Chapter 18- Drakasma's Plight!

It didn't take us long to find Drakasma, the only security he had was zombies, and Tessa and i were more than enough for them.

We reached the throne room and what we saw tugged at our heartstrings..

Lying on the ground and barely breathing was a large black dragon, but he looked awful, his body was torn, showing traces of bone, his wings long since rotted away, the stench of decomposing flesh filled our noses, Kyo looked like she was about to throw up, Mari was already at a nearby wall doing so.

The dying beast opened it's eyes, which were bloodshot, and saw us, "So, that infernal goddess has sent her heroes to finish the job, just make it quick."

"What the hell happened to you?" i asked.

"Heh, no one's ever asked me that before, well i guess i can indulge you with my tale before i die..." he said with a chuckle.

He soon stood up and faced us, he let out a nasty cough and told us his tale, "I was once one of the Demon King's strongest generals, i comanded legions of wyverns and unleashed hell upon Gaias, but then..that fiend of a Goddess, Bellamei along with a trio of heroes poisoned my king and slaughtered my wyverns without mercy, she then had the gall to kill off my fellow dragons, the True Dragons!"

"Why would she kill them? they weren't loyal to the Demon King?" i asked, tilting my head.

"Heh, very true, but many of them were loyal to Hephia, Goddess of Fire and Forge as well as Kunia, Goddess of Wealth, those who were not loyal to her, she had killed without mercy, until only i remained, i was able to repel her heroes, but she soon sent more, which took a massive toll on my body, in an act of desperation, i placed a curse on the land, the Black Rain, hoping it would keep her off my back, but seeing you here, i can see my curse failed." Drakasma coughed, finding it difficult to speak with every breath.

"I'm going to assume that the curse took a lot out of you.." Kyo said.

"That infernal spell drained my life force, causing me to slowly rot!" he growled, "Now i'm but a shell of my former self, i can't even fly anymore!"

Soon, the mark on my forehead began to glow again, and we soon heard the voice of Milas.

"Noble Dragon, there is hope! we can end this madness, but we need your help..." Milas said.

"How can i help..i can barely stand!" Drakasma sneered.

"Kyo is a Dragon Knight, transfer the last of you life force to her!" Milas said.

Daniel gulped, in all his life as a priest, he has never even heard the voice of the other gods.

"I see, very well Kyo step foward..." Drakasma spoke.

Kyo did as she was told, not wanting to piss off a god.

Drakasma lifted his paw and placed his massive talon on Kyo's forehead.

"Drasolv, Inagu, toridai! (Freely i give my life to you!) he spoke in ancient dialect.

A massive purple glow swallowed Kyo and filled the entire castle!

When it died, Drakasma was gone, not a trace of him remained, but in his place was Kyo but she had changed greatly.

Her crimson armor had turned pitch black with purple accents, massive, black and purple wings adorned her back, a long, muscular tail swayed back and forth jet black horns sprouted on her head, her hair remained the same but with purple highlights.

Her human hands were now powerful claws and her skin was now a deep purple with jet black scales.

Kyo open her now golden, reptile-like eyes, "Holy Shit! i feel great!"

She soon checked her stats:

Skill 1- Black Flame Slash: A burning slash that deals fire damage as well as poison foes, Costs 80 MP.

Skill 2- Abyss Flame Aura: surrounds the user in a purple, firey aura that boosts ATK and DEF for 3 hours, Costs 100 MP.

Skill 3- Black Rain: Summons a cloud of black rain that traps foes and greatly reduces SPD, Costs 75 MP.

Skill 4- Draconic Transformation- Transforms the user into a powerful black dragon, boosting all stats for 5 hours, Costs 150 MP.

"Fuck Yeah! this feels awesome!" Kyo squeaked, her fist pumping in the air,

We then heard Drakasma's voice one last time, "Treasure this power child, as this will be greatest weapon against Bellamei, i hope you will be a better dragon than i was....farewell..."

Milas spoke again, "This power will protect you against Bellamei, tread carefully when you return to the castle, Bellamei will most likely have plans for you...."

With our mission complete we exit the castle to find that the black rain had stopped, not only that, the black muck it left behind was also gone, like it was never there in the first place..

I took a deep breath and smiled, Tessa smiled as well.

We made our way back to the village, all of us feeling lighter than ever....
