The Gremlin-like Myrophixes had posed a threat not only to me, but also the planet’s life. I needed to start a campaign to decrease their numbers, even if it’s just inside this forest.

I, along with my aide, Maule, launch a grueling campaign of extermination, using Maule’s keen smell and navigating abilities inside the forest, we found multiple caves that was identified as their nest.

Our grueling extermination campaign was then executed, even though a total victory was out of the picture, that wasn’t my main objective, my main objective was to decrease the planet's Myrophix numbers and exterminate every single Myrophix that I come in contact with.

***

“Micron, Execute identification on the body.”

“Roger.”

Currently, I was identifying a Myrophix's dead body inside one of the caves, that I had identified as a nest, we had currently cleared it. But I always wondered if the Myrophixes that we killed or even the ones in this planet, were really connected to the main species or not.

“Failure to identify. Currently the scanned body had not been registered to the Military intelligence Bureau or the Federation’s registered lifeforms.”

Ahh, that sucks.

It had been 8 days since we had first launched our campaign, and a total of 3 weeks since my initial landing on the planet.

I still hadn’t found anything related to this planet, if there are humans, or the name of the planet, if it’s even safe for colonization with these Myrophix running rampant.

To conserve ammunitions, I used the weaponry that the Myrophix used. Ever since our first raid on the Myrophix’s nest, I had started stealing and using their weaponry, like iron and short swords and daggers. Those that were easy to wield and pack.

Though, the current weapon that I had in my 'stolen' arsenal, were just two iron swords of the low quality and a few throwing daggers.

My current sword had been splattered with blood and its blade is soaking wet and dripping the blood of the Myrohpixes that I had killed earlier.

Inside the cave I waited for my new Logistic and Intelligence officer, Lieutenant Colonel Maule, who was currently scouting the surrounding forest for our next raid.

I was sitting on top of a slayed Myrophix’s body, and was currently waiting for Lieutenant Colonel Maule’s signal howl.

Over the past few days I had been constantly promoting, whilst taming him to be a disciplined pet, to be on par with a few of my military Aides, since he was technically one. Currently our food supplies had dwindled, so we had to start eating the planet’s rich resources, like berries, apples, fruits. I hadn’t come across anything that can be identified as clean meat.

He suddenly started howling and immediately returned to the raided cave that I was currently camping inside of.

“You found another!”

He started barking, and this time a lot more unreserved than his usual self, was he tired of our campaign?, I mean we did launch an all-out assault with barely any rest, I could relate to him a little.

I started running towards him outside the cave, and thanks to his sheer size as a large wolf, I used him as a transport vehicle to reach the next cave. He had currently reached a speed 43 miles per hour, as analyzed by my Nanomachine.

We plan to stop at a significant range away from the Myrophix’s cave to avoid being detected. When we started to reach the cave.

I heard screaming and shouting, but it wasn’t a monster’s, judging by the voice’s pitch it was a female. But I hadn’t understood a single word she said, was it the planet's local dialect.

I, and Lt Col. Maule, took a position hidden behind a small group of medium sized rocks, we had used it as our cover to examine the enemy’s movements.

There I saw a young female human, currently in her teens, she wore a colorful yellow dress, but it was smeared with dirt that could be seen from afar, she was currently being taken by the Myrophixes and hiding her in their cave.

She also had a wagon or carriage of the sorts, which had a crest or symbol engraved on its doors. I looked more into the cave’s surroundings, and noticed her dead escorts being piled up at a corner and being looted by the Myrophix, they had worn full body armor but was pierced by some kind of weapon.

“Maule, I want you to divert the Myrophix’s to the forest and clean them up nicely, Then I'll finish the remaining ones inside, if your done with the ones I assigned you to kill, join me inside the cave.”

I said whilst looking straight at him, he replied with licking my face with his long tongue.

I’ll take that as a yes.

“Now go.”

He ran immediately to the right, and was going to divert the Myrophix guarding the outside. I saw closer that there were some of the female's human escorts and an old man wearing a fancy suit that became prisoners, they were tied up and heavily guarded.

As I waited for Maule to divert their numbers to the forest, a Myrophix guard, came near the prisoners and took the fancy looking old man and moved him inside the cave.

I hadn’t made a move yet, because I can’t risk any casualties on my side or the prisoner’s side either, whether they get killed of early, isn’t my fault.

Then suddenly, Maule released a loud howl inside the forest, I immediately checked on the cave to see their reaction and saw the Myrophix sending a small amount to check, but what took my attention the most, was the Human prisoners, I could tell at a glance that they feared the howl.

Are they cowards? It’s just a wolf’s howl.

The other Myrophixes that were guarding the prisoners soon noticed the one’s they sent earlier hadn’t returned. They started bolstering another small group to take down the monster that was hiding in the woods.

A few minutes later, their sentries and personnel had diminished, without a single one of the search party’s they sent returning.

It was the time to strike.

I stood up immediately and threw some of my throwing daggers on the remaining guards. Taking them by surprise I successfully killed the cave’s exterior guards.

The prisoners that were tied up were shocked but were astonished at the same time. They started speaking but I was unable to understand them.

“Micron, Can you identify or translate their language.”

“Roger.”

“While you do that, I'll finish my the mission.”

As my Nanomachine tried identifying their language I left them for a while outside the cave still tied up. I can’t risk being backstabbed by people I just met and freed.

"Oy! Strange Man where are you going! Untie us!"

A prisoner started yelling, but Arthur, unable to understand them, left to enter the interior of the cave.

I walked inside to see monster’s bones, probably from those that tried to attack them. I walked further inside killing anything that moves.

There, at a distance, I saw the Old man in fancy suit in a depressed like state, at his side was the Human female that started shouting and yelling earlier.

Once the old man noticed me, he started shaking his head along with the human female, warning me that I shouldn’t step any further.

“Jaime, why isn’t that man listening?”

“I don’t know? Maybe he didn't understand us.”

“But, do you think he can stand a chance at the Red-eyed Ogre?”

“I don’t know, your Majesty.”

“But let us hope that he can win.”

The two conversed, but Arthur was unable to understand them as he walked past them.

I didn’t pay attention to their warning or understand their quick conversation and kept walking. As I walked past them and went deeper to the cave, my Nanomachine suddenly announced.

“Danger, Species larger than that of Human’s has been detected, please prepare for combat.”

Ohhh, a Large Myrophix. Just what I was waiting for, I might have become rusty sitting in my armchair all day long

I took out my throwing daggers and prepared myself. There I felt the ground shaking, it started becoming more and more intense, he was near and was getting closer.

Inside the darkness I saw red glowing eyes, the same as mine, glowing in the darkness. His height was almost at 20 ft.

“Micron, Enhance night vision.”

“Roger.”

I was surprised but excited at the same time, but I hid my emotions inside. It was a Large Myrophix.

As my eye’s ability to see through the dark was enhanced, there I saw a Giant Myrophix roughly double my size standing in front of me, it had green skin like the rest that I fought, it had to large fangs erected from its jaw pointing upwards. it was armed with a large wooden club, and wore a small skirt on his waist.

It was my first time encountering this type of Myrophix.

Ok guys, JDC, here, You must be quite confused about this chapter, because of their language barrier and Arthur's not playing RPG's to identify a Goblin and an Ogre so lemme explain:
1. Arthur still doesn't know that the "Myrophixes" he is fighting are just some normal monsters, since it explained that they hadn't been registered in the Federation's Identified Lifeforms. So don't be confused.

2. I'll fix the language barrier in a few chapters.

Anyways thank you for Reading my Novel, and if you have any suggestions on what I could add in the story's future chapters, please chat in the comments
