It's very chaotic outside, little Bori Kahn could hear many noises and unusual sounds that could make anyone shiver and wet their pants in fright.

He was really scared. He wanted to go out and find his mother, but he was afraid that his mother would get angry once he came out.

"...what to do..." Little Bori Kahn was agitated and anxious. It's all his father's fault, ah! If only that old man didn't run around so fast, his mother would not leave him here alone...

"...mother...come back fast...I'm scared..."

"Hayss~ The Emperor is out there fighting, but I'm here waiting around for the battle to end." Hua Zhou complained as he shook his head with regret. "I was promoted and was appointed to Garrison Troops in this expedition, though it's not as dangerous when I was still in the Army, I still wish to move my body and swing my sword."

(A/N: Garrison Troops– were made up of soldiers who have tasks to guard a particular place or location.)

Hearing his comrade, Tung Xiang almost couldn't stop himself from kicking this man flying straight to the front lines.

Sitting inside the tent, Tung Xiang and Hua Zhou were resting after being just relieved from their duty. It was already evening, the battle at the Rouran Tribe was still ongoing. As expected from the tribe that occupied the ranks of strongest martial artists. They are difficult to deal with.

Tung Xiang and Hua Zhou came from the army under the same General. They've known each other since they were trainee recruits, until both of them were promoted.

Tung Xiang knew Hua Zhou wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to fight. This man is an excellent soldier, more so, a martial artist. Hua Zhou is one of those who could regulate their chi and use it for battle. Tung Xiang could do it as well, but not as good as Hua Zhou. Nevertheless, he was proud of this friend of his. Though sometimes he couldn't help but want to smack him hard on the head. Heaving a heavy sigh, Tung was trying to convince himself that Hua Zhou is younger than him.

"Why are you so quiet, old Tung." Hua Zhou took his chair and brought it beside Tung, so they could sit together. "It's been a year since the Emperor started the expedition, and it seems it will take longer, maybe two or three years for this to end."

"What are you trying to say in the end?" This man is always like this. Tung Xiang can't help but feel irritated with this man's nonstop chatter.

Hua Zhou laughed embarrassed, "well, you know how I received a letter from my family days ago? They're urging me to come home and marry after the expedition."

Lifting a brow, Tung changed his attitude and began teasing the man. "Oh. Did your family find a good match for you already? Did you receive her picture together with the letter?"

Seeing Hua Zhou blushed like an innocent man in his teens, Tung Xiang was speechless. "What the heck, Hua Zhou! Why are you looking like a virgin, blushing like that, huh?! Don't be so disgusting, you're a soldier for crying out loud!"

"What does it have to do with me being a soldier?! I'm getting married, so I'm happy, don't be a killjoy."

"Heh. Hua Zhou, who only thinks about training? Hua Zhou, who considers his precious sword as his own wife? Hua Zhou who likes to run everywhere and challenge everyone to a fight? Hua Zhou who likes to–"

Hua Zhou stopped Tung Xiang before he could finish his speech. His face was now red, he felt so ashamed. Why does this man have to blubber so much?!

"You don't understand! A single dog like you can't understand the feeling of being betrothed, especially to a beautiful woman!"

"Who says I'm single?! I'm going to marry someone after the expedition as well!"

Their voices turned louder and louder, as the two captains began their arguments once again. The surrounding soldiers ignore them and keep themselves busy, while the others couldn't help but roll their eyes towards a certain tent, especially to those who came from the same company as these two captains.

Captain Tung and Captain Hua were from different companies, but despite them being separated by their promotion, they still stayed close. And even though they argue almost everyday, soldiers under them never really saw them fight one another.

Commander Bai also heard the commotion inside the tent, and couldn't help but sigh. He doesn't know whether he should be thankful or what. He doesn't need to order his soldier to look around for his second in command in such a huge military camp. All he needs to do is open his ears wide and listen to where Hua Zhou's voice is coming from.

Anyway, he was such a kind Commander. He was the one going towards his subordinate, instead of them waiting upon his call. Ah, that Hua Zhou should be thankful for this, Commander has a good temper, or else...

