After only a brief visit inside Blake’s body, I detoured into a pile of blue jelly in a huge cave. Cats crawled beside fluorescent colors dancing on the walls.

I was jelly. Nothing more.

But I could wiggle. And I could see my reflection rippling across the glowing cave walls.

Two big brown eyes emerged in the haze. A monk in a robe leaned over a stone table, his long white hair and beard spilling down like a waterfall.

He studied me with calm, ancient patience.

“Hello. I’m Roach Rhino. I’m your guide on this journey.”

My jiggling reflection on the cave walls made me laugh.

“Good. But why do they call you Rhino?”

He slammed his fist on the table. His big brown eyes widened.

“Because I charge through lies like a rhino until I get to the truth.”

“I’ll try. You don’t seem like a fun guy to lie to.”

“I’m not. Using lies as your guide is ridiculous.”

“I’ll try to avoid it.”

“See you again soon, Shark.”

He flashed away.

I flashed back into Blake Brimstone. Wow. Being drunk felt good. Too bad it came with undesirable side effects. I felt his arms and legs but was too sloppy drunk to move.

Even so, I was able‑bodied.

The paralyzed Shark had vanished.
