Formerly, butlers who serve noble houses are usually the head stewards of the estate.

However, in the modern era, butlers are more like personal assistants and most often, their master's most trusted confidante.

For an esteemed duke like Luke Alexander Grosvenor, it was only essential for him to have a butler than he can rely on. That's why there is Hamish Thompson.

Hamish has been trained in the finest universities and takes pride in his job. For him, it was an honour and prestige to be able to do a job that was not so common nowadays.

Ever since the Duke came back to England four years ago, Hamish had been his reliable assistant. Due to Hamish's efficiency, Luke's burdens upon being the head of the Grosvenor family have lessened considerably.

As much as Luke trusts him, Hamish has a strong respect for his master as well.

But during this instance, the dependable butler could not help but think that the task that his master has given him was quite troublesome.

'I still need to gather more sources to pinpoint this person...' he mused.

Quickly, Hamish shook his head and blinked his eyes a few times, in attempt to refresh his state.

Hamish has personally visited Lonsdale Imperial Suites and along with some of the hotel's staff, they meticulously reviewed the CCTV tapes to find a clear shot of the unknown woman that saved George.

Afterwards, one of the staff have pointed that the woman was most likely a cleaner, based from her uniform. And so, they have asked other cleaners and finally found the name of that woman.

Right now, Hamish was looking over the woman's employee profile provided by the hotel. It was not much, but he has seen an overview about that woman.

'So she's a foreigner working on a temporary visa... Is it really okay for His Grace and Young Master to meet a person like this? Even if she did save Young Master, what if she will take advantage of the situation when she finds out that Young Master is of noble blood?' he could not help but ponder sceptically.

Dalena thought that today was just going to be her usual day working at the nursing home. But suddenly, on the middle of her shift, her supervisor called and told her that she has a guest waiting for her at the conference room.

What guest? Dalena couldn't think of anyone who could possibly visit her. More so, when did they ever let guests in the conference room? As far as Dalena knew, that room was only reserved for the higher-ups and high-ranking guests.

Even though she had been working in the nursing home for a while as a carer, she has never had the privilege to enter there beforehand.

Once Dalena opened the door, she saw an English man dressed in a formal suit. The man had a cold aura around him and he was looking at Dalena with an aloof expression.

"Are you Dalena Angeles?" the man asked right away.

Dalena did not react right away. Who is this man, anyway? Why did her supervisor tell her to go here?

But somehow, she felt that there was not anything to gain by denying her identity. It was better for her to be honest and assess the situation for a while.

"Yes, Sir. I am Dalena Angeles and I work here as a part-time carer..."

The man simply nodded at her, "Please sit down."

Dalena bit her lips a bit, a bit nervous. However, she followed the man and sat across him, facing him directly.

"It is nice to finally meet you, Miss Angeles. I am Hamish Thompson. To be frank, I am here today because we have found that you have saved our Young Master George when he faced a peril in Lonsdale Imperial Suites a few days ago. With that, I am requesting on behalf of my masters, if you could spare some time to meet them?"

Dalena couldn't help but widen her mouth a little, not totally processing what Hamish have said.

'Young Master George? Lonsdale Imperial Suites?'

Since she was bombarded with work everyday, it was quite difficult for her to remember the events that have happened.

But upon the mention of the name 'George', she finally remembered a particular memory that did happen a few days ago, when she met an adorable little kid.

Dalena frowned her eyebrows a little and let out a nervous chuckle, "Oh, it's fine. It's not a bother to me. I didn't do much and only did what any normal people would do."

"I beg to disagree, Miss. Young Master George was running away from a dangerous person and ended up locking himself in that room. If you weren't there, I am afraid that it would have been difficult for his bodyguards to locate him quickly."

Dalena's eyes drooped a little upon hearing the reason why the little boy somehow ended up on that room that day. Just what kind of life does the little boy lead to face a situation like that at such a young age?

"So Miss Angeles, would you please accept the invitation? Young Master George has specifically requested to meet you again."

Dalena bit her lips, thinking about the situation. An invitation, huh? To be able to see that little boy again, of course it would be nice. The little boy was too adorable and was able to make her heart joyous even with such a short encounter.

However, she has to think rationally. Dalena shook her head at the thought, not minding Hamish's presence. She has work and if she misses even one shift, it would be a waste of her time.

In short, she cannot be a selfish person and mindlessly follow her desires. She has to focus on work, work, work.

Dalena couldn't help but let out a regretful sigh before speaking.

"I'm sorry, Sir. As much as I'd like to meet again, I have work to do. You see, I am a foreign worker in this country and I need to maximise the time that I am here. I cannot miss even just one shift of my work, or else I won't survive my circumstances..."

Hamish continued to stare at Dalena in a calm manner, quietly inspecting her.

Perhaps, his prejudices were wrong. As he observes the manner that Dalena speaks, he could tell that she was a genuine person. She was the type of person that you can read easily, as her thoughts seemed to be plastered on her face.

It took Hamish strenuous efforts just to be able to find her and it is also the first time that his Young Master George have requested something to Luke, so he is certain that he will disappoint his masters a lot if he were to fail in this task.

"Miss Angeles, I assure you that it won't take for long. Besides, my masters are keen on rewarding you, which may be worth more than triple to what you usually earn in an hour."

Hamish was the Duke's butler for a reason. He is not only a perfectionist, but he is also competitive. He does not mind using any means, just in order to complete the tasks that the Duke has given him...