Pushing the curtains of the tent, Commander Bai went straight inside the tent. The two voices arguing stopped as well.

"Could this Emperor have an honour of knowing this warrior's name?"

Father Kahn intently stared at his enemy. Both of them were panting hard. Their bodies were both tired and full of injuries. But despite it, Father Kahn never let his guard down in front of this enemy.

Seeing him asking with all smiles, Father Kahn, actually thought that this was an official match and that they were just playing around, he might be looking at this person with bright smiles and eyes full of admiration. After all, there are not many who could stay standing when they faced him off as an opponent.

This guy, the leader of the invaders, is a strong man. But he was no warrior.

Even if Father Kahn felt internal energy in the Emperor's body, and the way he controlled it and used it in the battle, Father Kahn can't let any praise out of his mouth.

Because, this man is insane.

Looking at the enemy, Father Kahn's eyes turned cold. He doesn't know how his wife and son are now. Whether they are safe or not. He was actually worried, but he can't let his mind wander facing such a strong enemy.

Feeling his body deteriorating from exhaustion and blood loss, Father Kahn decided to end it now!

The Emperor saw that he wasn't responding to his question. He wasn't angry, he actually expected it. He may be crazy, but he was still the Emperor, he is not stupid.

Still, he stared at his opponent with full interest. His eyes filled with stars. No matter how much he looked, this man never ceased to amaze him.

Lips twisting up in a morbid smile, the Emperor was truly in a good mood. He never thought he would meet such perfect art.

This man, no matter where he looked, he was cool and beautiful. Especially, with the bloody battle field filling in the background.

Every cuts and bruises that decorate his body, the blood that painted his skin and clothes. The dust and dirt pasted in his skin were not blemished, but instead it made Father Khan look more daunting.

And this style...this look...the Emperor likes it so much.

"Wei." The Emperor opened his mouth. But this action did not affect Father Kahn much. He didn't actually care.

"My surname is Wei." After introducing his name, Emperor Wei witnessed how Father Kahn moved much faster than before.

Father Kahn charged at Emperor Wei. Hiding his sword, he rotated his wrist and slash his sword towards his enemy. While he uses his right hand to attack the front hand, his left hand sneakily goes to his back and gets the only remaining dagger left there. And threw it towards the incoming soldier, who went running towards them, planning on protecting his leader.

Emperor Wei didn't care who died, his eyes just stared straight at Father Kahn, never leaving. When Father Kahn charged forward, though his speed increased, the Emperor stood within the distance where he could be prepared to defend Father Kahn's attack.

They exchanged blows once again.

After what happened to their comrade, the surrounding soldiers don't dare interfere again. They just concentrate on their own fight. With how strong their mighty Emperor is, they are sure, their Majesty will not lose.

"Ro! This is bad!"

Ro turned his head back, witnessing his friend running drenched in blood, his body went cold. Without second thoughts, he ran towards his friend.

"Can you walk?" It's not a question, but a statement. Even if the man can't gather any strength to walk anymore, To will force him to walk!

"No! Leave me! You need to run! You need to escort them to hide! Now!" To gritted his teeth. He can't accept it. He can't. Why is this happening?!

"What are you doing?!!!" The man pushed Ro. "The invaders are coming! They are tracking us down! And now, they have managed to sniff our trials!

"No! That was Impossible!"

"Just go! They need you!" The man pushed the shocked Ro even further. He gathered his remaining strength and ran towards the opposite path. "I will bring the others! This will buy you time! Make sure you take them to safety!! Promise me, Ro!!"

Without even hearing whether Ro promised him or not, the man disappeared together with a few of their tribesmen, within the darkness of the woods.

Commander Tung: "What is it, Author? Are you going to talk about my name that you didn't even think hard of?"

Hua Zhou: "I could hear you complaining in your tone! Old Tung, what's the matter? You don't like your new name? Actually Xiang is also good."

Author: "That's right. Also I couldn't write you as Commander Tung, since you're not yet a Commander here."

Commander Tung: "Fine. I don't care anymore."

Emperor Wei: "That's right. It doesn't matter. As long as this Emperor has a name. Nothing matters anymore."
