-----???/Our MC-----

"So, anything else you'd like to know?" I ask Ariel.

"Plenty. First of all, how the fuck do you have so many Skills and Titles including two Ruler Titles, one of which I've never heard of? And why did Administrator S send me a messenger specifically telling me to come to you for answers?"

"Well, that's a long story."

"I've got plenty of time."

"Fuck me, where do I even start on the sheer amount of bullshit involved in this? Hmm, okay. We both know that this world used to be home to a far more advanced civilization."

"Yes?"

"Are you familiar with the idea of their being an infinitely variable Multiverse composed of an infinite number of alternate Universes?"

"More or less."

"Okay, how about the notion that according to an infinitely variable Multiverse, there exists the inevitability that a work of fiction in Universe A depicts the genuine history and sequence of events of Universe B?"

"Hmm... I can see that."

"Great. For the purposes of this analogy, I'm initially from Universe A and this would be Universe B."

"So from your perspective, this is a world which you would have prior knowledge of its history and how things could potentially unfold due to remembering the 'fiction' of your original world?"

"Correct. Though things are a bit different than that since the original timeline didn't account for a Reincarnation having meta-knowledge of this world's plot being present so things are subject to change depending on my actions and the possible consequences of said actions."

"I believe I understand. So according to your 'meta-knowledge', do I achieve my goal?"

"Of saving Sariel? Yes, but it's pretty damn difficult and highly unlikely to achieve without some... let's call it 'specialist assistance'."

"'Specialist assistance'? What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, I'm not the only Reincarnation in this world. As for how that happened... well it involves the previous Demon Lord, the previous Hero, your bastard piece of shit 'father', and your adoptive 'mother' all being a bunch of collective dipshits resulting in a Gamble Pileup that went completely out of control."

"Huh?!"

"Well as I remember it, the previous Demon Lord and Hero both desired to bring the conflict between the Demons and Humans to a peaceful resolution so they secretly arranged to meet up and discuss how to go about cooling things down or something. Then Potimas shows up and gaslights them with some bullshit about the Administrators being the puppet masters behind the forever war between Humans and Demons and that genuine long-lasting peace was impossible to achieve without destroying the Administrators."

"Armed with this knowledge, the Demon Lord and Hero teamed up and activated a secret function of the Demon Lord and Hero Title's that let's them burn up their life force as well as draw upon excess MA Energy from the planet to unleash a devastating anti-God attack and they fired it at the G-man whose name I don't care to try and pronounce, but you know who I mean."

"Yeah, him."

"Yeah, so they fire off this anti-God attack at him, much to Potimas's delight since as far as he's concerned, G-man's the only real threat to his plans to continue exploiting MA Energy while you and the damned Lich Pope are both considered minor irritants." Ariel starts growling at being considered a "minor irritant" by Potimas before I continue.

"So the attack's en route to obliterate G-man, but then Sariel uses her connection to the System to redirect the attack across the universe or something to target Administrator D, the System's Creator, who was masquerading as a High School Student as part of her ploy to avoid fulfilling her obligations as the 'Manager of the Underworld', which may or may not make her responsible for managing the cycle of reincarnation for the entire universe, and the attack explodes in her face more or less."

"The problem was two-fold. First of all, crossing such a vast distance caused most of the energy to be lost in transit since the attack was designed by D to be a defense mechanism for protecting this world against Foreign Gods looking to finish leeching this worlds remaining MA Energy and not some sort of long-range God Sniper or whatever. The second problem was that the attack was scaled for killing G-man, who is a low-ranked God while Administrator D is a high-ranked God. Even if the energy hadn't lost most of its potency from the distance involved, it barely would've tickled her."

"The way the attack is meant to work is that it's meant to borrow some of the world's energy to kill an invading God and then the energy would naturally be reabsorbed by the world along with the energy from the slain God so that there's an overall net gain. It's like an investment of sorts where you pay out some money with the expectation of getting a quick return on investment with some accrued interest. Do you understand all of this so far?"

"Yes, I believe I do, and I think I see where this is going. Because the attack was redirected by Sariel to a completely different planet and ended up NOT killing its new target, then all of the energy expended in the attack was lost... which explains the strange drop in MA Energy I sensed a few months ago. That's when it happened, right?"

"Most likely. And it's wrong to say that ALL of the energy was lost; part of the recollection did take place and it ended up pulling in the souls of D's classmates, the teacher, the pet spider, and myself though originally I wouldn't have been involved. Since all of those souls were pulled back to this world's cycle of reincarnation, D decided partially out of sense of responsibility and mostly out of a desire for amusement to grant the Reincarnations access to the System through the [n%I=W] Skill as well as some 'Cheat Skills' as compensation... sort of."

"So there's how many of these other Reincarnations running around?"

"Should be about 25 more. Most were reincarnated as Humans, one's an Elf, one's a Goblin, one's a spider, one's a Progenitor Vampire born to Human parents, and then there's me."

"Hold up. Did you say that one's an Elf?! And another's a Progenitor Vampire?!"

"Yes and yes." Ariel immediately starts groaning at that, and for good reason. The fact that one's an Elf means it's possible that Potimas either already knows about the Reincarnations or soon will, which is a big problem. Then the Progenitor Vampire is also a problem since Vampire's in this world are bloodthirsty battle maniacs, so much so that one Vampire became a Demon Lord and was such a menace that the Humans dedicated everything in their power to rendering Vampires completely extinct.

