As I watched the horror in front of me unfold the goblins in front began their assault on the their attackers around ten of them all charged at once with their weapons drawn this all ended in failure however as by the time the group noticed the pathetic attempt of a resistance that stood in front of them it was already decided

 

"Oh that's cute" said the girl in the witches hat

 

Immediately after saying that the girl waved her staff in the air while mumbling gibberish that I didn't understand before banging the staff back down on the ground Suddenly a tornado of fire appeared and swept across the floor where the goblins were scooping each of them up one by one and burning them alive

 

Screams of agony could be heard as each goblin disappeared in the flames before getting spat back out their bodies completely charred and unrecognizable

 

"Hey leave some for the rest of us Scarlet will you I have to level up too you know" Said Zac

 

"Oh right sorry Zac ill leave the rest to you" Scarlet replied with a big grin on her face

 

I didn't know what to do a part of me just wanted to drop my weapon and surrender but with the way they've treated the situation I doubt they'd spare me so I decided to wait and look for an opening currently the major problem was the magic girl with her fire magic but by the looks of things she wasn't going to get involved anymore so I can probably focus on the others instead

 

A few more goblins charged this time and targeted the man in front when suddenly in a blink of an eye they went from fully formed goblins to guts and blood splattered all over the cave floor

 

This caused the rest of the goblins to hesitate barely understanding what just happened even I could barely understand it. it just happened so fast that I couldn't keep track the only reason why I knew what happened was because the girl to his right was now over to his far left cleaning blood off of her blade

 

All the goblins were stunned "Fast" was all that they could say which was true she was freakishly fast I've never seen anyone move that fast before

 

Zac then looked at her a little irritated " You too Emma I could have handled that myself you know"

 

"Forgive me sir but you should stick with smaller groups until you've leveled up a bit more remember you're still new to this" she replied

 

"W-Well that's true but at this rate you'll have gotten them all if you keep wiping them out left and right"

 

The girl in the back then joined in on the conversation "He has a point how about we do this then"

 

She then grabbed her axe tightly before releasing it and throwing it in our direction it managed to take out two more goblins before impaling the ground but before we could recover our thoughts she clicked her fingers and when she did a bolt of lightning struck the axe and created a huge blast killing majority of the goblins near it even managing to hit me knocking me down instantly

 

"O-Ow shit" I said dazed

 

The girl with the axe looked pleased with herself before speaking again "Okay that should do it you can take out the rest of them right Zac?"

 

"Yeah ill be fine just don't get involved" he replied

 

He then began to walk over towards us gripping his sword tightly; After I recovered I looked to see what the damage was but when I did I was horrified majority of the goblins that were alive only a minute ago were now just chunks splattered all across the floor leaving only five of us left including me

 

I was so disturbed by what I both saw and smelled that I ended up vomiting all over the floor "Bleeeuuurrrggghh" I couldn't help it everything just came back up uncontrollably I didn't even find it that bad compared to what I saw before its just that the smell of both cooked and uncooked goblins was what pushed me over the limit

 

"Haha is that one vomiting I've never seen one do that before" Said Scarlet

 

While I was busy chucking up however the man got closer and as he did two of the remaining five goblins went to charge him one holding a sword while the other was holding a mace but once they got within range the man gripped his sword tightly and gave it a big swing cutting the two in half

 

That was it "Its over" is what I thought not only are we outnumbered now but any one of them by themselves would be overkill wiping us out instantly; then without a moment of hesitation the remaining two attacked one stayed behind with a bow and arrow while the other charged with his sword

 

The man gripped his sword again and was about to swing but right as he did an arrow was fired at his knee which didn't penetrate due to the difference in quality between the arrow and armour but it was enough to throw him off the goblin charging at him then managed to get a hit

 

But it was all in vein after hitting him due to the swords quality and the way he swung it the sword broke in half the man then recovered stabbing the goblin in front of him he then grabbed it by the neck and threw it towards the bow and arrow user knocking him down in the process he then leapt over towards them and while standing over the two he drove his sword down impaling the both of them he then took his sword out and shifted his attention towards me

 

"One left" he said

 

Shit I didn't know what to do he was clearly both bigger and stronger and I had no idea how to fight with a sword no matter how I looked at it I was going to die I had no chance and they knew it

 

I then got ready to accept my fate but then I noticed something he wasn't approaching me but why? Its only me left and its not like he was scared so why the hell was he staying put? Unless he was expecting me to charge him?

 

the more I thought about it the more it made sense this whole time they were following a pattern goblins attack they counter goblins attack they counter the only time this wasn't the case was when that tall lady attacked but if I had to guess it was probably because she didn't have to follow that strategy since she was so strong but this guy was different he struggled with two goblins and if they had better equipment they might have dealt damage

 

They also mentioned earlier that he should be careful specifically which would imply he was new and not completely used to this yet so maybe if I make him come to me I might get the upper hand

 

We then just stared at each other for a bit with him getting a bit more agitated that I wasn't moving when suddenly the magic girl spoke

 

"Come on Zac get him" she said encouragingly

 

"But shouldn't I wait for him to come to me like you said?" he replied cautious

 

"He's clearly afraid of you that was the one that vomited earlier he's clearly weaker willed then the rest he's probably frozen with fear should be an easy kill" she said confidently

 

"Okay I got it"

 

And with that he started to walk over to me while drawing his sword; this was good although I didn't really know what I was going to do I knew that I had a better chance now that he was coming to me instead of the other way around

 

