perfect as newly created.

"It takes me a full day to complete this."

But, it just was the outer shape of the sword that is restored. All its magic attributes, all of its magic circuit, and all of its command code are gone.

It is now just a simple plain normal silver sword.

"Stage one, done...

I guess."

That mana potion probably is just the same as my hammer. Once the effect wear of it will send that previously suppressed exhaustion all at once.

"Well magic item is all like that anyway. So why am I surprised?"

It probably still right to think that mana potion is stupidly expensive if it still has this drawback.

"Limited time to use unlimited mana huh? Probably this kind of item is not for me, after all, blacksmith's job is a continuous job. This burst mana uses probably more suited toward mages or someone who depends on mana to fight."

Something that the creation of a magic item tries to solve.

The purpose of creating a magic item is to avoid this mana problem entirely,

By making the item draw the mana from nature instead of its user.

"It is not the right time to think about the purpose of crafting. I will have all time I need once I finish this job."

For now, let's end it at here.
