A man whistled as he watched as the winds blew far and wide,

He watched with great amusement to see his descendants flutter through the sky with vigor and amusement,

Though that thought brought forth a pang of pain, as he recalls a mausoleum for a moment.

Where his cherished love now slumbered.

The memory soon passes, while the man cries from his eyes along with the dew.

Though not long, he quickly returns his expression to a smiling face.

For he had to be strong and, had to be firm as one of the last progenitors of his people.

His kind though still strong in number was found lacking in a few areas,

Having to endure and outlast what they were unused to,

They rose to the occasion, even as others demeaned them for their difficulty with their trial.

The mortals may now dominate the world, but that was no reason his kind should squirm in the past.

They too deserved a moment in the breathtaking light shining upon the world.

They too deserved to possess a choice and manner of desire.

They too deserved to be comforted and protected in the dark.