"The conditions have been met. Skill [Telepathy] has reached [Level 2]."

No surprise there, I've been "talking" up a storm with Ariel here for the last few minutes.

Then Ariel turns back to me. "Okay, so Reincarnations were given 'Cheat Skills' by Administrator D and sent to this world, I got all of that. How does that explain you and where does Administrator S come into this?"

"Well, D took measures to handle the Reincarnations that were basically at ground zero for the Godslayer attack but didn't concern herself with the 'fallout'. There were some stray bolts of destructive magic flung all over the place and I was unlucky enough to get hit by one of them. Administrator S managed to retrieve and heal my soul before it collapsed from the damage done by the attack and since I was a casualty of a stray bolt, my soul wasn't pulled into the recollection of energy and D more or less ignored me. Administrator S then gave me the option of either remaining on my world with some minor boons such as a new body and stuff, or giving me a shit-ton of Blessings to give me a leg up before reincarnating in this world. Given that potential Godhood was on the table, I decided to embrace the 'high risk, high reward' mentality."

"And that's supposed to explain the ridiculous number of Skills and your absurd Titles? Including the two Ruler Titles which also includes a Ruler Title I've never heard of?"

"Yep. [Ruler of Instinct] is something specially created by Administrator S as a 'true Cheat Skill/Title' for me because she was annoyed with D's antics and wanted me to help her screw with D, who is her boss. Sadly, our Greed was too great since while S was able to grant me a shit-ton of Blessings to get a massive head start on my new life, D took exception to that and basically cursed me so that I can't gain any more Skill Points than what I currently possess."

Ariel actually flinches at that. "Ouch, that's rough."

"Meh, I'm sure I'll manage. Have you seen the bullshit effects of [Ruler of Instinct]?"

"No? Can I check?"

"Go ahead. Hell, check all of my unique shit if you feel like it."

-----Demon Lord Ariel-----

Casting [Appraisal] on this strange Champion of Administrator S to see what they're smug about, I suddenly find myself wanting to curse the unfairness of the world.

"[Ruler of Instinct]: Slowly gain proficiency in any skill you haven't used for at least 24 hours. It even works on "level 0" skills you can earn without skill points. The title itself gives a 50% growth boost to HP, SP, and MP and Miscellaneous skills. Grants Retroactive and Prism Attack."

I mean, I guess that neatly handles the inability to gain Skill Points. So what do [Retroactive] and [Prism Attack] do?

"[Retroactive]: This skill makes it so skills which grant growth correction are treated as if you had them since level 1, retroactively granting their level-up bonuses. This even accounts for levels from previous evolutions."

"[Prism Attack]: This skill allows you to make use of all your attack skills simultaneously. You get a 5% SP/MP discount per level, and conflicting elements like fire and ice don't get negated, allowing the full effect of all the attack skills to hit."

Okay, [Retroactive] is complete bullshit! That kind of Skill would quickly turn even a low level individual into an absolute beast if they had sufficiently leveled Stat & Ability Skills.

And it just occured to me that [Ruler of Instinct] theoretically guarantees reaching [Divinity Expansion Lvl.10] due to its passive proficiency gain. That is totally unfair and Potimas would absolutely loose his shit if he found out about it.

I'm so going to delight in rubbing it in his face when the time comes. Let's see, anything else that stands out and may be worth appraising? What thel hell is [Hold Back], [Friendly Fire], [Instructor], [Genetic Recall], [Divine Protection], and [Protagonist]?

"[Hold Back]: While this skill is active, any attack the user does which would drop a target's HP to 0, instead drops it to 1 HP, and knocks them unconscious."

"[Friendly Fire]: This skill will make it so any attacks you make can't hurt your allies unless you want them to."

"[Instructor]: This skill lets you forcibly unlock skills for others, spending your own skill points to grant them a skill they don't have."

"[Genetic Recall]: This skill will give you the ability to visualize a full evolution tree of your chosen monster type. It includes what bonuses you get for which evolutions, and exactly what the requirements are for them."

"[Divine Protection]: This skill greatly enhances luck, helping guide events to be more in your favor."

"[Protagonist]: You will be able to choose a second Ruler Title as a blessing. This comes at a cost however. Not only is it very Taboo, but by taking this title, your divinity field will be especially strong, something which the Administrators will take note of. You become a known dangerous element."

What the hell?! Some of those Skills actually sound pretty decent. [Friendly Fire] in particular would be nearly godlike for mages who specialize in AoE bombardment Spells. And [Instructor]... there's definitely some potential there. [Divine Protection] also sounds incredibly interesting as well. [Protagonist] sounds a bit troublesome though, though I guess it explains how this Snake has two Ruler Titles off the bat.

Anything else? [Revenge]? Isn't that Skill supposed to be limited to those "Revenge Monkeys"? Maybe it's something different?

"[Revenge]: If you perish, everyone of your species within a 10 mile radius is alerted, and will instinctively try to destroy the one who killed you."

Nope, it's absolutely the "Revenge Monkey" Skill. How the hell does the Snake have that? Probably something to do with "Administrator S" somehow. Still, these Reincarnations... they must be the "Specialist Assistance" the Snake's talking about.

"Anything else you feel like telling me about?"

The Snake just looks at me smugly. Somehow. "Plenty."
