Excerpt from the The History of Windwell-

One dark night in Windwell Colorado, on May 21st 1953, 513 Tally Drive was found in flames, and the family of three within the house were dead. Authorities claimed that it was a gas leak that caused the tragedy, and most agreed with that story, after all, Windwell wasn't known for its safety. However, some people didn't believe a gas leak was the reason for the tragedy, some believe that someone who disliked the Carpenter family burnt the place down with the intent to murder them. But others who knew the Carpenters knew them as honest, pious folks who doubtfully had anybody who disliked them. Mary Carpenter was sweet but firm as well, she was a beauty and a woman of God, Jack Carpenter was strong and hardworking, and other men envied his seemingly unbreakable masculine character, and the son of Mary and Jack was Colin Carpenter, he was quiet, observant, and sensitive, and loved just as much by others as his parents were. The family was very involved with the First Church of Windwell, and helped with multiple events there, making friends and meeting people who would even consider them family. The Carpenters were seen as a very joyful family. Some Townspeople nowadays say they can sometimes see little Colin riding his bicycle down Tally Drive with a big smile spread across his face, a smile he didn't show often when he was alive. The truth is, the Carpenters never left Windwell, even after that terrible night.