As he got closer he gave his sword a few practice swings I think to try and scare me while also showing off but it didn't really work since compared to the others he was nothing

 

"Okay monster I'm going to slice you in two so get ready" he said triumphantly

 

I'm not sure why but that sentence pissed me off maybe because he was trying to act big or maybe because he seemed to not care that he was helping wipe out an entire community I didn't really care why though all I knew was that I didn't want to lose no matter what

 

"Try it" I replied

 

This stunned him for a second not expecting to get a reply out of me but he soon regained his composure and after getting close enough he swung his sword at me it was a quick side slash but I just managed to avoid it by backing up It was actually pretty easy since it was a large sword that he was only swinging with one hand in order to show off so he couldn't swing it nearly as fast as last time

 

"I thought you were gonna slice me in two?" I said mockingly

 

"Grrr Shut up bastard" he replied clearly annoyed

 

He then grabbed his swords handle with both hands and charged at me I have to admit I was trying to agitate him to throw him off a bit but I think I made it worse for myself his swings were quick and kept coming one after another I could barely dodge them I had to keep moving back and side to side so much so that I ended up with my back facing his group I really hope that they continue to view instead of getting involved

 

"Huh I've never seen a goblin act like that before" Scarlet said shocked

 

"I know Zac shouldn't be having trouble with one goblin at his level this goblins very different from the others if he cant kill it soon we'll have to interfere" replied Emma

 

After hearing this I knew I couldn't keep this going for much longer I had to do something and quick but I didn't know what; he was too quick and well guarded for me to strike I had to distract him but how

 

"STOP RUNNING AND FIGHT" he demanded

 

He seemed to be sick of swinging his sword back and forth trying to hit me the way he was flailing his arms it reminded me of when I was little fighting against Matt with sticks in fact I started laughing at how much it reminded me of it

 

"Hahahahaha"

 

He then gritted his teeth while mumbling something "S-Stop laughing bastard you think I'm a joke well ill show you what I'm truly capable of"

 

He then stopped while holding his sword behind him standing completely still his sword then started to glow growing brighter and brighter with a blinding white light

 

"Crap he's going overboard again we better move back this wont be pretty" The girl with the axe stated

 

After saying that the three moved back and when I turned around to look they were gone I didn't know exactly what his attack did but I knew I couldn't let it go off I then ran towards him gripping my sword ready to swing; I couldn't really see him well since the light he was emitting was pretty blinding but I could still see his basic outline

 

He seemed to notice me run towards him though because right after I did he spoke

 

"Ha its too late I'm gonna incinerate you so there's nothing left" he said triumphantly

 

the light coming from the sword then began to emit crazy large bursts of energy and as it did he began to aim it in my direction and swing and as I got closer I got a glimpse of his face he was smiling like he just finally conquered the hardest challenge of his life but his smile soon faded and turned into an expression of shock and sadness as the light flickered and went out and my sword could be seen going through his chest

 

"H-How" he asked while spitting up blood confused

 

"Shouldn't have underestimated me" I replied

 

I don't know how I made it in time but I just barely managed that really could have gone either way I'm just glad the sword was strong enough he would have won too if he had just kept doing what he was doing either he would've eventually gotten me or the others would've stepped in and killed me themselves

 

After having my sword through his chest for however long he finally collapsed onto the floor spewing blood; It was weird normally I'd feel bad especially since I was the one who stabbed him I mean I usually feel bad when characters in movies die but for some reason I didn't feel anything except for relief I guess its just because I was dreaming

 

I then let go of my sword while going to pick his up so I could use it against the others speaking of which they came back down after about a minute probably because they noticed that his attack was over and when they saw the current situation the faces that they made while looking at us started to make me feel a little guilty but for some reason that went away just as quickly as it started

 

Scarlet then fell to the floor while starting to cry with Emma looking at the guy emotionless as he laid dead on the floor dead while the big one with the axe seemed to be feeling a mixture of both shock and disgust judging by the look she gave me

 

I then took a deep breath before going over there to fight knowing that id probably die but before I started to move I felt something wet on my face I thought it was weird since it didn't feel like I was crying I then wiped some of it off to look at it but when I did I froze for a second it was that black liquid that started this mess

 

"What the?" I said confused

 

Suddenly the liquid started bursting out of my eyes and ended up blinding me there was so much I could then feel it moving all across my body I started to freak out a little but then as everything was going on I heard a voice

 

"Thank you" the voice whispered

 

"Who are you" I asked a little freaked out

 

"Time will tell but for now go back ill handle the rest come back and find me once your ready" It replied

 

"Ready? Ready for what?"

 

It didn't answer me again and when I could finally see again I was back under my house in my own body with the ball right next to my head I then heard a voice but not the one I wanted unfortunately

 

"Adam hurry up how long you gonna make us wait for" yelled Matt

 

"Uh yeah hang on ill be out in a sec" I replied

 

What the hell was that I wondered I then went to look at the spot where that black liquid was but when I did it was gone "What a strange dream I thought I then began to crawl towards the exit and after getting out I completely forgot about my dream and what it was about

 

I then ran back out the front yard where Matt and John were both waiting for me

 

"Jeez took ya long enough ready to lose?" Matt said with a grin

 

"Yeah whatever just hurry up and kick" I said while passing him the ball

 

I then ran back over my side with John

 

"You should probably shower soon you stink" he said tonelessly

 

"Shut up just focus on the ball" I replied annoyed

 

He then looked at me while smiling "Sure"
